Y'all know I can fly, right? Ya'll knew I can fly at mach one, right? It's hard to see in the drawing, but that's a shock wave propagating from where I took off. See the flames-inside-flames? Those are called mach disks or shock diamonds. They show up within a free-jet boundary when the exhaust from a combustion system is either more or less pressurized than the surrounding atmosphere. It's SCIENCE!
