Cat, I have a friend that wants to join, but the rules say that one has to use proper grammar and spelling. The only and major problem is that he literally cannot spell well, so what looks like text speak is actually his level of spelling ability. He also has ADHD and autism put together, so that only compounds the problem.
He's also upset that nobody will take him seriously. I've voice chatted with him and he sounds just like you and I do. He's not stupid, in fact, he seems much more mature in person than in a text chat.
Uhh, I fixed it. There was an invalid kick for you in the database, which said you were kicked in year 0 and it would have ended on 09/26/33658 5:46:40pm.
I read your post on the "advertisement" reply to my post, when you also said that users should use the report button instead of what I gathered as PMing or VMing you about a bad post.
Well, usually when I do it, it's because to be honest, I don't think it's really that important, just an annoyance. Certainly not enough to report someone over it.
But yeah, if it gets bad enough with someone, then I'll report it.
My only real suggestion (other than when I talk to him) is to not try to make everyone try to pity you when there is a lively discussion. I know it's kind of on accident, but that's rather what some people do not like.
It's one thing to have an argument over something. It's another when one user reports another. I Haven't attacked or harassed him (other than words that are so ambiguous that they seem that way). I really can't help it if he doesn't like me, but it's only natural to have some concern if I'm getting reported for it. I don't mean him any disrespect or anything, but along with Hino, he really doesn't like me for some reason. He said it was my attitude, but I told him that I have problems controlling my emotions (bipolar tendencies).
I hope this gets sorted out before anyone gets in trouble.
Screen sharing can be handy at times, especially when you want to show someone how to do something but don't want to whip out the remote desktop (TeamViewer).
I just added you on ***** . If you have a microphone and some time on your hands (I know you're busy a lot), maybe you could have a chat with Buizel-man (as TurtwigX likes to call me).
It's the users posting their own pictures, not other people. Nobody is being forced to put their photograph up. If somebody doesn't want to, others will have to respect that. Because the topic is one of those fun ones, anyone saying "come on, I want to see your pretty face" is just joking around.
But the pictures of the users IS private information. Not many people would be willing to show what they look like online. I don't know what you look like, nor would I ask for a picture of you. That's because your appearance is private information.
If that happens, it would be best for the victim to report the problem to an administrator. It's clearly written in the rules not for anyone to provide private information to strangers.
It might seem unlikely, but should someone gain that information (let's say an extremist troll), that person might contact other users, one of which may actually know that person, and get the victim's address that way. There are two possible (although unlikely) scenarios in which that could occur.
1: The user can't keep secrets about his/her friends.
Hm, I've heard a mixed bag about picture threads. Due to them being completely the posters' choices for whether or not to supply them, I feel that people should best respect privacy of members and not go about sharing them all over the Internet, or worse, "Photoshopping" them to death.
I've seen picture threads on other forums receive the same criticism. However, I haven't heard of very many cases of a picture alone revealing addresses and phone numbers.
There's a certain thread I'm concerned about. You know the "Post your pictures" thread? I think it's a safety hazard. People with questionable motives can use those pictures to find out where they live, so they can do whatever they please to the users.
I'm only saying this because I'm concerned for those who have already posted theirs.
