Okay, if you ever want advice or anything I'll help. I'm no master battler either, but I have the analytical and competitive side that helps me out.

I'm not a competitive battler, I just do it cause it's fun. But my teams worked well on people just weeks prior, I was even able to beat Suicune and he's my biggest rival. I don't think I'm gonna change anything just yet due to how strict my regulations are, but after 8 battles I'm gonna analyze it and see what needs work.

I try to use pokémon I like as well, but my competitive streak pushes me. I like Ninetales, for example, but it has poor stats and it's only competitive use is Drought on sun teams. I have accepted that Ninetales cannot perform well for my team, so I have been forced to discount her.
I dislike some of the tier decisions, but I overall agree that it has a purpose. Some pokémon are, by the nature of their programming, poor battlers. Some I use anyway (Shedinja <3) but some just don't work. I agree that some things, like MegaGengar, ought to be banned. If not, every other person would run one, and it would be dull and centralize the meta game.

I could help you if you like with redesigning a team. Most of your pokémon could work if done well, and some are excellent, but there are a few moves I would exchange for others. Overall though, you have a good team and a good battle sense. You did really well!

I hate the tierlist, I use the Pokémon that I like that I see have potential. I'm bad at setting up movesets, but I rarely turn to Smogon for anything. Also, I follow my strict rules of 1 rep per generation (counting Kanto and Johto as equals, Johto had no good grass types...)

I try to use mythological names both because it works with my mythical fairy theme and because I'm a mythology nerd. My 'slash will be named Thanatos if male or Freya if female.

You are using a lot of RU pokémon, to use the smogon tiers. Some hate the tiers, but there are reasons for their existence, so although I use a lot of pokémon in unorthodox ways or just underused ones, I still generally look to smogon for guidance.

I also have no organized teams per se. I have a my of trained Fairy-types and then a lot of others, and put them together depending on what roles I need them to fill.

I think I might need to redo my entire team. I've sure made mistakes, but I haven't won a single battle yet.

I actually really love both of your teams. Especially the names, I find them close to heart.
