It's much harder online. One of my theories is I'm a low-level psychic, and that wouldn't work over such long distances.

Those who I've been honest with often call me "good at reading people". I can guess people's motives well, and have deduced things like sexual orientation out of people I barely knew.

In that case, you'd really like AP Psychology. :3 My school offered it as a course and I almost regret not taking it.

I agree about the details. They make it too academic. My interest in history is more due to the psychological aspect of mythology. Really, that's my favorite subject. Psychology.

Ahhh History, it's one of my least favorite subjects (no offense). AP European history was horrible for me, there were too many little details to remember.

Being an intelligent nerd and all, I'm pretty good with math and science, but my favorite broad subject would have to be History, specifically ancient civilizations, their languages, and their mythologies. I'm also very into life sciences, but that may come from my desire to change my body rather than a genuine interest.
Like Professor Tolkien, I believe that language and mythology are connected. Together they can tell us quite a bit about a civilization's values.

I think it's because of that reason that I became more of a science and math guy. (I'm not taking any English or History classes in college yet )

Many of my English teachers also lacked social proficiency and charisma...

My recent English teachers have been very boring lately minus my last English teacher and every teacher before 10th grade. My 10th and 11th grade English teachers just lacked charisma. >_>

There was a poem in the textbook that we read once. The gist of it was:
"I told them to enjoy the poem. They just wanted to figure out what it really meant."
My teacher said she didn't really understand it. It described class very well :/

Yeah, my AP English teacher wasn't very creative. :< I felt like all we did in AP English was study poetry instead of creating it. One person in class even asked if we were going to ever write poetry and he said no.

I just read your poem, and it's great! I definitely agree with your points about the lack of creativity in class. The same teacher often took points off when I "went off on a tangent" in a creative writing assignment. She also took points off in an essay about women's rights where I stated that even if there was an intelligence difference between the sexes, it should have no bearing on human rights. I said it didn't matter in that case. She crossed it out, wrote "Yes it does!" and took ten points off. She was a very interesting lady.

Personally, I've never understood why some people dislike poetry so much. My eighth grade English teacher hated it with a passion, but she still had to teach it.

Oh, of course. ^^ I haven't written much poetry myself, but this past year of AP English really made me start appreciating it. I've only posted one poem on here.

Hehe thanks. ^^ I'm almost certain that tournaments can be held by everyone too, not just mods. So if you have the urge to make one and lots of people are willing to join, I would go for it.

Not that often unfortunately. :< Tournaments usually happen around the time new games get released.

Ditto is the ultimate revenge killer, and can situationally be a sweeper. I copied a Salamence and proceeded to sweep.

That Ditto had the same item as my Flygon. That thing is a destructive revenge killer.

Ditto needs some luck too to work well, but it works often enough.

Yeah, Gaga takes a bit of luck to work well. I got the idea to use a physical Jynx when I watched one of Jimmy31428's videos. (it's a shame, but she doesn't do many battles anymore...)

Physical Jynx is unexpected, but it might not work too well. Lovely Kiss is always excellent, but the Sleep Clause in competitive play. Still, if it can work, try it. That's what I usually do, and it sometimes works.

Once I lost my Mawile because of that crit, I was pretty sure I was going to lose after that. I wanted to test a few Pokémon including that Toxic stall Mawile and my Physical Jynx.

Thanks for the advice. I'm afraid I'll need it. It's somewhat similar to Type Expert in the PWT. Not only will they be using a certain type, but they'll be using types that are good against its weaknesses.

Sometimes you'll have to think ahead and go the extra step. You'll have to think which types the gym leaders will use in order to cover their weaknesses for the type they're in control of and try to find a counter for that. It's...complicated.

Oh, yay...gotta prepare. I currently have few counters for Steels, and three of my pokémon on my current team are weak to Dark...

Oh, good luck! The last 3 gym leaders are considerably tough, so you'll need to take risks to make the right predictions.

The problem with that is I normally avoid breeding. I do for some, but the majority of the time I do not. I'm gonna think it over, but I probably will not participate.

Little Cup is slightly easier than normal competitive battles. No EV training is required, and all you really need are good breeding tactics for certain moves.

Yeah, he's busy with academics. New organizers might be chosen in the future in order to keep the league running.

I noticed that Spirit hasn't logged in since March.

The last time we had a renovation, I think it took about a month after BW2 were released. However, even after one month, some gym leaders still weren't ready. Another thing that might prolong the process is that Spirit and Aura (the gym league organizers) are busy a lot and they don't have a lot of time to manage the league.

Hopefully you'll find time to be a Gym Leader after classes. How long would the renovation take? I can usually beat a pokémon game's storyline in a week, and start my training soon after.

Hmmm that's definitely a doable goal. The gym league will most likely get renovated when X and Y come out- that will be your chance to send in your application. I'd be more confident to apply for a Psychic gym leader spot, but I'm going to be in college when X and Y come out.

And no problem with the set, I used it on my old Gallade when I wanted to make an original set that wasn't taken from lolsmogon.

It was easy to determine which of her pokémon worked effectively against my team and which did not. I also factored in that she needed to keep at least three Flying-types on her team. As my team is still new, it helped me figure out how balanced my team was and work on that as well.
I'm really, really excited for Fairies. At the moment I'm against using Dragon-types (aside from maybe a Hydreigon now and then) so it'd be nice to have a better counter for them than my Ditto. I've already prepared a spot on my team for Sylveon, and my lovely Gardevoir (thanks for the set by the way!) will have some new tricks as well. My goal is to become VR's Fairy-type Gym Leader as soon as possible.

Ohhh you got predictions down? I wish I was still a psychic gym leader here (even though I do kinda like the new Fairy type).

Thanks! I'm still learning, but I have a lot of alternates. I figured out who she would continue using and who she might switch out for the rematch, and I swapped in counters accordingly.
