Eh, I suppose if you account for inflation. Perhaps. Maybe.

My personal ideals and views aside, yes. I think it would at the very least make it easier to move up in an organization.

I'm not saying you'll make 200K this year, but in 10-20 years, I bet you could.

I think to go further up the chain than sysadmin, I am going to need a bachelors degree.

Oh, you're still working toward your bachelor's. I failed to notice that part of your post. I have a bachelor's degree, and I don't make anywhere near the low end of your estimate. My mom's a pharmacist working full time and she doesn't make anywhere near the high end. Divide both numbers by two and then you're looking at something more realistic.

If you think you'll get a sense of accomplishment out of it, go for it.

Heh, heh, heh... oh, I would have done that long ago if I could have. I am a sysadmin, yes, but I'm also a contractor. I'm not paid to do things right, I'm paid to do what I'm told to do. Thank God I'm working with people who know the right way to do things so I at least have an idea of how a functional environment is set up.

I really don't want to go back, I want to take the lazy way out, but I think that a bachelors degree will be the difference between 80K and 200K. I also would like to get it so that I have the self accomplishment of it.

If you are the sysadmin, then install RSAT on your client, enable a GPO that enables WinRM Rules and apply it on all of your servers. Can do everything that is not hardware related right form my desk, Since a good chunk of my servers are also virtual, I can also power them off and on. As long as a both of my hosts don't go down. I can be lazy and sit here.

I'm a systems administrator too, specifically windows. The environment isn't conducive to it, to be honest... you have no idea how much easier the lives of all of those I work with would be if we could simply have the ability to use powershell remoting to manage remote servers, but nooooooo. That's apparently too much to ask for.

As for going back to school... if you want my honest opinion, save yourself the time and money. Instead of breaking your back for a little piece of paper, dedicate your effort to the job you have and prove yourself there.

Congratulations on the promotion; I can't say I have any such bragging rights, but I'm simple (minded) and am perfectly content being on the bottom rung of the ladder. The way I see it, the less money you make, the more likely you are to be kept when it comes time to fire people.

Congrats on the year job. I am doing well at mine, I recently got promoted to Systems Administrator. I'm busy as can be.

I got a new(er) car abut two months ago. I am going to pick up my new glasses on my lunch break. Other than that, nothing too new has happened. I went back to school, now working towards to my Bachelors.

It goes decently. Looks like it's been over a year since we last spoke. Oh, how the times change. I have a job now, and will have been there exactly one year tomorrow. I got my college loan paid off and got a new computer, and still have a bit of money left over. How are things on your end?

I live 3 miles west of Oak Park Mall. The reason I was asking about being a Brony is that I have plans to meet up with one possibly two and I was gonna see if you wanna join.

Hell if we both live so close to the mall let's meet up there again.

'course I still live in Kansas City. My soul is bound here. Where would you want to meet at?

Client Support, huh? My mom and aunt think I would do an incredible job with that (I once helped my aunt find a word processor on her computer and she thought it was the greatest thing ever), and I agree with them, with a caveat--while I'm good at explaining things in terms so easy to understand that little kids can know what I'm talking about, I have a bit of a phobia of speaking over the phone, but I could probably get over that in time.

Wanna meet up for lunch or to hang out some time? (that is if you still live in KC)

Don't feel bad. It took me a while to get the job. It took me two months and at least 50 applications. Just go to Monster and submit to everything that is remotly close to what you went to school for. That's what I did. I went to college for Enterprise Admin. I work as client support (aka I forgot my password, or how do you attach photos?). -_-; *

Hi Buoy. You've got a job now. Wow. That... really helps my self-esteem. I've been out of college for almost a year and I don't have a job. I want one, but I'm just so awkward and lack confidence and ugh... it bites. It's good you've got one, though. I'd feel lucky getting just about anything at this point, really. v-v

It has been far too long, I keep forgetting about the websites I use to frequent because I have been so busy. I am finally out of school now though. I have a job and I work less hours than I use to. So much free time I must figure out what to do with. Oh, and I live in Kansas City now.

So how are you hows it going? Hows it been? we need to catch up. I'll try and get back to this site soon.

Time does fly, I can graduate in September with a Diploma from Brown Mackie, or I will graduate with an Associates in May. If I graduate in September, I can start a 4 year college this winter, other wise it will be next fall before I get the change to start college again.

Its a convertible, the top will have to be replaced, one of the side mirrors is busted, the windshield is a loss, the hood is not dented, but the paint is chipped from the hail, there are several dents on all four corners of the car. as well as some of the trim is dented.
Some of the dents are deep narrow dents, the dents easily pulled out are ones that are more bowl shaped. We might be able to pull a couple out, but not most of them.

128 MegaBytes, not Megabits, there is a difference, and Google's speed is 1Gigabit which translates into 128 MegaBytes / per second.

    I get 6Mb down which means 700KB/s >.> I wish I lived in a bigger city.

I already get 54Mbps. It serves me well enough. However, having 128 would ease the load on the network as a whole and prevent my internet from dropping from time to time. I guess that'd be useful.

I envy your female Dewott. My Oshawott is a male, but all things considered and how difficult it would be to fight both rivals over and over until I got a female with a decent nature, I just stuck with my bashful male. C'est la vie.

    Oshawott. I'm nihilistic like that

Sometimes I refer to him as "Oshie" or, more frequently, "Wottie"
However, my brother (though he didn't TECHNICALLY nickname them) calls his Pignite "Porkloinio", his Patrat "Fat Faec", his Pansage "Mojo Jojo", and his Roggenrola "Dented Blueberry".

  60. A'bom
    March 9, 2011 09:19:13 AM
    A'bom
Nope. He's a level 23 Oshawott. They don't stay in their little cute forms long enough for me, so I keep them from evolving until around level 30 or 40. None of my pokemon have evolved yet, and I'm standing at the entrance to Nimbasa City.

In other news, my brother's level-17 roggenrola single-handedly defeated Lenora. It was FREAKISHLY epic.

Cyndaquil's nose is too long (though it's still cute). Typhlosion is way too bulky for my liking. The body is too wide, looks kinda hunch-backed, and the limbs are stubby. Quilava is a perfect balance between the two. That's not to say I dislike typhlosion; it's a pretty good special sweeper.

Oh, wow... Sorry, Bui. No can do. That's beyond my scope right now. I'm still getting the hang of simple re-colors! I'll get to that some day, but not for a little while yet!

Okay forget what I said about the colors before hand, I bumped a button in paint.net and changed the colors back to Black and white and it look really good, so here is my idea. a grey (a darker shade would be better than the one I have in the example) fading to white as the background color, then you could also put something ontop of that image (as shown by the scryble) and finally you have the tables with a simi transparnet image (click to downlaod the one I made for this) with white text... Would make a greate BW theme for Gen V add a nice custom banner and wala: BW theme.... so?

Background blue or light blue, text white, and tables use an image that is black that is about 20% see through... I can't think of the excat word but I can show you in a few minutes.

Sure! Ultimately, it will depend on if Cat likes it. I'm glad to do it anyway, though! I can use the practice.

About a week. It's pretty simple right now; I hope to make them a little more complex as I get better at it.
