Yeah, I pretty much used my 80 GB iPod every minute of every day. XD

That picture reminds me of the black 80 GB iPod Video I used to own. Unfortunately, I no longer have it, because its hard drive failed in 2009, but nevertheless, it was a great starter for me. Back then, before I got my PS2, the iPod was my main method of transferring digital video to VHS without burning DVD's.

I still have a 20 GB 3rd generation iPod that I use as an external hard drive via FireWire (aka IEEE 1394). Battery life sucks like crazy, the headphone jack is a bit crackly, and I can only get sound out of the left speaker while it's docked, but I don't use it to listen to music anymore, so those shortcomings don't really concern me.

If it were a Mac, it'd have to be a high-end MacBook Pro with a DVD burner. PC-wise, I'd like to get an Alienware laptop, also with a DVD burner. Even with Blu-Ray being the de facto standard in digital video storage, I still burn DVDs because I can play them on almost all of my devices at home, including the iBook G3, PlayStation 2, and my existing MacBook.

On a totally different tangent, I was at my local music store to price replacement parts for electric guitars, and... for the first time in all my life, I played around on an old Fender Rhodes electric piano at the music store. It... was... awesome. Makes me wish I had $1,200 so I could buy it, but it was a nice experience nonetheless. Next up on my list of keyboards to check out before I die, is a toss-up between the Yamaha DX7 and the Roland D-50.

Toshiba isn't the only company who's used weird model numbering. It's like Yamaha DX synth line back in the 1980's: The DX1 had 64-voice polyphony and was the easiest Yamaha FM synth to program, and as they progressed further in the line (DX5, DX7, DX9, etc.) the synths got harder to program and had fewer voices to work with, making them sound thinner than the DX1.

I'm using it right now, and it is indeed a lot faster than Firefox. And oddly enough, it's causing Minecraft to load faster...well, faster going through the Mojang screen anyways.

Seeing how I was impressed with how Second Life ran on my brother's Acer Aspire, I'm probably gonna get the same thing he's got. Unfortunately, I can't remember what model number his computer is, but when he comes down from Michigan for Christmas, I can get the model number then.

As for my MacBook, it's gonna be down for some cleaning, as I suspect that some of the lag has to do with a fan that I haven't cleaned in 9 months. Plus, while I'm under the hood, I might as well decontaminate the CD burner's lens, since it refuses to read from/write to discs.

Speaking of buying new laptops, I really should start saving up for the Acer Aspire that I want. Basically, I'd like a laptop that has both an integrated and separate GPU, and is a thousandfold better than my MacBook, all at a relatively low cost.
