Anyway, well, what do you think of Firefox? :3 I guess a lot of things change with time. (What made you switch from Firefox in the first place?)

Note to self: if you value your patience, try to rely on digital distribution if you play on a 3DS. Even the average SD card is going to be faster than 3DS game cards in general, especially when it comes to saving things.

    4MB/s minimum is sure nice...

Saints Row: The Third is possibly the craziest game I've played in my life

It's like it knows it's a game and...

It's probably one of these things that make you want to play more and more, to see what's the next silly thing they can come up with.

A bit sad that THQ is no more. Now, as for the developer...

By the way, I believe that the Core 2 Duo is probably still adequate for most tasks in 2013, including not-too-hardcore gaming

It's more of the OS choice that's the issue, really. It's probably more of the fact that Windows XP is aging at this point.

So what do you think of SkyDrive?

I like that a lot more than Dropbox for some reason. Then again, 25 GB is very, very nice. It also has a native app for my phone, unlike Dropbox.

It's amazing how old iPods can, and will still work today.

I'm going to name it "Phoenix".

It's also funny how early iPods allowed use as mass storage.
Gotta love how the manual uses a generic 4:3 laptop for "computer" with these old iPods. (It's a widescreen one with the iPod classic.)

Interesting. So the P840 has more features than the P845, including a GeForce GPU in addition to HD 4000, 2MP camera, and a fingerprint reader, and screen brightness rivalling a MacBook Air, of all things? Crazy Toshiba numbering.

On a new Windows laptop with Synaptics clickpads:

Click or tap anywhere on the pad to left-click
    Corner-click or two-finger-click to right-click
    Three-finger-click to middle-click
Pinch together two fingers to zoom out or CTRL-Wheel Down-equivalent
Spread apart two fingers to zoom in or CTRL-Wheel UP-equivalent
Drag with one finger at right or bottom edge to scroll vertically or horizontally
Drag with two fingers anywhere to scroll following finger direction (best. thing. ever.)
Place a finger somewhere, another finger somewhere not too close, and move the other finger clockwise or anticlockwise relative to the first finger to rotate items
Flick left with three fingers to go back a page
Flick right with three fingers to go forward a page
Flick up with four fingers to display all running applications
Flick down with four fingers to show the desktop

    Modern laptop pads are awesome.

Well, you know what? Switchable graphics are one thing, but stuff that is on-demand and without display flicker? That's... awesome. Best of all, the colour management is all handled by Intel, so the display doesn't have a problem with the cursor. (NVIDIA cursor acceleration = uncalibrated pointers._

If anything, it should be relatively easy to get a laptop with some form of dedicated graphics without making your wallet cry. These days, if you know where to look, you should be able to get at least a Radeon HD 7550M or GeForce 630M. If the dedicated solution is lower than these, don't bother to play games.

Second Life isn't all impressive when the same laptop chokes on Minecraft. It demonstrates Intel driver inefficiency. (An AMD card from years ago that is theoretically weaker than the Intel HD Graphics will outperform it in most OpenGL-based games, assuming that it can run it)

Gah. After all the maths add up, the M840 seems like a... well, you know... a turd.

Hey, this P840 is still faster than the MBA by a long shot. Dedicated graphics go a long way, huh?

What's the Aspire that you're looking forward into? Most laptops these days that come with NVIDIA dedicated graphics also keeps the integrated graphics, in part due to modern design - integrated graphics on CPU = cutting it out actually costs more.

    Owl City.

So I am almost ready to buy my next laptop because an MBA just didn't cut it.

Now, there seems to be a warranty problem with M840 which is holding off the purchase for now. Seems like my choices are: wait for a while (possibly up to one week), save some cash but give up international warranty (I'm buying computers out of country for a reason), or impulse buy the P840, which might be a bad idea considering my use case. Headphones, anyone? But sometimes I'm lazy...

Just keep in mind of the kind of feeling that you're aiming for. Sampled instruments, especially shorter/lower-quality samples, may not lend well to harder music.

Also, if you can set it, try fiddling with reverb and interpolation.

Hmm, so about the SGH-T239, there's no way to get any media in there, huh?

Then again a 2012 and a 2009 device in the same class is going to be way different, anyway. I think my 110 is probably faster than a DSi.

Then again, you're talking about something that plays MPEG-4 and H.264... On that 160x128 screen, at least videos look accurate, if very low-res.
