My old Pentium II had the ability to pump out 720p video as long as it was in a low-compression codec. It could do H.264 at about 480p as long as it wasn't too high of complexity.

Windows Media Player has a surprisingly good equalizer, and it's been like that for a long time (about 12 years, I think).

I'm surprised at some of the stuff they have installed on the lab computers. I once got bugged to fix something on the server while my laptop wasn't working. Seems they have an SSH client on them.

Kinda surprised IE is updated, yet Firefox is not. I'll have to see what our labs have at school in a couple months.

JavaScript can be a bit picky at times, though. Be sure to test in all browsers, including some older ones.

You should see how big my game files are. The better the source quality, the better the destination bitrate. Including audio on these bitrates, VHS and low-action games in 480i go in at 1.7 mbps (~800 MB/hr), normal games in 480i go in at 2.2 mbps (~1 GB/hr), 480p or high-action 480i games go in at 2.4 mbps (~1.2 GB/hr), 720p goes in at 6 mbps (~2.7 GB/hr), 1080i goes in at 7 mbps (~3 GB/hr).

Yeah, I bet Apple just eats up those profits from the proprietary cables. Imagine if the cable had a chip or something in it like certain other companies like to do.

I miss the simple days of Windows 98 and 2000, but those OSes just won't work in a modern setting.

I tend to like simple colors. Dark shades of red, blue, brown and green, or light shades of cyan and tan. I'm not too keen on outstanding colors for my own hardware.
