Yeah, I was right. KYA seems to be having a bit of "fun" with the domain stuff right now.

In reply to the comment you left on my Rickroll picture, it is unlocked by doing poorly on a hole and hoping it randomly plays. I believe you need to be at least one over par (bogey). Well, interestingly, there are there factors to the low quality. First, it was captured on VHS, recorded in SLP mode. Second, the capture card I used still need to have its settings worked on. Third, I actually captured the screenshot out of a significantly compressed copy of the video file.

My university has a "slow" connection of about 800 kbps, which is slow compared to other college campuses that sometimes get upwards of 100 Mbps.

    Cat333Pokémon
Yeah, that's the feature I'm referring to. Opera is really good, but also really bad at the same time. It's so dang bloated with stuff I wish was disabled by default. Every time I install it, I have to go through the options for about an hour trying to make sure I have everything configured correctly. *looks at File > Import and Export* That really could use an "Export Settings" option.
  25. Cat333Pokémon
    January 7, 2012 07:19:38 AM
    Cat333Pokémon
I personally really like what Opera does with the New Tabs page. You can put as many pages as you want on there (within reason ) to keep certain important--even if not frequent--pages within reach, like a school gradebook or emergency directory, for example.

  27. Cat333Pokémon
    January 7, 2012 06:20:11 AM
    Cat333Pokémon
I haven't really tried much testing of surround sound on 2-speaker implementations. I have tried it with a stereo receiver decoding the surround sound effects. It actually sounds really good.
  28. Cat333Pokémon
    January 7, 2012 06:08:48 AM
    Cat333Pokémon
Hm, yeah. When using headphones is a bit different. I tend to put games on stereo for that. The effects can mess with your head.
  29. Cat333Pokémon
    January 7, 2012 05:56:42 AM
    Cat333Pokémon
Music: Stereo all the way. Surround sound completely ruins the sound quality, as most songs are not designed for virtual quadraphonics.

3DS and DS games: Surround sound if available. Unlike the aforementioned music, the games' sound is almost always optimized if this option is available, leading to amazing quadraphonic effects and virtual surround sound. If surround sound is not available, I'll stick with whatever is, which is almost always stereo (although, for some reason, the Pokémon games from Yellow through Black/White have all had mono as an option).

VC: Whatever the games have. Most of these are either stereo (GBA) or mono (NES), so that's what I use. I own no 3D Classics.
  30. Cat333Pokémon

Given that IE10 is pretty close to being standards-compliant, conditional comments should only be necessary for older versions. People don't really use the "gt" (greater than) part that much, so it wouldn't be necessary.

    Cat333Pokémon
Yeah, that's the thing I'm referring to. Firefox needs to have one too, because I know the oekaki looks really weird in an older version (2.0, I think).

Well, then again, there's always the user-agent string.

    Cat333Pokémon
Oddly, I haven't had many problems getting something to work in IE8/9, except rounded corners in 8. I always try to use the simplest solution. Heck, the adopts work all the way back to IE5.5 (but the fonts are too large and I have been lazy to include the <center> tag under that <!-- IF IE LT6 --> or whatever the comment is).

Correct, I had no games until the Ambassador games came out, and then Rumble Blast.

Metro is IE10, right? I could've sword I tested VR on it. I know that IE10 is one of the top supporting browsers of JavaScript: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECMAScr...formance_tests (Opera used to be the worst before they cracked down on it to jump ahead of IE.)
Maybe Microsoft has made Metro a bit more picky about bad JavaScript, like Firefox (which was for the longest time incompatible with one of my pages)?
