[You start the game in a room.]

[You go down stairs like it is any other day and you're approached by you mother]

Mom: "Hey Zane! Are you ready to go to Professor Oak's lab? If you don't remember where it is, just go up the main road and take a right. Be safe!" 

[Mom then walks to the kitchen sink and continues with what she was doing. You walk about side.]

[Zane arrive at the end of the road and there is a man at the edge of it. He begins to walk towards the tall grass and the man comes to confront him.]

???: "Hey Kid! If you want to go through here you need a Pokemon!" --- "Oh that is what you were doing, huh? Well Let me escort you to the Lab. This patch of land could be dangerous if you don't have any Pokemon to help you."

[He walks you through the grass and takes Zane to the door lab.]

???: "This is the Lab. I hope you get a good Pokemon so you can get out of this grass."

[The screen flashes black and the man is gone.]

[Zane enters the Lab. There is a man in a white coat at the end of the room looking at some document. Zane approaches this man and talks to him]

Professor Oak: "Ah! You are Zane, right? Hello! I am Professor Gary Oak. I am one of the few professors in this region. I study the way Pokemon and their trainers battle together. You are here for you first pokemon, correct? Well that's cool because I just got a few new starter Pokemon. You may have a look at them if you would like!"

[Zane walks over to a table with three PokeBalls on it. They contain Turtwig, Piplup, and Chimchar. He picks Chimchar.]

Professor Oak: "That is a good choice for a trainer with who wants to battle. Here, I will also give you this..." [Oak walks over before to what he was looking at and comes back to Zane] "Here is a PokeDex for you. You can you it to record and store data about Pokemon you catch and encounter. You should also take these..."

[Zane received  5 PokeBalls from Professor Oak]

[??? rushes in the Lab.]

???: "Professor! I am sorry, I was late. Do I still get to pick a Pokemon today, like planned?" 

Professor: "Yes, Kara, but Zane has already picked one so you are left with two." 

[Kara walks over to the PokeBalls and chooses Piplup.]

Kara: "I am glad I wasn't too late" [Kara turns to Zane] "Hey since you have a Pokemon too, lets battle."

Professor: "Actually,lets take this outside! I have ground for Pokemon Battles and I can teach you both how to battle. Sounds cool?"

[He walks them to the fighting-grounds. Kara and Zane start a normal fight and Oak insert tips while they fight.]

[Zane will automatically win, with a critical hit]

Kara: "Gee, you're a strong trainer. I will get stronger and have more pokemon next time we batter!"

[Kara runs off]

Professor: "Awesome job, Zane. I can tell you will be an adept battler someday. You can get there."

[Professor walks back into his lab and leaves you to be free]

[Zane is forced to walk in the direction of his house to go anywhere. His mother is in front of it. When she is in his sight she approaches him]

Mom: "So how did it go?" ... "Good! Your Pokemon must be tired, let me heal them." [Pokemon are healed] "Do you remember the vacant house North of ours? It is now occupied and I think you should help the new residents out!" 

[Zane walks toward the place and there is a moving truck to the right of it. ]

[He walks into the house and there is an old couple there. Zane talks to them.]

Man: "Hello, young one. Your here to help us? How nice of you. Get that box from the truck and bring it in, would you?"

[He goes back outside and to the truck and carried a box back into the house.]

Man: "Thanks young man. Mind I tell you a story?" [The old man tells a story about how he is Blaine from the Kanto region and tells Zane his story.]

[After telling Zane the story he give him running shoes.]

[You are now free to travel the next route]

[Zane first walks onto Route 1] 

[When he gets 4 tiles past the trees Professor Oak comes from behind]

Professor: "Hello Zane, I forgot something: I need to show you how to use the PokeBalls I  gave you!"

[Professor leads Zane into the tall grass]

[A wild Sentret appears. Professor Oak shows him the basic way to catch Pokemon using his Chimchar]

Professor: "Sorry, for forgetting before. Now that you know, you can catch new Pokemon and go even further in your journey. Good luck."

[Zane can now proceed through the route]



Route Trainers: The one in the box will fight other trainers. He has a Pidgey and a Wurmple. 

The other trainers give you very basic information about wild pokemon and battling.

Route Pokemon: Pidgey, Sentret, Meowth, Sewaddle, Weedle, Caterpie, Rattata
