Interesting Nether-related updates coming [0.5.0 Pocket Edition]

With 0.5.0 scheduled to be submitted for review this week, I decided to take a look at some of the new features being implemented. Two of them have made me really curious.
  • An "alternative nether"
  • The Nether Reactor

What are your thoughts about these two features? Technically the alternative nether is "an alternative to the nether" so it could be something like the Aether. As for the reactor, some say it's a way to make a new item out of two old ones, some say it's a glorified mob spawner.

Thoughts?

Both sound rather interesting. Maybe the alternative nether could be a nether that's easier to navigate. I've seen a couple people play MC Mobile and the controls don't seem to be the easiest thing to manage, especially with only 3 items in your hotbar. Enough for a pick, a sword, and a bow or food.

As for the nether reactor, I have absolutely no idea on what it could be.

Personally I play Minecraft pocket edition. I have seen lets play videos of minecraft and I would personally like to see PE become more like the desktop. Yes the controls are a lil hard to use but they updated the amount of tools available. I har been wanting a Neather for a while now, I wanna see what the hype is all about. Know what I'm saying? It looks like a fun and crazy place and building in it seems difficult but awesome. Honestly, they amount of work going into this is a lot. I can't wait to try it.

Buckets, Bukets, Buckets, Buckets, where are they?

I never realised how much I want buckets, because I took them for granted ;-;

An item used to transport liquids to anywhere you want. Good for farms, and water elevators, and incinerators, and cobble generators. ^_^

I guess I should update this.

"When the Nether Reactor is built and the core activated, it generates a room of obsidian (7x17x17)with some openings, around the reactor called a "Nether Spire" (Unofficial name) The reactor itself will turn into a new block called Glowing Obsidian resembling netherrack, and it will start spawning various items and blocks, such as gold, melon seeds, paintings, glowstone dust, doors, mushrooms, bones, cacti, arrows, feathers, bowls, sugar cane etc, as well as Zombie Pigmen. The Zombie Pigman texture is different however."

I think this update was pretty interesting. It takes a while to gather the supplies but once you do you can reuse about half of them. The nether tower is kind of an eyesore and takes up a lot of valuable land. Hopefully this can be refined next update.

Sounds interesting. I think i have the latest update. Can't remember what number it is but its got buckets, lava(in bucket), water(in bucket), cake, milk and chicken, cow, pig and sheep spawners. It would be awesome to have a Nether are Aether hope the next update could let you mad MCPE.
