As the lush, rolling hills refuse to be seen,
To be engulfed by the greedy fire

Thy envious eyes do not seek a partner,
Ye be blind to God's charity and cause,
Yet, like a nomad, you travel farther,
Searching what you seek - with no rest, and no pause

Ideals are denied with living links lost,
What remains are truth's pitiful ashes,
Claimed and captured - trapped in hell's thick smog,
The common good suffocates in passing
