Quick question about Smash Bros. 3DS replays.
Does anyone know where on the SD card they get stored? I know they're there somewhere, but I haven't been able to find them . . .
|
I cannot answer that, but I think I know why you're asking: is it because they don't work with the new update?
|
Yes, and no. I'm wanted to be able to record a bunch of battles from my friends, but I can't get farther than "somewhere in one of the many hexidecimal folders on the SD card." In fact, I'm getting the feeling they're spread over multiple files, because I'm seeing more than one "Date Modified" update every time I play and save a single match . . .
Dang it, Nintendo, why can't you just let us share them over the Internet like with Pokémon battles? That would make so many things so much easier. |
That's kind of my complaint about both the Wii and 3DS (and maybe the Wii U; I haven't backed up any saves to a USB device yet): it's hard to tell which save file is which when they're all in hexadecimal, mostly when attempting to back up game saves to a computer and give them a proper English name.

You guys are silly. The smash bros replays aren't videos. It's stored data of all of the buttons pressed and circle pad movements of both players. When a replay is selected, it just plays back the series of buttons and circle pad movements on a stage.

I know how that works, but all the same it has to go somewhere . . .
