Who Was the Worst Gym Leader For You?
 

Which of the 8 Gym Leaders (no E4) was the most difficult for you to defeat? My biggest challenge was Maylene. Stupid Lucario....

It's gotta be the last gym. The electric gym was terrible! I had an :395: (Empoleon) so of course I was in hugh trouble.

Gen II Whitney
Gen III Wattson (If I chose treeko) Tate and Liz
Gen IV Fantina or Maylyne I can't make up my mind

Derp. None of em. Weeelll actually.....Roark (Is that how you spell it?) I started with Chimchar. ;~; His Cranidos can tear through pretty much anything low leveled.

Gen 1: Misty, usually. Sometimes Koga.
Gen 2: Clair. Everyone else in Johto is WEAK
Gen 3: Tate and Liz, but only in Emerald. They're much harder in emerald.
Gen 4: Maylene. Easily.

Gen 1: I usually had the most trouble with Misty, as I would always have to train a good two hours before facing her. She was a little easier in FRLG, though.
Gen 2: They were all rather easy, but Pryce was a bit harder than the rest.
Gen 3: In Emerald, Juan. His Kingdra always was hard after it used double team a couple million times. I only played Ruby once, and so I can't really remember with it.
Gen 4: Previously, I had the most trouble with Roark. More recently, they were all a walk in the park (I think because I choose a better team).

Gen 1-Usually....no one.
Gen 2-Definetly Whitney.
Gen 3-Tate & Liza.
Gen 4-Hmmm, Gardenia with turtwig, very hard.

I did a Shuckle only run, and that Eterna gym was ridiculously hard, so....

Gardenia! I chose Turtwig for both Diamond and Platinum, and I had nothing I could beat her with both times. -.-

Gen 1: DEFENITALY KOGA.Evasion newb. Gen 2: Gawd, I hated Jasmine. I also hate being underleveled. Gen 3: Yet to play. Gen 4: (this was platinum).... CRASH! CRASH! Crasher wake! [insertthemesonghere] Gyarados and floatzel were epicsaus.

In HG I had no troubles with anyone and my team EASILY zipped through all of the gyms, aww.. except Chuck he was a little hard. My Luxray saved me, it was my only one left versing Poliwrath.

Gen 1: Koga. He is VERY overleveled and he poisons you and kills you while you heal it. And he's an evasion noob.
Gen 2: Whitney. We all know why. Clair's pretty tough, but Whitney is really hard.
Gen 3: I don't like R/S, but I guess I have to say Brawly. His Makuhita is pretty tough. RS is really easy though

Gen4: Hmm... Don't know. It was pretty easy. Probably Maylene because I was kinda under-leveled.

Gen 1: Koga no doubt.
Gen 2: Clair. My favorite but the hardest.
Gen 3: The two little twins that have the flying types. Forget their names.
Gen 4: So...annoying........FANTINA!

Gen I-Misty.
Gen II-Clair.
Gen III-Wattson(Tate & Liza in Emerald).
Gen IV-Roark(because I started with Chimchar).

Wake. The only leader I lost to.

Gen 1- Brock (I chose Charmander as starter)
Gen 2- Whitney (Stupid Milk Drinking Miltank)
Gen 3- Winona (I chose Torchic as starter)
Gen 4- Wake (I don't know why but he was hard)

There all Easy for me, Exepct Brock When i WAS small I had Trouble with cause i love Charmander back then.

I actually found D/P/Pt ridiculously easy. I didn't have trouble with anyone.

Lt.Surge..thats all I have to say.

In Diamond, I did the whole "My starter is the only thing I'll ever train!" thing, and seeing as Piplup was my choice, Crasher Wake and Volkner were major pains. I actually had to train up a Luxray just for Wake, and I remember Volkner's Luxray giving me trouble.

I got smart in Platinum and raised a diverse team, so no major troubles here... except for Fantina, a little. Tried to let my Eevee and its newly-learned "Bite" have a go. That lasted about 5 seconds before it got KO'd.

Hmmm...I didn't have much trouble with the gyms...I was just that awesome with my well balanced team.
I had the real trouble with Flint. He wouldn't stop burning my incredibly slow Torterra. :( Then he Solarbeamed my Quagsire with an OHKO. It went all downhill from there.

Gen 1: Sabrina, Psychic was OP in RBY.
Gen 2: Whitney. Stupid Attract. My Pokemon do not understand the concept of bros before gardening tools.
Gen 3: If I pick anyone other than Mudkip, Wattson is the spawn of satan.
Gen 4: Maylene. Seriously, overpowered Lucario is overpowered.

Mine has to be Candice... Her Froslass always destroyed my Torterra xD

Yeah the only reason why he was tough was because I alway sliekd to choose charmander and i was too lazy to train a butterfree for jsut that one gym battle.

Gen2: Whitney
Cause of her stupid attract and uber defense miltank.

Gen3: Flannery
If i chose any other starter then mudkip then I would always have trouble with her torkoal.

Gen4: None

Tough Gym Leader? Only one, in any series. Brock.
He's the ONLY gym leader I have ever had trouble with, seeing as I'm obviously too pro for my tunic. /eyeroll

That being said I often had trouble with Brock due to wanting to pick Charmander. Even though Bulbasaur was obviously the proskillz choice

I never have had trouble with any games Gym leader because when I start a game I only use my starter which is stupidly overleveled, like in soulsilver my Feraligatr was lvl89 the first time i ever beat the elite four but then after i make my team.

the most difficult gym leader 4 me was Fantina

Gen 2: I have no clue, I've never played a Gen 2 game. Phail, isn't it?

Lol! I never had problems with gym leaders.

The one I found most annoying was Wallace, only because of his gym's layout. Stupid puzzles. I JUST WANNA SLAP YOU ACROSS THE FACE WITH MY POKÉBALLS AND GET IT OVER WITH

Strange. I always thought his gym puzzle is cool and awesome.

By far the hardest gym leader for me was Liza & Tate. They were murder.

Gen I - Misty or Sabrina - Too close to call for me
Gen II - Whitney - I always lose on the first try
Gen III - Wallace - Got Replaced by Juan... He became Champ, later chump.
Gen IV - Maylene in Diamond and Pearl, Fantina in Platinum

also I start fire types for Gens I, III, IV; I roll a die when it comes to Johto those starters are hard to choose between (mostly because I like 'em)

Gen II: Whitney's EVIL miltank.

Pt: Mayline. I would have never beaten her without a Rotom.
SS: Clair. I had to do a lot of training in the Ice Cave. Though Whitney is tough, because of her Miltank of Uber Doom.

Gen II - Jasmine ((I have never had problems with Whitney. Am I alone?))

Gen 4 - ...No one comes to mind, actually.

Gen 4: The Fighting-type one, probably because I had just picked up a level 40 Lucario with a useless moveset from the GTS.

Alright, here we go with the gym leaders with most difficulty:

Gen 1: Honestly...not too many of them were that difficult, but Sabrina and Koga were annoying in my original run and my FireRed/LeafGreen runs. Although, Misty was annoying, even with Bulbasaur as my starter.
Gen 2: Whitney (in my original run), Clair (in my HeartGold run)
Gen 3: Wattson in my first playthrough (where I didn't choose Mudkip), Wallace/Juan in the cases where I chose Mudkip or Torchic
Gen 4: Fantina! Why does your Mismagius know Magical Leaf? It does not add up!

Mine was Crasher Wake. I had mostly fire types. That Gyarados is bad boy.

1. Koga (never finished, stopped at Silph Co.)
2. Blue (CRYSTAL), Morty (HEARTGOLD)
3. Flannery
4. None, they were all easy Maylene

Gen 1: Koga, Evasion Hog!!
Gen 2: Whitney, no doubt.
Gen 3: Brawly, Bulk Up Makuhita=pain
Gen 4: No one really.

RBY: Misty, I can't actually remember my fight with koga but I know that I didn't find it that hard. I think that the fight with misty is the reason why I dislike starmie despite its competative value.
GSC: Whitney, Miltank+rollout= use of inappropriate language. I once beat clair really easilyrs with my meganium but I could never say that I had a fight with Whitney that was easy.
RSE: Wattson(RS)Tate & Liza(E). Wattson was the hardest in sapphire, the rest were all jokes. Even wattson was easy with a magnitude using graveler. That xatu in Tate and Liza's gym battle was Destructive. It was the reason I had to reset so many times.
DPPT:Fantina, Haunter's shadow claw and Drifblim's bulk add up to pain for the enemy.

Norman. It took me several tries to beat him.

Not really anybody exept, maybe Misty if I started withe Charmander but thats pretty much it.

Crasher wake is so annoying. I hate water types

I hate Brawly, it has always been the hardest for me no matter what starter

Have to say candice on platinum, evasion spam with her Froslass caused me so many problems

Since I had Torterra, Candice was a pain...

Candace for me. I started with Torterra and it was hard for me to get a hit in.

I chose a shiny magikarp only run and it was impossible to beat gardenia... i beat her after 2 years. ( level 52 XD )

But in a normal game, So far my black's hardest gym leader was the normal type. Her watchog's retalite was bad enough alone, but sense she used watchog AFTER her dog it was a pure terror. However, i've only beat 6 gyms so far, so it is subject to change.

I have to say the Skyla in Unova was the worst one for me.

My god Tate & Liz can just die...!

I hate two
1. Watson. worst eltric type gym leader everr. You could only win with marstomp
2.Wake
3.Lenora

Lenora was a royal ***** in B/W. Her Watchdog's Retaliate and Hypnosis haxed me to death many many times...

1. Clair- always had trouble with her Kingdra.
2. Whitney- her Miltank is evil and the first time I battled her, her Clefairy used metronome and got to use explosion.
3. Tate and Liza- they were made a lot tougher in Emerald.

When I was younger I used to have a bit of trouble with Whitney. Not so much anymore, though.

Gen 1 games: Lt. Surge.
Gen 2 games: Whitney
Gen 3 games: Flannery
Gen 4 games: Maylene
Gen 5 games: Elesa

Gen 3 Was Watson if you chose Grovile.
Mainly because 1. Fighting and ground worked well here
2. Aron would be the only help
3. The creators wern't thinking

The only gym leader that gave me trouble was Whitney in generation 2. The rest were cakewalk.

Yeah Whitney is SO hard to defeat. And I like cake

All other gym leaders were easy, except for Elesa from B/W. Mostly because of the Volt Change move that her whole team had, and my team that was only a Dewott, Pidove, and Pansear.

Oh god I have been playing Emerald for the first time ever and Wattson was the most difficult Gym Leader I have faced, even more annoying than Whitney. The fact that Shock Wave is so powerful against most Pokemon made things very annoying, and even Aron was of no use. As such, by the time I beat him, I had a very overleveled Combusken.

I remember that in Gen I, Sabrina was the hardest to deal with, knocking out my Venasaur which was the only one I had along with under-leveled Pokémon. Whitney, of course, holds the title as the hardest gym leader for Gen II, while the twins in Emerald were the toughest against my Blaziken, which again was the only one in my team. Fantina was the hardest in Gen IV and Elesa was in Gen V.

Misty if you picked charmander, you had to have a very high leveled pikachu or oddish to win.

Clair if you didnt have the right types on your team, Kingdra over kills you unless you status it.

And brock just sucks in the old games, hes better in the anime.

I've been playing my old Crystal cartidge off and on over the past few days...

And I remembered just how annoying Morty's Gengar is. ._. Hypnosis spam + Dream Eater = Raeg

It would be nice to start over on old yellow version if i knew where it was at, I need some pokemon from gen 1 for gen 2.

Misty was by far my worst. I used to charge in with my Charmeleon the first time I got into town and get a major whooping. By FR/LG it was no longer that big an issue. I had learnt my lessons.

You know i dont think i had any trouble against any gym leader in the games. I think i had the most problems when i got to any of the E4's as by the time my team hit around lv 45-50, the E4's pokemon where 10 levels higher. (Johto though is super easy as i had higher levels)

For me its Brock . i picked charmander and was unable to beat him untill i had charmeloen so many innocent caterpies had to die for my cause

Any Normal-Type Gym Leader.

Whitney because of her Miltank, even if I DID have some sort of Fighting-Type move, it was a pain to deal with.

Black/White, they were all easy, but I would have to say Iris.
