Hinorashi and TediousRamen

For your first lesson, we will practice the forms of shapes and living things by only using only two things. Circles and lines. I have an example below (ignore the hip circles) of what I'm expecting from you drawing these poses. I will give to you both individually in a "spoiler" tab. This lesson is to show That you can understand how each object's form is created when moved or at an angle. Since you both are using a digital program, I would perfer using a size 1 for your pen size for sketching. Also, to make it easier to see the circles and lines, use two individual colors for the circles and lines.

Ok, time to grade!

Karate Sketch-This I thought was great at a first glance until I actually looked it more and noticed the left arm's hand. In appearance, it looks as if it's showing the knuckle more than the palm of the fist. But overall, it's a very nice body sketch.
GRADE: A-

Cat Sketch- Very nicely done! I am especially proud about the circle joints that you've placed. I old like you to see though that since there is no ground, the appearance looks at if it's standing getting ready as if it was going to pounce on something. If you put the face lines to show were the face is looking, that would've probably made the viewer think more that the cat is laying down.
GRADE: A

Headset Sketch- This is a pretty simple sketch, but it's not that you did anything wrong. I'm glad that you didn't show too much depth in this sketch because it would be more detailing that sketching. Nicely done with about no problems.
GRADE: A+

OVERALL LESSON GRADE: A

Your next lesson will be up after I get 2 more lessons written up and when I have graded Hinorashi's sketches.

Alright; I've been told I have decent freelance drawing skills, but I never really learned the basics of illustration. (and once I get my hands on a tablet, I can finally get some Digital Art lessons.) Let's start from the bottom-up, shall we? I would like to take the Structures and basic Shapes class, Pichu-Sensei~

Cool. I'm hoping to get through the classes so I can teach as well.

The first is a bit tiny and her clothes are dark, so it's difficult to see. This is what it looks like her form is doing if I follow the position of her feet on the plane and line of action, though. I had to express the line of action and flexing form in order to determine her position along the plane. I hope this is not a problem.

As for the lamp, I tried giving it a twist ( and fitting it in the canvas ) by changing its perspective tilted upwards a little bit.

I've also kept my sketch lines a bit thicker as to give it a bit more freedom in its looseness for gesture drawing. I've also tried thinking of it in terms of shapes three dimensionally. I hope that's not a problem. If it is, I could clear it up.

Edit: I wish I could figure out this attachment stuff.

Ok before I grade, the instructions said to make the circles and lines 2 different colors so that it is easier to see your work. Then I will grade. ;)
