Diancie Officially Revealed; To Star in Upcoming Movie
 

Due to GTS leaks beforehand, we were already aware of the Gen VI event legends, Diancie, Hoopa, and Volcanion. The first of the three has been officially revealed in a recent release of the newest issue of CoroCoro magazine; Diancie.

To reiterate points that may or may not already be known: Diancie is a Rock/Fairy-type Pokémon. It is classified as the Jewel Pokémon and is Pokémon #719 in the Pokédex. The description next to Diancie's official Sugimori art reads: "In battle, it creates a bunch of diamonds from both of its hands to protect itself."

Diancie has also been revealed to star in the next Pokémon movie, which has subsequently been given the full title The Cocoon of Destruction and Diancie. This movie has already been confirmed to feature the Kalos legends Xerneas and Yveltal, along with a number of Mega Evolutions.

As of yet, there is no information revolving around Diancie's distribution.

I'm actually surprised how quickly they revealed it.

Im hoping when we get it in an event, it will be over wifi. Cause im tired to have to go to like a gamestop or something to get a pokemon. (Cause i never get to go to the store to get it)

Yeah this was a surprise to me even though I knew it was supposed to happen this month.

I know these were "discovered" ages ago along with their stats and all, but does anyone have any guesses to what this thing'll be worth competitively?

Well, I myself don't have any knowledge on its stats, all I can say is Dragons, Fire Types and ESPECIALLY Dragon/Fire and Dragon/Electric types beware!

All i know, it will be a good wall for my teams.

I hear its ability is Clear Body, if its true then it will be a defensive god! Well maybe....

I just hope whatever tier it is placed in, It's not Ubers. I love her design, and she would do great in my gemstone team.

Serebii uploaded more info on this thing. The thing im wondering is, is its Dex entry. It says "A Sudden Transformation of Carbink" You think Carbink evolves somehow? *Thinks of trying to use that Srange item from the hiker*

Its shiny form was also revealed. It's more pink and the bottom stone is darker.

I've always wondered if they'd ever dare have a legit evolution line for a legendary Pokémon (Phione notwithstanding).

Does anyone else wonder if they're finally going to do it, or perhaps Diance'll just be a standard non-legendary?

If that's the case, we already have Carbink and we already have the strange item . . . maybe we need a second event item to complete a puzzle or something?
