NismoZ's Spriting Contest!
 

This is like Fly Guy's contest, but different. Each week will be one round that I judge. It can be anything from a recolor to full-scratch.

RULES:

• No stealing. That's simple enough.
• You must not take a sprite you have already made. You must make one specifically for the contest.
• For everything other than scratch and pixel-overs, you must make it from existing sprites.

I'll start you off easy.
Recolors!
Simple. Recolor a sprite with another sprite's colors, multiple sprites' colors, or your own custom colors. You must use the existing shading from the sprite. All generations of sprites are allowed.

Oh yeah, I'll also enter each round, but I promise I'll be honest on which one is best and not just pick my own each time. So here's mine.

no i was gonna enter some eeveelution recolors. can i enter them if they are slightly physically altered?

Here Is my Sprite. It is a 1st Generation Yellow Charizard Recolored as a 4th Generation HGSS Charizard.

When will the rounds end at the end of the week?

It lasts a week as of Sunday (That means it ends August 1st). Then there will be another round that lasts a week.

I'd say it's a tie between Fubab's Bayleef colored as Mawile and my Raikou.

Round 2:
Splices!

You must know this one already or else you shouldn't be here. Any generations are allowed, although generations 3+ will be more likely to win. No limit to the number of Pokémon allowed in one sprite. You may enter multiple sprites.

I will enter myself later; I don't have time to do one right now.

This time, the contest is simply based on what sprite is best, and not really how well you do. Have better taste in pillow-shaded sprites, and you do better. Sprites from Generations 3 and 4 can be used. You must use only one Pokémon. Good luck!

This is my first try attempting one of these, but here we go, pillow-shaded Wobbuffet! I tried one where I PS'd the mouth, but it looked terrible, so I stuck to the original mouth.

Looks cool but I thought you weren't supposed to have a Black outline x3

The tutorial said that the outline had to be black, and I am an avid rule-follower so I did just that.

As an amateur spriter and with some tips given to me by the great citizens of Victory... Roadia.. I now state that I'm probably going to take place in some of these, if I know what the heck is going on.

No, it was broken before I edited it.
I tried testing if adding .jpg, etc. at the end of his IMG link would fix it, but it didn't, so I took it out then left it back to it's original state of still brokeness.

It looks good, but you may want to re-size it so it looks a bit more sprite-like.

Also, I kinda think we should only allow one submission per user, since if a user has a ton of custom sprites waiting in reserves, they can just whip out a lot and be at a clear advantage.

Scratch!

That's right, full scratch. Use nothing (except the colors, if you need to) from any existing sprite. Drawing and pixel-overing it is allowed.
