Pokémon Z Version?
 

With the 16th season of the Pokémon anime to be dubbed "Pokémon the Series: XYZ," it again brings up the question: when will the next Pokémon game of Gen VI come out, and will it be called Pokémon Z?

The release period between Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald was just under two years, and FireRed/LeafGreen were released during that time. It was two years between Diamond/Pearl and Platinum, but HeartGold/SoulSilver didn't come until after. It was a year and a half between Black/White and Black 2/White 2, but there was no remake that generation. If these periods are to be believed, Pokémon Z's announcement should be coming very soon, as it has been nearly two and a half years since the release of Pokémon X/Y, but we did get Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire in that time.

What do you folks think?

If they are going to announce it, this would be the best time to do it while it's Pokemon's 20th anniversary so awareness and interest would be high.

Maybe after the super bowl they'll say something?

Now would be the time to do it, especially with all of the Pokemon giveaways. Lots of potential publicity.

I personally have no idea what they're going to do next so I currently can't make any predictions.

My only hope is that they finally give Flygon a Mega Evolution.

Probably won't happen at this point since hey announced Pokemon Sun/Moon
