Hello, and welcome to my remix/original score thread. A few of you may already know I remix music with FL Studio, and a few of you may only know the fact I'm a furry. But that's not why I'm posting what I am posting here today. Here, I wanted to make it more obvious that I don't just remix music for my fan fictions to those who are most definitely unaware of who I am. Regardless, I am not out to seek a large crowd; my only aim is to please.

First things first. I'd like to say I got involved with remixes because I love music, mostly video game music but that doesn't go to say I don't listen to the everyday rock, techno, etc songs that people like Lynard Skynard and Dragonforce made.

Second off, a few of you probably know Sharkie. It thanks to him and Seiji J. Konokama here that I got into it as well. I look at them as inspiration for when I first began using FL Studio with midi's, soundfonts, and VST Plugins like FM7, Yamaha, Merlin, Gravis, etc. (Konokama, should you be reading this, I'm not doing this to compete like I did once before; don't be afraid of that happening anymore, ok? Because I hate feeling complacent and better than others when I'm not.)

Third off, I'm only going to post here when I feel like it and I'll take remix requests, but I can only handle so much with my busying, personal agendas. Don't keep asking if I deny your request, but I will more than likely say yes to the first time you make one. Again, I am not being complacent nor rude when I say this. I do have my own busy life to live after all.

And with that all done and said, let me post the first remix I wish to upload for today.

Alright, here's the first one. I was hoping for it to be Pokémon-related, but this will have to do. It sounds similar to the official remix from Capcom I will admit, but you should notice the similarities between my remix and the original Departure from Mega Man Zero 2 for the GBA/NDS. It doesn't have the extra notations Capcom threw into their remix, but it should be just as good, I hope?

Wow, that's nice. I like the chorus you've got in it, and the lead in the intro is pretty cool to. Might I ask what program you are using?

As I said above, I'm using FL Studio. I should clarify that I use 9 on my desktop tower, and sometimes when I'm on the go with my netbook I use FL Studio 10.

Metroid's an ok series for me. I played a few of the games, including the one that made it on the tops of some people's list for retro SNES games, Super Metroid (Metroid 3). Here's one of those tracks most people don't hear unless they've play Brawl, NES Metroid, or Metroid: Zero Mission. The track I decided to label as Old Norfair due to the fact there are two versions that I know of (not including the fact they've been remixed): the NES Metroid/Zero Mission/Brawl version, and then there's the Super Metroid/Metroid Prime version. This remix is specifically the Zero Mission version.

Here's a really good one, it's To The Future from Lufia II. Hardly touched the game but by far this is the best piece from the game. Seiji, this remix is for you, my friend.

I've recieved a few requests for remixes from Lucario Paws and Absol. So far I have been able to remix Gwyn, Lord Of Cinder. I will see if I can remix Absol's requests next. :3

I owe a sincerest apology, and I feel really bad that I couldn't remix your requests Absol. I wasn't lucky enough to find a midi for your tracks. :(

Maybe I could at least compensate you with another song? As an apology I have remixed Something Secret Steers Us from Half-Life 2. Should you want to make another request Absol then I will be glad to try to accept it. :3

Ah, it's nothin' Silver, but thanks! Just a few several soundfonts like Merlin Gold and Yamaha XG. Then I have a VST plugins, but the one I specifically use the most is called the FM7. The FM7 as Seiji Konokama informs me is a software version of the DX7 Yamaha Keyboard.

And speaking of Konokama I have yet another surprise for him yet in store, another song yet for him. I bet you'll be surprised to see a game you recently said you liked the music from in the "Whatcha Listening To?" Thread. So here's New Verix, a remix of New San from MegaRace. Gee, I must have gotten carried away remixing and other things again. Well then, so I can keep my own thread open I'm going to post up one from Sonic CD (JAP), Quartz Quadrant. (Not that I really have to worry about it being closed.)

Got a new synthesizer effect under my belt, and I'm glad to announce this next remix uses not only Yamaha and Merlin but also the ARP Odyssey VST Plugin (specifically in the music portion of the song, the sound effects no. Listen for that old school synth in there that sounds reminiscent of an old handheld or even the NES). I remixed this one before but it doesn't hurt to return to Regulous from Zero Wing does it?

I've finally put together a full remix album once again. Some of the video game songs I remixed recently as well as some old classic ones I've done before are in The Best Of Aura Force, proudly remixed by me. It would take forever to post them all here so I zipped them into an RAR archive to download at your leisure. A few good examples include "Route 118 & 120", "Route 10 At Midnight", "Esperanto - The World", "Temporal Tower", and "Rusty Ruin Act2". One of them however is an anime track, an instrumental version of Gravity from Wolf's Rain.

Alright, I'm continuing to remix even after creating that album. Arian Ice Cap's the next one on my list. It's a remix of Sonic 3 & Knuckles' Ice Cap Zone and the name of the file is a reference to a realm of mine I created, known as Arys. I hope you all like it.

Ah, I would have never seen this one coming, but I've finally remixed the theme for Digimon Season One. Why Digimon? Well, the tune's pretty catchy even for an old theme. Addicting rather to me once I turn it on. (And yes, I should probably stop posting that it's Aura Force on the link, we know that by now, don't we?) :)

One of my latest tracks and a new favorite song I remixed. I finally got to play an old game from 1992 known as Gley Lancer. It's a really cool shoot 'em up for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis that was released only in Japan. Now it's available as a title for Wii Virtual Console. This time I take an orchestral twist on things.

Then there's another one just for the lulz, Green Hill done as if it was from Chrono Trigger.

Nice job on your Chrono Trigger remix of Green Hill Zone! The snare sounds similar to the snare found in Sonic 1, funnily enough. xD

Aura Force is an old artist moniker of mine and it doesn't really fit me anymore... So I've dropped it. Instead when I remix music, my new moniker will be WulFeNaTuRe Skye. It fits better for me anyways because now I can say WulFeNaTuRe Skye Studios instead of Aura Force Studios. Sounds better, looks better (to me at least).

Now on to my first remix as WulFeNaTuRe Skye instead of Aura Force, Door Into Everlasting Summer. I remixed this before but my first version on Youtube is nothing in comparison to this version. Don't even bother looking it up, it's at least a year and a month old. Even though it had a nice start, it was kind of showing off. Here I'm going to take a more humble remixer's approach this time. So without further ado, here's Door Into Everlasting Summer, a remix of Door Into Summer from Knuckles Chaotix for the Sega 32x.

I got one for Twiggy. I know he hasn't made a request or the like in this thread or elsewhere but I will dare to say that I like Never Going To Give You Up. So here's above named song created by the so-well-known-Rick-Roll artist (which it deserves better respect than that to be a meme in my opinion [it truly is a much better song that people give it credit for]) Rick Astley.

Just because I shared my opinion and/or posted this electronic remix doesn't mean you should tell me you hate me because I tried to Rick-Roll a few folks. That's not why I posted it (Rick-rolling was not the intent [I have better jokes than that]), but you are entitled to your opinions. Either like or dislike the song, it's your choice; regardless, please refrain from leaving me truly and non-constructively negative feedback (it will only look bad on your part and not mine). Again, I feel I don't feel I need to be afraid of any like that to begin with as I find most people here mature, regardless of my decision to like Rick Astley's famous song.

Trivia: Never Gonna Give You Up is Robo's Theme in Chrono Trigger.

Here's yet another one I remixed before, but this time around I decided to take it a little further with Dialga's Rematch To The Finish, a remix of, of course, Dialga's Fight To The Finish.

And why not another Thunder Force IV track, an unused Omake 4.

Still more coming. Yet another classic from Pokémon G/S/C and HG/SS is Cianwood City, Combination from Knuckles Chaotix, and Rising Blue Lightning from Thunder Force V: Perfect System.

Not sure how many folks remember SWAT Kats, but if anyone does here... I have a real sweet treat for you all. The Season 2 theme remixed with Chrono Trigger, Genesis, Setzer SPC (A.K.A SNES soundfont), and Pokémon BW Soundfonts. It makes sense to sort of remix with these sounds (with the exclusion of the Pkmn BW font), because SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron aired back when the Genesis and SNES were the main, well known competing home consoles of the time.

Tonight I thought, what would Seiji Konokama like if I remixed it for him? Then Jazz Jackrabbit came to mind. I never played the game but I already like the song, A Cold Day In Heck; thus I decided to remix it. Seiji, here's yet another remix I dedicate to you.

I'd like to present a remix of Silver's theme from Sonic The Hedgehog 2006, Dreams Of An Absolution. Then there's Step 70's (the options menu of F-ZERO GX), also Marble Garden (I remixed a few months ago in January from Sonic 3 & Knuckles).

Hunting around for something to remix and (I guess) to cool me off after a whole day of being mad and stressed out over things, I found this midi of a song that really soothed me. Even with a pained and tired head this track, Song of the Wolf, did its job... At least for me anyways. Song of the Wolf is from a CD called "Wind Walker - Spiritual Music of the World" by Élan Michaels.

Now why didn't I think of this before? This is one of those "OMG It Was Popular" (and I think it still is) tracks known as Sandstorm by Darude. Now that I found a midi I was like, what the heck, I need to remix a track like this anyways. Besides, this is one of my favorite pieces of techno. I believe it's classified as techno.

Anyone like Okami? Because we all know "The Sun Rises" (PUN intended.) Pun aside, this is such an amazing theme for Amaterasu, the white wolf sun goddess of the game.

As usual I've got myself wrapped up in ordeals and other daily hobbies. But I have available both versions of the Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure/Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Adventure 2/Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. I have been playing those two games lately.

By the way, you can thank my sister for getting me into raising some Chao and remixing these tracks. ;3

Holy Zoroark I'm due for posting two more remixes in my thread! X3 So here ya go folks after all this time of waiting, some retro Game Boy Advance titles! Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue/White and Sonic Advance 3. :3

I've got a remix that is neither in a video game nor is it by a well known band for a change, Castle Of Despair And Distrust. It's not quite exactly my own original, but it is a remix of an original (composed years back by someone who posted themselves as Maxime Tondreau) called Castle of Despair.

Hmm, I'd say it's about time I remixed a track my sister's gotten me into by Daft Punk. Harder Better Faster Stronger, a synth-only WulFeNaTuRe Skye remix. Bon appetit for your ears, everyone. ;3

Yet again my sister reminds me of an omg-it's-a-retro-track favorite by ATC, Around The World. Plus also I have one of Un-Gravitify from Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. In my opinion it sounds so much better than the first Sonic Riders' main theme.

Today I present a remix of Reborn Mechanic. I wanted to stay as close as to the original sounds as I could while improving the BGM that plays in the Weapons Recycling Plant of Mega Man Zero 3 overall when I remixed it.

Ah, thanks a lot as always. I guess I picked out the right percussion this time around. Hopefully I did the same here messing around with two DirectX midi's, Flourish and Town remixed into "In A Flourishing Town" with just Mega Drive as the font.

I've always wondered what the purpose of the original songs was. I've never seen them used in anything. Regardless, this remix sounds decent.

I have no idea if someone's remixed with the midi I used already but I'd like to bring forth an electronica remix of Hidden Palace. It has elements from the Lava Reef portion of Sonic 3 & Knuckles entwined into it.

"The Crystal Escape"

Well, this is the first of your remixes I've listened to in full...so here goes. I like this mash-up of Hidden Palace and Lava Reef. I didn't even know the two songs went together, but the result is pretty cool-sounding. The middle segment wasn't that bad either. I found it bridged everything together rather nicely. The ending could've had a little improvement, but maybe it's just me.

Final Verdict: 8/10

Wow, no one's ever rated my mixes before that I can recall but it's great to know how I'm doing! And I think that you're right, the ending I could have tried to improve a little had I perhaps I made different sound choice or whatnot. I find your criticism most helpful, thanks Skyline! Here's why I say it's most helpful. I've been working on a personal remix project for Sonic CD, mixing both US and JAP/EUR tracks. Here's the video below.

Now that my remixing project I made a statement about is complete I would like to share a remix I made publicly available on Youtube recently; it is of Metallic Madness G-Mix [JAP/EUR]. Don't mind the fourteen(14) second intro of course, unless you like it, and enjoy the slideshow that accompanies the music.




"Today's a happy Sunday! This is a great album with some famous songs that always takes me back to wonderful memories of my best friend!" And because it is Sunday I also thought I would just put this one out there like Heart Gold and Soul Silver would do today with DJ Ben's Pokémon Music on the Pokégear's Radio. It's not really a remix but rather an attempt to make Goldenrod City sound almost like it did on the GameBoy Color with CheapChip for the leads and GBFont for the drums. The same with Buena's Password from Crystal Version was done.

I felt the world I designed (Arys) needed an anthem thus I borrowed one from RPGMaker and out came good results, the Arian International Anthem. When I say design I don't mean in RPGMaker though, it's all in my head and I forget sadly where I placed the maps I drew in some paint programs. Nonetheless here is the anthem.

A friend made a random request and I decided to accept trying Dr. Who in a Mega Driven format. Here are the results.

I've been posting most of my remixes elsewhere that I almost forgot in the business of my daily life (which may be less busy than I think) to post up another remix and say hello to you folks. So here I'll pay my dues by posting yet two more awesome mixes (one on Youtube and one on my Dropbox.)

I haven't been such the lucky person lately with my desktop's wireless card funking up and other things, but I have returned yet again. I still haven't improved my skills with making my own beats however I did borrow a random drumline midi creator. Using the online generator I put them into The Shoreline Of Dreams, a remix of Chrono Cross' On The Beach Of Dreams. Please, enjoy.

I must say I haven't been motivated really to write my fiction in some time but there's a character in my story that I want to type up about named Koga Tetsuya who was the Emperor of Arys. I'm not going to say much else about him (as it would be spoiling the story) but this is his theme. My sis heard the song and said it sounds like it would be from Final Fantasy XII. Tell me if you agree with her.

Has it really been that long since I've been able to upload a song here to VR? Sheesh, well 2013 and along with that fact comes Core10, a WulFeNaTuRe Skye original made with Mix Superstar... Perhaps I ought rename this thread sometime if I can.

Well, I'm back again (sounds so typical of me to say). My last post was made sometime after I recovered my desktop to a working internet connection, but before I go off-topic I digress. I was listening to Stickerbrush Symphony (truly my best remixing friend Mr. Konokama's remix of it rather) from Donkey Kong Country 2 and decided to hit it one last time like I did with Rusty Ruins before. Putting that DX-10 VST to work along with the Chaos Bank ended in these results. Funny how I've never played the game yet love the score. This one out for you Twiggy this time.

I've been trying to dig around, thinking of what to remix lately, and Mission Street from Sonic Adventure 2 seemed to be one of my options to keep me busy. I don't know why FL Studio muted some of the drum layer on the left audio side during export. My desktop CPU was being a turkey so I couldn't use my handy Wavepad trick to conserve time; I was tired anyways and needed rest. Thankfully the DX10 plugin turned out nice on the bass and my touch to the song greatly placed.

Why not compare as I have? I don't think it beats the original but I still like how my mix ended up.

I didn't find any midi's for Aspertia City anywhere, but fortunately for me I was able to track down the file I needed to extract the sequence data from. Now I wasn't aiming for a real, higher definition remaster like I did with Virbank City as I wanted to have some fun here. "But how to have fun with it?" I asked myself. I answered myself by using the good old FM sound of the Sega Genesis that I adore and appreciate so much.


Oh and Cat or anyone else reading this, this here's the midi I used. Don't need to credit me or anything as it is just the sequence data ripped straight from the game, no editing done to it.

I like this! Nice job! However, I really think you should try to use VOPM for your next Genesis remix. You can read about it on my music thread, if you're interested. It's an FM Synthesizer Plug-In that allows you to use and edit FM voices from various MD games. You should try it sometime. I'm really interested to see what you can do with it!

(Perhaps we could collab sometime with VOPM? Who knows. :3)

Perhaps, I'd have to learn how to use VOPM and tinker with it more than I have. There's a lot of nobs compared to what I typically mess with lol. X3

Certainly, but just tinker around with it until you get an idea of what each knob does. Or you could use OPM presets.

Yeah, me neither. In the meantime before my next VOPM mix [who knows when that will be] I have Spilled Chemicals, which is a trance [dance or electronica perhaps] mix of Chemical Plant, ready for the ears. This by far was one of my favorite songs to hear on Sonic The Hedgehog 2; I have another mix from before but I think it is unworthy compared to what I've done to it this time, using my knowledge and sounds in Spilled Chemicals.

Next up is a mix of Return Home, an original midi composed by someone who called themselves Theodoric. And what do you know, the instruments I used were VOPM, CheapChip, and the MegaDrive Font.

Well, it's about time I provided another sequence from the games Pokemon White 2 and Black 2. Even though spring's already feeling near its end where I live, it doesn't have to be the same feeling in music. Route 19 (Spring) is what I'm talking about and I've got a remaster as well as the midi for those wanting to try their hand at the unedited midi.

Mmm, this is nice and soothing. At this point in time, I really need soothing music to help calm myself down. This worked nicely at accomplishing that. :)

You know the old saying, music calms the savage beast. It doesn't always but for when it does it's a great feeling. Glad I was able to make it soothing for you Cat. ^^

Hello again folks, finally getting time to post up some music. I'm in a little rush atm so the best I can do is link to my latest mix where most of my tracks have been going lately. The most recent one is Drive by Maoudamashii, remixed with Sega Genesis sounds.

I apologize for the inactivity on my behalf as things haven't been the smoothest. I return once more to post two mixes, Nerine and Lapislazuli. These are more original songs by Maoudamashii but with my Sega Genesis touch to it.

Lapislazuli is definitely my favorite of the two. You did an exceptionally nice job with this one; great instrument choice and it feels very upbeat. :3

If any of my links end up broken on Dropbox it is because I'm considering clearing out space on that service to make room for other files. If one does and you notice it before I catch it please inform me and I'll do my best to mark it as broken. I would suggest downloading anything I've linked directly here before that happens. Use the attachments when posting here and you'll avoid this problem entirely. ;) I made a post about this (in another context, though) some time ago already.

Edit: I went through and fixed your links, so you can easily clean out old remixes from your Dropbox without worrying about links disappearing. Unfortunately, many of the files now have "%20" where spaces were, but that's what happens when uploading directly from Dropbox instead of downloading them first. Also, the following links are dead:

As I do so, I'll take that tipper and instead of uploading to DB when I post remixes, I'll post it directly from now on... When I remember to visit here instead of my homepage at Furaffinity. ^^;

Which I have today done so. It's about a song I heard from a Sonic 2 hack first, then the actual game it is from. I'm talking about Ristar, a platforming game I didn't think I'd like until I played it in Sonic The Hedgehog Mega Collection Plus. It's the best thing I can play with my other titles until I get a hold of Pokemon X somehow. I selected the track Ice Scream from Ristar's RD 5-2 because it's so catchy and easily stuck in one's head. I could honestly imagine it in another Pkmn or other video game hack. Here you guys go, I know there is a server move going on but uploading here shouldn't be a problem.

Wow, it has been a good few months since I've even had the time to post anything up here. I have gotten better during that time with my mixes I do believe, and in that case I have a mix I will make exclusive to this forum. That's right, we're taking a trip down memory lane with the Route Gate from Pokemon Black & White versions, remastered.
