Announcing the Buizel.Net URL Shortening Service!

After many years, my old domain, Buizel.Net, has returned as a URL shortening service, much in the same vein as services like TinyURL and Bitly. What sets mine apart is the unique ability to preview the contents of the site without needing to visit it, saving you the trouble of loading massive pages only to be greeted with a small image or with a long advertisement before a video. The service scans the linked page for prominent media files and proxies them directly to you for speedy access. I've also added it atop the forum for the time being to get folks to try it out. :)

I cannot guarantee that the service always works properly, of course, and there's always a chance for something to go wrong. At the moment, an HTML5-compatible browser with MPEG-4/H.264 and MP3 capabilities is required to enjoy most features of the service.

Check out its ability to work with YouTube videos (be sure to watch it all the way through):

Reply with your best links created through the service! I'd love to hear your feedback. :D

I really like how it's at the top of the main page of VR for ease of use.

The vanity option is so useful for friends when I want to make it a more specific preview!

Now that it's April 2nd, here's the idea for those who don't get it: instead of redirecting to your actual link, it takes you to a page containing one of sixteen different silly things I decided to post, and there is no database containing the links that have been used, so you can put pretty much anything after buizel.net/ and get something.

I'll be leaving it up for a few more days, so this will now be a game to see if you folks can find all sixteen, and this thread's purpose can now be to find them all. ;)

The music video for Ylvis's "What Does the Fox Say?" with a custom animated chorus. I highly suggest checking this one out, as I put a good bit of time into synchronizing the page with the video.

Julius Fučík's "Entrance of the Gladiators" music, except the player spins while the sound phases between the speakers. I highly suggest checking this one out with headphones, but be careful if you get vertigo easily.

Can you folks find the other 14? :-P

No way I got those last two after about 50 different attempts at finding one of them

Well, that made it go quicker than it should have. :P Obviously, the vanity part of the URL does not correlate to the actual contents of the link. Any that do are purely coincidental. :P
