Hey, I need a midi.

I need the midi for Primal Dialga Battle Music. Can I have it, please?

Re: Hey, I need a midi.

I am also looking for a MIDI, actually. I need the one when Grovyle sacrifices himself in PMD2/3, from what I've seen in all my searches, the song is called Sacrifice, but I'm not for sure on that.

Sorry. I don't have that one.

Sweet, thanks for uploading that. While I get to work on that, here's my current remake of Primal Dialga that I plan on making a remix someday. I need to relearn half the crap on Fruity Loops to really get going, you know, get my own style in the song, lol.

I know this topic is old, but I have to sticky it. Too many people ask for this.

DysfunctionalDragons February 12, 2010 01:21:21 AM

Does anyone have MIDIs (not MP3s) for Lugia's battle theme from HGSS or Palkia's battle theme from PMD? I have MP3s already, and I could sequence them by ear, but that's a pain in the butt when I'm trying to finish a medley. And I don't want to bother with ROMs either.

Cat333Pokémon March 2, 2010 12:09:51 AM

I have a MIDI for Lugia's theme, but it's a terrible mess. I can't seem to extract MIDIs from PMD:T/D.

DysfunctionalDragons March 4, 2010 04:13:36 PM

Does it have the right pitches though? That's all I'm concerned about (and I only need the opening). I don't copy-paste; rather, I just glean the harmonic structure from the midi and enter notes in manually with a notation program. I'd appreciate seeing it even if it is a mess. :)

Shame about the PMD stuff though. But I think I may be able to live without that one, as it's less harmonically dense (and my aural skills are only fail when dealing with harmonies— I can notate melodies by ear just fine).

Here is the Lugia one. It's a mess, but it's better than nothing.

DysfunctionalDragons March 5, 2010 06:29:56 AM

Thank you, that's adequate for my purposes. For the sake of everyone else, though, I think I'll sequence a version with MIDI instruments closer to the way it sounds in the game.

Right now I'm sequencing the Palkia theme by ear. Gwah, it's not easy, but I'm working through it, and it's great practice.

Can't wait to hear it!

Can I have a MIDI for the final boss theme (apparently also known as Escape from Bowser) for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, please?

Hm, guess il try my luck here.

Anyone have the MIDI for the B&W Trainer Battle/Subway Trainer Battle?

Cat333Pokémon October 6, 2010 02:04:42 AM

I do have one, but it's a complete mess. I might try cleaning it up at some point, though.

AnathemA November 18, 2010 12:08:00 AM

Its been about a month-ish. Any luck with cleaning up the trainer battle MIDI yet Cat?
Or anyone else for that matter? Still eagerly looking to remix more B&W songs.

Cat333Pokémon November 18, 2010 12:11:09 AM

Ah yes, I did have lots of luck with cleaning it up, but I haven't bothered to export the MIDI file yet. It's late and I have a little bit of homework left, so I'll look into it a bit later.

AnathemA November 18, 2010 12:16:40 AM

Ah, take your time, and thanks a million. Quick question though, how are MIDIs ripped from DS cards? Is a special adapter needed to go from the DS to PC?

The ROM is moved through Wi-Fi to PC (at a very slow speed of 10KB per seconds or 80kbps) and then the ROM's SDAT file is found, and we've hacked that long ago to get the MIDIs and instruments. Of course, if you have a ROM, then my ripper is good enough for you!

Also, Cat, can you move this to Audio & Music section? It feels odd in sprites.

Cat333Pokémon January 15, 2011 05:01:41 PM

It is kind of odd, but it is a request, but most people expect Shops/Requests to be for sprites. I'm not sure.

Ah, yes, I see it in the description. "request modifications to music and images." Hm... how about a sticky in the Music section which is an automatic redirect to this thread?

I used a tool called Ndsntext. It rips things such as sfx and midis from the nds game itself. The thing is, it's not going to be labeled, so you'll have to listen to each one to find the correct one, not to mention the intruments may not always be to your liking.

As for the roms themselves, you're on your own. Sorry :/ You're welcome.

Heart's Soul January 15, 2011 06:03:16 PM

No, hold on.

I used that program before, but after modding the source, I made it better. Rips cleaner now (and ndsntext skips blocks for some reason, so I have to make 3 rips to get a good one with it, but not with mine), but takes about 2-3 seconds longer.

Link

EDIT: Oh, the ROMs are still in HEX. I'm not changing it. At all.

DashArmy January 15, 2011 06:04:51 PM

You basically just answered your own question, right? Or am I missing something?

My question was this- "how about a sticky in the Music section which is an automatic redirect to this thread?"

My statement was that my tool may be clunkier than that tool which I can never spell, but it works a lot better. It works on nds, nd5, and the really rare archive.

Cat333Pokémon January 15, 2011 06:23:53 PM

Hm, with a little bit of sneaky moving (adding a redirect when moving), I put a link there.

Heart's Soul January 15, 2011 06:30:00 PM

Thanks, Cat! That will get spam out of the way.

Late Post--Help needed :]

Hi, New member here. I was wondering if anyone could get me the original thread starter's MIDI request. The song known as "Sacrifice", or "Through the Sea of time" From PMD 2/3, When Grovyle Sacrifices his life . I've been looking everywhere for it.

Thanks so much in Advance :]

(Sorry about posting like 6 months after)

EDIT: It was [Artomis'] request, sorry.

Twiggy November 4, 2011 05:46:51 AM

I'm thinking of this... I wonder who had the entire HGSS music ripped and all cleaned up? I'd like a ZIP file of all of them.
