i recently got platinum and i cant beat the elite four.

my team:
staraptor (53)
luxray (55)
torterra (51)
empoleon (54)
infernape (51)
lucario (55)


other pokemon i have
gabite (43)
alakazam (47)
giratina (47)
palkia (47)
azlef (50)

if you can suggest different pokemon or certain movesets it would help.
or a good place to train these pokemon

Where in the E4 are you having problems? Cynthia's Garchomp always gives me the most problems, where a fast Pokémon (quick claw perhaps) can usually take it out with a powerful enough ice attack; Ice Beam is recommended, though Blizzard may work if you are desperate.

Could you provide movesets as well please? o3o

Infernape should be used to take down Aaron
Torterra and empoleon should be used to take down Bertha
Empoleon and Lucario should be used to take down Flint
Anything should be used to take down Lucian. If luxray knows crunch that will definatly help.
Also, try and get all your pokemon to level 55 or 60 even.

the movesets are

infernape: flame wheel, mach punch, ember, flamethrower
lucario: force palm, aura sphere, dragon pulse, shadow claw
empoleon: drill peck, surf, aqua jet, brine
luxray: thunder fang, crunch, spark, bite
torterra: earthquake, synthesis, razor leaf, giga drain
staraptor: aerial ace, fly, wing attack, brave bird

Dump the attacks in red
Orange = I would dump it but it depends on certain things...ask someone else.

To replace the attacks, I'm not going to say specifics, but you should definitely go for either: 1. attacks of a different type than the ones deleted that compliment whether the pokemon is better with special attacks or physical attacks (in parentheses) or 2. an attack that heightens said attack type in parentheses.

As far as Lucario goes, leave it alone.

Judging by your levels, you might want to level up more. Go see if you can re-match some of the people in Victory road.

beat the E4 thanks for your guys' help!!!! flare all i did was get rid of surf on empoleon and gave it blizzard and torterra got leaf storm in place of giga drain. o yeah and razor lear was replaced by wood hammer

So shouldn't this thread be closed now since the problem is solved?
