Pokémon With Changed Base Stats
Some Pokémon in X and Y have updated base stats; all of which are slight increases. Most of the changes are minor, but they might have an impact in battle.
Here's a list of the changes:
Pokemon With Changed Base Stats

Now when i bring my eved raichu over from my 5th gen game, he'll be 10 points faster.
|
Doesn't really affect any Pokémon I use, but I'm sure there are a few Alakazam and Raichu users who would be pleased by this.
|
Well this makes some other pokemon viable now
Although I don't agree with..the Alakazam buff though |

Strangely, every single buff seems to be a +10. Does it end up making the distribution more even with regard to other similar Pokémon?
|
So like a lot of things were raised by ten.
I like what Scolipede got, and Nidoking too. I might have to create new movesets for them. But I don't care too much about Raichu's, it's already good enough. |
**Update**
More Pokémon were added to the list. :062:Poliwrath now has base 95 Atk instead of 85. :076:Golem now has base 120 Atk instead of 110. :189:Jumpluff now has base 95 SpDef instead of 85. :295:Exploud now has base 73 SpDef instead of 63. :398:Staraptor now has base 60 SpDef instead of 50. :526:Gigalith now has base 80 SpDef instead of 70. |
Gigalith makes sence because I had more trouble taking one down recently.
|
Were any Pokémon hindered though? I'm guessing no.

**Update**
:045: Vileplume now has base 110 SpAtk instead of 100. :071: Victreebel now has base 70 SpDef instead of 60. :508: Stoutland now has base 110 Atk instead of 100. :521: Unfezant now has base 115 Atk instead of 105. :537: Seismitoad now has base 95 Atk instead of 85. |
Whoa, I'm actually quite pleased with these buffs. Except Pideot. That thing needs better Atk.
|
Two more Pokémon added.
:182: Bellossom now has base 95 Defense instead of 85. :542: Leavany now has base 80 SpDef intead of 70. |
All of them so far are buffs still. I wonder if GF was trying to make it so everything is more viable and they won't separate into tiers so easily.
|
Maybe, but some Pokémon are still useless competitively, like Linoone, one of my favorites.
