The M840 does look a bit better, but there is only one warning I have for it: the power consumption is significantly higher, so expect a faster battery drain.

Seems like everyone for the most part agrees, but for the battery drain, pretty sure most computers these days can underclock and/or turn off cores whenever necessary, so it's probably more in the sense of complete system efficiency. The power brick, on the other hand...

I wonder whether I'll regret not getting a clickpad after spending almost half a year with one, though.

EDIT/UPDATE: The 7670M seems underpowered by a long shot compared to the 640M, even with the i7 backing it up. Judging from benchmarks, I guess since I'm supposed to make use of my gaming library, and there's a bit of a warranty issue with the M840, looks like P840 is my only real choice.

Hey, at least I'll enjoy the premium extras, huh?

EDIT/UPDATE 2: Mistakes abound! The P840 should have a 630M instead, which makes its performance about level than the 7670M, depending on whether the game is D3D or OpenGL (former favours NVIDIA, latter favours AMD)...

I'm a-swinging.
