In Tech., we are having an upcoming project, but the teacher dosen't know what it is.(lol) She says she takes suggestions, so we might be doing sprites! I also did a report on B/W, Epic Mickey, Sonic 4&Sonic Colors, and a book of poems on Video Game characters.

Oh, definitely. I even did a PowerPoint presentation on how to do the Galaxy Man level from Mega Man 9. I got extra credit for using a lot of animations. Most of them were Mega Man related. I'm sure Ive done it a lot more then that though.

I did a PowerPoint on the history of video games, from the Missile Command cathode-ray tube computer to PONG to the Wii. I got one of the three highest grades of the class.
Also, in Spanish, whenever I'm asked "Que cosas te gustas?" or something similar I put "Me gusta jugar videojuegos" and I go into detail about which games I like playing. |

I would also draw little pictures of Sho Minamimoto on Algebra tests. I would get them back colored in with red pen.
For English, I did haikus on the Swamp, Mountain, Ocean, and Canyon. That's a Majora's Mask reference for the blatantly unaware. |

Sometimes in very deep papers I make a cake reference or two, and its usually circled and a question mark is placed next to it.
Oh, and I know its not video game-related, but I sometimes draw faec's on very tedious questions I know I got right on math tests, and lolwut pears when something was worthy of it. These shenanigans wouldn't be tolerated if I got bad grades, but luckily... |

I'm always putting game related stuff in my school assignments. One of my most recent ones was for an English essay last semester. We were supposed to evaluate/review some sort of product/service. Naturally I was going to make mine gaming related. However, instead of going with the typical Wii/DS/PS3/360, I did mine on the Sega DreamCast. Got a pretty good grade on it also (amazing how assignments are much more interesting to work on when they are about something you are actually interested in).

I've got a lot
Two years ago we had to give a speech in English about something. I hadn't prepared ANYTHING, so I just spoke about the first thing that came to my head; The revelation of the DSi. I stood in front of my whole class talking about the differences between a DS Lite and a DSi, and while I was considered a major nerd for saying the work Pokémon once, I got a pretty good mark for it! I also make indirect Pokémon references in descriptive writing pieces: "A sky-blue turtle pokes it's head from behind a bin, drooling heavily. It then crams itself inside it's hard, brown shell, just it's curly tail poking out, and uses powerful jets of water to shoot down the street." A couple of days ago in Drama I snuck in the lines "I wanna be the very best, like no-one ever was". It was a disaster, the only person who got the reference really put me off. :3 And finally in the planning stages of my ICT course, I put "Make the correct party escort submission position decision" in the final task box that I had free, and then in the details box next to it I wrote "There will be cake". |

I wrote a 4 page essay about gaming in 8th grade. I covered everything from "What is Video Gaming", to "Video Gaming as a Career".
I got an A+ and it got featured in one of those "quality work done by our students" board thing, my school has. Never was I more proud of being a student. The smirk on my face doubled in size, when I heard that parents thought my essay was influencing people to play games and wanted it taken down |

I don't think this counts, but I will usually draw Pokéballs in the corner of my papers. And I will sometimes draw a portal reference somewhere. (You can see "THE CAKE IS A LIE" on the front of my History notebook) |

In tech we were supposed to make a store. I made a game store and did made tons of references throughout. I might actually be able to dig up some business cards and maybe the Keynote presentation. Wouldn't that be something?
P.S. 100th post! EDIT: In response to Quadcenturo, pretty much my whole class scream that during Geometry. Nobody really knows why. But we do. Last edited by pokemoneinstein; October 7, 2010 at 06:42:39 PM. |

I once put a reference to the DSi Sound in a current event paper. Other than that, I don't put much video game references into school assignments. But I might put a gaming reference into an engineering assignment.
And what's with the suggestive tag at the bottom? ._. |

Most of my grade dont really know much about Pokemon. So I draw the Team Plasma logo on all my books and equipment, and the school tables if im feeling like it. (Yeah, I'm a bad student..)
Also, I have a menger sponge keychain, like N's, which I wear everyday to school. Hoping SOMEONE might spot the reference. No luck so far :/ |

In computer programming a few weeks ago, we were allowed to make a program display whatever message we wanted, so I made it say "all your base are belong to us." Of course, the teacher had no idea what it meant and presumably thought I had suckish grammar.

Oh boy, do I.
In 7th Grade, I was told to bring in 3 things that described my personality. The 3rd tihng I brought in was my Pokémon Diamond case, to show that I am an avid gamer. SHOCK: My teacher has Diamond too, beat it(Before I did, no less), and wanted to battle me. I told him that I'd give him a Raincheck, gave him my Platinum FC(when the game came out), and then I pummeled him with my Giratina + Infernape combo. BTW: Epic English Teacher. |

one time i did a project in 4th\5th grade, it was a make-your-own-planet assignment. One continent was from a book, one was a reference to that one spin-off of Adventure quest (the one with the dragons), and there was a portal into an area that was a reference to another game that i found online.
