Sonjo's attempt at art

So, one day I was terribly, unfathomably bored, and sought something to do. All I could find was my art pad. So, I started to doodle. But doodle what exactly?

Well, as some of you might already know, I like to both role play and draw. I was waiting for a post in said role play, I decided to draw Sonjo, my character I often use in Pokemon roleplays. And well, this was the result:



Here is his sprite (also made by yours truly) which I used for his appearance before:



Now, I know I'm not the best artist, and that I plenty of room to improve. However, I think my 'self portrait' came out nicely. But, since I drew it, it's only natural. So, does anyone have any comments/suggestions/constructive criticism for me?

I like how it came out. It looks a little like Brendan (RS version).
