I have just gone on a Kill la Kill binge, and I must say that I am IMPRESSED! I didn't know what I was expecting out of it, but it has a lot of Gurren Lagann and PSG flare; amazing action, strange comedy, and Gainax sexiness. The main character even uses a half-scissor for a weapon like I used to~ Unfortunately now I'm hooked and I can't wait for the next episode... I hate this feeling...

I keep finding myself re-watching the 'Short' series DRRR (Don't even ask me about it's name, I'm fully convinced it's this... )
It's one of like two animes where I like pretty much all the characters. There are other reasons, but I'm at a loss of words right now... In other words, I'm too lazy to try to figure out what the others were. |

Well, guess I'll bring this back.
A few weeks ago I decided to rewatch the anime "Nerima Daikon Brothers," a 12 episode shorty. It's unique for it was written in the rare style of a musical comedy. I've yet to see it subbed, but the dub is just as good (probably better) because they even redid all of the songs. It's full of references, I even found a couple Beatles ones~<3. And it also has an adorable panda mascot who is just everything~ Even though I've rewatched this many more times than Fullmetal Alchemist it remains my 2nd favorite anime, though it's dangerously close to topping it. FMA still has complex plot and emotional ties while NDB has NSFW comedy and music. |

I just finished watching all of the currently released episodes of Kill La Kill. I'd say that it's comparable to Gurren Lagann (in my eyes) in terms of quality and the overall enjoyment I've recieved from watching. That being said, both were done by Studio Trigger, who made Gurren Lagann AND Panty and Stocking while still part of Gainax. If you haven't seen anything I've mentioned yet, I insist that you at least give them a shot. Seriously.
Go for it. You won't regret it. (Or maybe you will) Last edited by blueumbreon; December 21, 2013 at 11:11:51 PM. |

I saw Summer Wars yesterday and just saw The Girl Who Leapt Through Time...
They were good, but they didn't really give me what I wanted out of them... I still highly reccomend them. Summer Wars is super feel-good and The Girl really makes you think. Last edited by Eagles; February 4, 2014 at 02:29:03 PM. |

Noragami episode 10, Nagi no Asukara episode 23, KILL la KILL episode 22, and Chuunibyou Ren episode 10.
So much good ongoing anime. But KILL la KILL still takes the cake. "My arms" Last edited by ~Charlotte; March 17, 2014 at 03:25:34 PM. Reason: Agh, I knew there was something off about the numbers. |

Gurren Lagann: Just pure amazingness. As my 3rd or 4th anime watched fully through, I have to say that the creativity in anime overall surpasses most western mediums with ease. I'm so glad I was able to watch it, I'll likely be watching the dub eventually.
I reccomend it if you are in any way able to watch anime. I might be overpraising it a bit, but it's just fantastical. Starting Attack on Titan now... oh my god I love how messed up this show is. <3 Bring on the death, baby~ |

I just watched the entireity of Attack on Titan in 2 days...
I'm a bad man. ;~; Although now whenever I play with my dachshund I'm going to have to think of myself as a titan. That show is so addicting, though. I hate it so much... And yet I love it so much, too. |

A while ago, I watch the entire series of Binbougami-ga. (Good Luck Girl if you plan on watching the dubbed version) One of the very few animes I had a lot of fun watching besides Kill La Kill. As a brief summary, it's about a spoiled girl with tons of good luck living with an evil goddess as her "roommate". Thus, experiencing many quirky/random experiences throughout the show as they end up being somewhat rivals. Definitely reccomend to those who don't mind a somewhat vulgar/funny show. And a must if you're a fan of media that mocks other media like myself. As there are many references to Dragonball, One Piece, Death Note, and even Pokemon in the show.

I had to take a temporary break from this as my fangirliness was going into overdrive in very dangerous levels buuut I'm watching Black Butler (dub, I am no fan of subtitles sorry~) (Sebastianismybae).
I forgot the AoT got an English dub finally so I need to watch that as well while I read the manga. |

Just finished Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann a month ago, got especially emotional during the end (Kamina and Kittan will be missed)
I'm currently starting Kill La Kill right now since I'm tired of waiting for the dub to get it's full release and mainly because I never had watched the show before. (You didn't watch the subs? Shame on you, zard!) Judging from the first two episodes I've watched, it has a very cinematic approach. Much like TTGL, but to an even bigger extent. Ryuko is cool as I predicted but, she's getting rekt a bit much right now. Senketsu is also a beast, I wasn't certain wether the "u" in his name was silent or not till I saw the dub. Much like Lady Satsuki's name. Ira Gomagori's dub voice is super awesome, couldn't have been done better....I look foward to see just how crazy the rest of the series is once the rest of the episodes are released for dub. |
