Dell says I should be getting up to 5 hours and 15 minutes.
ಠ_ಠ If I try to conserve my battery I can maybe get 3 hours and 15 minutes, otherwise it's usually around 2:45. edit: It's also amusing what they say about it. "Increase your mobility with the optional nine-cell battery, with up to 10 hours and 24 minutes of battery life, or choose the standard six-cell battery for up to five hours and 15 minutes of power." Yeah, like the nine-cell battery will get you ten and a half hours of battery life. Last edited by NismoZ; July 18, 2012 at 12:45:14 PM. |

OK, I've done some further testing on my laptop, and it seems that, on 3/15 brightness in Windows 7, with power-saving mode activated on the display (but not on the computer itself), I get 3 hours and 20 minutes before the battery hit 3%. Pretty awful, no?
I've always wondered why no one else seems to be bothered with their laptop battery stats. |
