New Pokemon Wii RPG in the Works?
*The subject in question has not been officially confirmed, and therefore should not be taken as such.
According to a columnist from GamingUpdate.com, when at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), there was little Nintendo-related merchandise on display besides the 3DS, which wasn't entirely on public display either. At a Nintendo booth, they discussed why there was no Pokemon merchandise at the show with a Nintendo representative, the reason revealed to be because Nintendo did not have the license for it. As they were about to leave the booth, the representative mentioned something of note: "What I want to know is will the Wii title that they are making that is similar to Gales of Darkness have full connectivity with Black and White?" Obviously, this would have taken the columnist by surprise, as no such game has been officially announced. According to them (the columnist), the game was apparently meant to be a combination of Pokemon XD:Gale of Darkness, and Pokemon Battle Revolution. That is an RPG-style story mode, with a side colosseum mode. The game is supposedly in development, and a full 3D title, as opposed to a My Pokemon Ranch-style WiiWare game. Same. I've been essentially writing a fan-fiction plot for the next 3D RPG for the past few years (albeit occasionally) in anticipation. Gale of Darkness was my first-ever Gamecube game, and I got a special silver Gamecube with a Shadow Lugia sticker and a silver controller with it. I never got around to buying the Shadow Lugia skin, but I really wanted to.

This sounds like a REALLY exciting title! I hope that it is confirmed later on, as I always wanted a proper RPG Pokémon game on the Wii which did not become boring quickly. Plus, the inclusion of Gen V; the combination of mechanics from Gale of Darkness and Battle Revolution; and the usage of 3D only makes it that more interesting.
