That sucks to lose to a kid! Anyway, I would be glad to help you make a team. You just need to make the decision of which type of team you want. (Weather, Casual, one with your Favorite Pokemon, etc.) Just make a decision and I will help you make a awesome team!

Yeah well i know about that, but what i dont know what would be better for me. I was going through teams on smogon, and i think i like this team a lot, but it is for triples. So for that, i was wondering if i should make teams for everything, weather, singles, doubles, triples, (etc.) http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3422113 WHat do you think i should do?

It seems like a good team but almost every battle you will be doing is Single so it is best to make a Single team. I personally love weather, espicially Sandstorm, so we could start with a weather team if you want.

Well since you really like Gliscor then lets go with Sandstorm! First thing to do is pick between 2 Pokemon that you have to have for a Sandstorm team, Tyranitar or Hippowdon. I really like both of these guys but they are completely different in type and stats. Tyranitar is offensive with decent defenses, while Hippowdon is more on the defensive side while has a decent attack power. I will provide a set for each Pokemon below and you can pick between them.
Tyranitar @ Leftovers Ability: Sandstream Nature: Sassy EVs: 252 HP/160 Sp.Atk/96 Sp.Def ~Stealth Rock ~Pursuit ~Ice Beam ~Fire Blast This set is good for getting rid of Drought Ninetails and Drizzle Politoed. Tyranitar is slower than both of these pesky Pokemon so at the beginning of the battle when he is your lead then Sandstorm is set up, not Sun or Rain, so the other pokemon might be scared out and when they do then you Pursuit them, which in some case can KO them both. the other moves are basic. Hippowdon @ Leftovers Ability: Sandstream Nature: Impish EVs: 252 HP/120 Def/136 Sp.Def ~Stealth Rock ~Roar ~Slack Off ~Earthquake/Stone Edge This set is basic and you are probably familiar with it so there isn't much to say here. |

He can get rid of them with Roar and if you get lucky and Ninetails stays in and uses Energy ball on you then you can KO it with Earthquake but Modest Politoed w/ 252 Sp.Atk might be able to take you out with 2 Hydro Pumps if you don't Roar it out!

I know it's a hard choice but Tyranitar is a better choice to save Sandstorm and keep it up since so many weather teams are common these days. So which do you want? No rush.
Also when I get my DS back I will help you make a Tyranitar and Hippowdon as I already have both on them but not the right EVs and natures so we will have to breed a lot, lol! Last edited by [TRDRS]PokeTrader; July 11, 2011 at 07:07:34 AM. |

Ok, now we can add in Gliscor a couple of Sweeping Pokemon that love Sandstorm.
Here is a great set for Gliscor: Gliscor @ Toxic Orb Ability: Poison Heal Nature: Jolly EVs: 252 HP/80 Atk/176 Spd ~Protect ~Fling ~Earthquake ~Acrobatics This set is common except the EVs which I made up and seem to work quite well. Now for 2 Awesome Sweepers! Sweeper #1: Excadrill @ Air Baloon Ability: Sand Rush Nature: Jolly EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd ~Swords Dance ~X-Scissor ~Rock Slide ~Earthquake Who doesn't love this epic mole! This set is basic except for Jolly which is to outspeed other Excadrill so there is not much to say here either. Sweeper #2 Stoutland @ Choice Band Ability: Sand Rush Nature: Adamant EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd ~Fire Fang ~Crunch ~Wild Bolt ~Return Your probably gona say "Really, Stoutland! WTF dude!?" But trust me, this set is amazing, I use it myself. I made this set up one day while I want trying to complete a Sandstorm team that worked really good with it. He has great coverage and can also get rid of opposing Excadrill. Well, what do you think so far? Last edited by [TRDRS]PokeTrader; July 11, 2011 at 07:29:12 AM. |

If that happens then switch into Tyranitar again, lol! (try not to let him die, only use him when you have to) Also its not that great to have a Tyranitar and Hippowdon together in the same team.
Anyway, you have a stong weakness to Water and I know just the right cure! Ferrothorn @ Leftovers Ability: Iron Barbs Nature: Relaxed EVs: 252 HP/48 Def/208 Sp.Def ~Thunder Wave ~Spikes ~Leech Seed ~Gyro Ball It is a little different version of te basic set so not much to say here either. Do you like tis idea? |

Hmmm....that will work!
Ok, your team so far: Tyranitar, Gliscor, Excadrill, Stoutland, Ferrothorn. *WARNING* *MAJOR FIGHTING WEAKNESS DETECTED* Yep, I just notice this myself. Over half of you team is weak to Fighting so that means it is time for a Ghost-Type! The best Pokemon for this job is Jellicent! Jellicent @ Leftovers Ability: Water Absorb Nature: Bold EVs: 248 HP/252 Def/4 Spd ~Recover ~Taunt ~Toxic ~Scald This guy is pretty epic at the stuff he can do! This set has Double Statuses which are pretty good if you can give them to your opponent! He also gets rid of that Major Fighting Weakness and also helps your Water Weakness with Water Absorb! It is a cool Pokemon and could be a big help to your team. So do you like the last member of your team? |
