Up to three eh? These would be the pokemon from each gen I'd like to see on the roster.
Gen 1 - Nidoking, Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan Gen 2 - Tyranitar, Hitmontop and Scizor Gen 3 - Manectric, Absol and Slaking Gen 4 - Glaceon, Magmortar and Electivire Gen 5 - Samurott, Zoroark and Haxorus Gen 6 - Sylveon, Greninja, and Delphox |

I found this screenshot (somebody added the red rectangles) online from a few days ago, after an update. I wonder if we'll actually be getting twenty total characters.

In terms of generations...
Gen I: Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Primeape Gen II: Hitmontop, Smeargle (Uses drawings to attack?), Typhlosion Gen III: Shiftry, Medicham, Metagross Gen IV: Floatzel (though it seems unlikely if what Bulbapedia says about Buizel being a background Pokemon is true), Vespiquen, Toxicroak Gen V: Emboar (Grappler or Sumo-style, natch.), Conkeldurr, Escavelier Gen VI: Chesnaught, Slurpuff/Aromatisse, Noivern |

Chandelure was an odd choice, but it was indeed the most popular Gen V Pokémon according to a poll in Famitsu magazine:
Also, some of you have probably already seen this, but I'm still going to bring it up: Suicune looks kind of lonely as the sole Gen II rep, and Braixen and Chandelure are the only fighters representative of Generations V and VI. Last edited by Cat333Pokémon; January 23, 2016 at 11:56:12 AM. |

I just picked it up last night and I'm really liking it so far. I wish that the story was done in a different way, but I'm only in the Blue League right now, so that could change still. I really wouldn't mind seeing high level play of this game too.

I picked up the game the day it came out. It's weird how you need to continuously switch between 2 different fighting styles, but of course that's the beauty of something new like this. If it's not obvious, I use Lucario and Chandelure a lot.
Also, screw Charizard. Over 200 damage per seismic toss I cry everytime, especially since one of my friends mains Charizard. Last edited by Reuniclus; March 27, 2016 at 04:33:12 PM. |

I do not own a Wii U, but I played the demo at my uncle's house on his Wii U. I am surprise how complex this game is, and I wish that I have a Wii U so I could enjoy this game. I was also so happy when they announced that Sceptile was going to be playable in this game. I am shocked that they have not announced any DLC yet for this game.
Also, this game outsold Street Fighter V. Last edited by Mega Man; July 5, 2016 at 09:57:23 AM. |

I wouldn't be surprised either way if this game does or does not receive DLC. It has become almost standard for fighting games these days, but some games seem to just release a new title when they want to add new characters or tweak the mechanics.
