I find them very useful for solving each level. Besides, there's no way for you to affect how many coins you can possibly get from a level; it's all decided as soon as the game board appears. I think they're good and besides, the more levels you clear the more money you'll get, anyway.

In my case, the 0-5 strategy in Voltorb Flip is essential for winning any level. After all, this is what got me to level 6 and made me collect over 15,000 coins.
