Default Why do gaming laptops have to look like gaming laptops?

Do gaming laptops that aren't Ultrabooks (see Acer) and don't look like gaming laptops exist? They all scream "Gamer" to the public and while some might like it, others won't like the increased attention.

At least mainstream laptops these days are pretty dang powerful when it comes to dedicated graphics anyway.

My theory is that laptop manufacturers who make gaming laptops think that those that use laptops for their primary source of gaming don't know what to look for when it comes to specs, so the manufacturers go out of their way to scream "gaming" all over the laptop, even if the laptop doesn't have very high-end hardware.

I prefer gaming on a desktop anyway.
