I am done with four gym leaders already, so I guess I can have a feedback on the first half of them. I would say that Elesa was the hardest. Her Emolga were able to defeat both my Pignite and Simisage. Zebstrika defeated my Palpitoad. The battle between my Yamask and her Zebstrika took ages. It was surely a very hard battle.
The easiest gym leader so far was Burgh. Simisage, who had a type disadvantage, was able to knock out the first two, while Pignite defeated Leavanny. |

After catching Cobalion, Drayden's gym was a cookie for me to eat. It wasn't exactly easy, but it was easy enough for me to breeze through. Deino (not Drayden's) was the easiest, Cobalion's sacred sword (Fighting-Type) sliced the Dragon-Dark type in half. Drayden's team was quite tough, but I just used Steel Head to make the dragons flinch.

I've gotten up to the 5ht gym so far. All of them were relatively easy. I only had trouble with Elesa and Burgh. Elesa kept on using Volt Switch on my Pokemon. It was annoying cause it did a lot of damage. I forgot why Burgh was hard, probably cause he gave all my Pokemon except Patrat, which sucked, a status effect.
This generation's gyms have been a little easier. They're not so easy that they aren't a challenge, but they're easy. o3o |

>first gym, sweep with monkey
>second gym, almost didn't pass >3rd gym, get raped by type disadvantage >4th gym, inflict burn with Yamask on everything seen >fifth gym, lose once then sweep with Simipour next >sixth gym, win despite type disadvantage >seventh gym, catch Zebstrika with flame charge. Gym finished. >eighth gym, be dissapoint by suxorus |

Just defeated the 7th gym. Easiest one ever, considering my Litwick was under leveled in all of the battles. I didn't have to use a Pokemon center to heal it, and I only used ethers to restore PP on it's Flame Burst. Last edited by Shiny; March 17, 2011 at 05:41:31 PM. |

All pretty much easy though I did notice a difference in difficulty , the only one I actually will say I had trouble on was Burgh. I had two pokemon then, one was weak to Bug. The easiest was either Clay, Skyla or Brycen. Clay was sweeped pretty much with just Servine, Skyla went down with an underleveled Tynamo, and Brycen went down with an underleveled Litwick.

After battling the 6th gym, I can easily say that the battles are tougher this generation. Elesa was definitely the strongest so far; her Emolga were powerful and kept on landing critical hits. Even Clay and Skyla weren't as strong as her.

Lenora was the toughest gym for me. Fricking Watchog swept my team with Hypnosis/Confuse Ray and Retaliate OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND FFFFFFFFFfffff.
After that though, I found most of the gyms to be a joke. I remember my Zebstrika single-handedly swept Skyla on the first attempt and I never even had to heal. And for every single gym battle, I was a good five or so levels below the Leader. .-. |
