VRIM3 Beta Testers & Documenter Proofreaders Needed

Well, since I really could use a few more beta testers, I figured I may as well sell out and make a thread. This won't be overly exhaustive, but if you feel interested in checking out some of the cool new features a few weeks early, or perhaps breaking things to the point of driving me mad, I could use some help. There are two tasks I'm focusing on for now, which are...


Beta Tester
Pretty much what you'd expect. You get early access to the VictoryRoad-hosted version of VRIM3; you break things (but don't buy them); you report them to me here; I fix them or something. Dunno, but you may also get your name on the credits if you like (not exactly a promise, but a possibility if you'd like a small bit of website advertising).

Ultimately this really isn't that hard, though I will need some focus on a few things if reasonably possible, for instance testing a slew of different browsers for inconsistencies, then sending me screenshots or videos of the issues.


Documentation Proofreader
Basically you read the documentation, maybe do some copyediting, and tell me where I used bad grammar, spelling, and the like.

Ultimately, if you do a lot of technical writing I could use some help here, but I doubt many people would have the experience (I don't even have it ).

It worked until you released VRIM2 and changed the CVS/XML specifications. and I postponed it until you finish the VRIM3 documentation.

Answers that question. I'll have the documentation ready by the end of the week, hopefully a fair bit sooner.

(There will still be a few small changes reflecting the parental controls overhaul, though.)
