I think this sounds pretty promising- a fresh start is always pretty nice. I'm guessing it's just based off the events in the game, so Brendan instead of Ruby and- May instead of Sapphire.
Though, I do wonder if this means that Ash's adventures will come to an end. If they don't bother to run both at the same time, I wonder what they'll do. |

I have a feeling this new anime will be quite similar to the BW2 anime that was featured last October. (I kinda hope it's similar too)
This new anime might even be intended for a more mature audience. (Just a guess ![]() Last edited by Cat333Pokémon; August 16, 2013 at 08:02:31 PM. Reason: The old link was a video from a complete moron |

If it's for a more mature (the PROPER) audience, then there's nothing stopping me from watching it. Last edited by TurtwigX; August 16, 2013 at 08:22:13 PM. |

So it turns out this will only be a short lived anime.
Which makes sense since they showed the final scenes of the game in the trailer. Hopefully they'll try to show a proper Team Rocket at least. Last edited by Magmaster12; August 17, 2013 at 05:35:40 AM. |

Their faces look weird but I'm in love with those lighting and shading effects they're using. It seems to just be an anime adaptation of the original game's story if Red chose Charmander. But the question is... why? I wonder if Kanto is going to be important in 6th Generation, but right now I do not want to know because spoilers. I'm out.

During the Pokemon Game Show, a trailer was revealed for an upcoming anime special entitled "Pokemon:The Origin". As opposed to the longstanding Pokemon main series anime, which only loosely follows the games, the special appears to be based directly off of them, with both Red and Green ("Blue" in international versions) appearing. The special also uses a distinct animation style and presentation, no doubt to further differentiate itself from the aforementioned main series anime. Whether this is simply a surprise bonus for longtime fans of the series, or an indication of Game Freak's future intentions for the franchise is yet to be known.
The trailer in question may be viewed below: Source(s):[Pokemon Official Japanese Youtube Channel] |

Nah, bbys. It's not based off Pokemon Adventures, it's based off the games story. Red doesn't start with Charmander in the manga. He starts with Bulbasaur.
![]() Edit: Green starts with Charmander. D: Last edited by Sub-zero; August 18, 2013 at 07:25:28 PM. |

Did anyone else get the same feeling in this trailer as with Fire Red and Leaf Green? It's like a perfect blend of retro and a sense of freshness. It definitely reminds me of the days when I played those games with my friends in 2004.
