Pick up one of these:

I got one from a local GameStop for $10, and my original 3DS was revived by it.

Oh right, those exist.

Will have to have a look at how it connects, though, due to a certain hardware mod possibly causing it to not fit nicely . . .

How long do you have your 3DS?

After around 500 cycles, the 3DS battery will have around 70% of its maximum capacity. (Consider replacing the battery, or, if you want to, wait it out until the New Nintendo 3DS is out, if you want that.)

Been around three years now. I've been pretty much leaving it plugged in constantly when not walking around with it, which is probably not the best idea

Tbh just replacing it eventually will probably be the simplest idea, considering how much I depend on this individual console and how much of a pain replacing it could be.

Maybe just waiting for the New Nintendo 3DS might be a better idea. You basically get more of everything.

Normally I'd say yes, but replacing this thing could be a bit of a pain and I'd rather stick it out with this one for as long as possible: http://victoryroad.net/attachment.ph...1&d=1417847590

Ah, so it's a 3DS with capture. That is a bit harder to get around, then!

Sometimes I wish I had something like that, but I guess the 3DS XL display is more than good enough for me.

I'd recommend it, but only if you plan on using it often. Costs more than the console itself :$

Just get a regular replacement battery, there's a bunch on eBay, or check your GameStops/local game stores.

Probably just the best solution, yeah :P

Will probably at least go and ask them about how the extra battery fits, though. Couldn't hurt.

Okay, uh, remember how I said I spilled apple juice on my keyboard a few days ago? Not quite sure if this is related, but two keys in the middle of it, U and K, have spontaneously stopped working properly.

This is what I get when I hit K:
And this is what I get when I hit U: ukukukukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk kkkkkkkkk(ad infinitum)

My best guess is that some of the liquid finally got underneath the plastic and ended up fizzling one of the wires or something, but considering that the Escape, F1 and 1 keys are both working perfectly and on the opposite side of the keyboard, that doesn't really make too much sense.

Any suggestions?

It's telling you to move to the UK.

I've actually had this same thing happen to a keyboard of mine where some keys were really damaged. I suggest removing all the caps and giving it a deep cleaning. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the keyboard. If it's a laptop keyboard, search for your laptop model on eBay along with "keyboard."

I swear, if one more person tells me this . . . :$

Fortunately for me it's a USB keyboard so I can probably just replace it for like ten dollars, but I need so save my money so I can blow it on video games. Took out the keys in question and poked around with a screwdriver and didn't visually see anything wrong, but I might as well do it some more.

Urgh . . . I feel like I should know the answer here, but it's not coming to me and Google isn't helping.

If I have a 3.6V rechargable battery, can I safely replace it with a 3.7V rechargable battery? My 3DS is down to like fifteen minutes of battery life max, and I can't find an exact replacement on Amazon : /

If it specifically is designed for the 3DS, most likely. Overvolting a device is bad, but many devices have tolerance for power supplies within a small amount of their rated voltage.

So I think my "this is a really bad idea" level has set a new record. In total the process took about 18 hours, locked up my computer almost completely - took like ten minutes to take the printscreen - and survived without setting anything on fire.
