Default Legendary Discussion

Based off of my theories of the starters I think the legendaries of this game may be the distant ancestors of all Pokemon.

I also believe the third member of the trio will some how be able to change formes between sky and land in the third version.

Also they may be based off of the Norse gods, the stag and the eagle.

If you see the Snake at the bottom I hope this means we've found the final member of the trio.

Ohhh, Norse god theme!? That's a VERY good point there, Mag! This will be even MORE amazing if that's really what the main inspiration is! All I have to say right now is that the Avian's design is so uniqe, and it's my favorite Gen 6 Pokemon already. It's colors, however, make me think that there might be a secondary type to it... maybe Dark? Maybe Psychic? (I hope so~) I can't wait to find out more about him! I'm not found of the deerp but his antlers (or she?) is very unique, and I wonder if that design ties in anywhere else in the game. They're both very regal looking in a way.

okay. before I saw the whole announcement and just the X and Y logo, I thought the legendary trio would maybe resemble Groudon and Kyorgre, possibly alternate formes. but apparently not. I like the designs for these new legendary pokes, but there's one thing that bugs me. The deer thing reminds me too much of a cross between Virizion and Sawsbuck, and the bird reminds me of Ho-oh. And if the third one of the trio becomes a snake, I feel like it'll resemble Rayquaza too much.. but it hasn't come out yet, so I wouldn't know. This norse idea does seem interesting though.

Hmm. Weird names, hopefully we will get a third member to make a trio which could represent Z.

Something I copied and pasted: "Yveltal, a wyvren-like Pokémon". I have seen these in other articles as well.. Looks like Yveltal has to follow the Main-Dragon stereotype Just in case you don't know what a wyvren looks like:

I'd like to call it Ex-er-nee-us just to keep the X in the name.
And I say Wy-vel-tall to have it sound like Wyvern.

Norse mythology? Oh sweet, that gives me another interesting subject to research. The most common theory I've seen around was that X, Y, and Z could represent the 3 dimensional axes (and like literally every 3DS game had "3D" worked into it), so if the snake is in it as the Z and Game Freak decides to be NORMAL this time, then I wonder how that'll fit in.

Currently I favor NEITHER because both are AMAZING from their looks because we know nothing else about them yet. I don't think I'll be able to choose between the two, that means I MUST have them both.

Well it wouldn't be the first time they've redone the idea for a pokemon, you just proved me by the showing two separate pokemon.

After seeing the new artwork for each of the legendaries on the CoroCoro cover, I think I'm liking Yveltal! That thing looks plain epic!~<3

To me these games are like ruby and sapphire (heres your remakes people) But anywho i think the Deer one is like a water/dark type an the other is maybe a fire/dark type just by looking at the main colors on them. But i remeber someone saying awhile back that if they wanted a remake of ruby and sapphire they wanted to see stuff like this from this game. (Like seeing the clouds and stuff)
