Am I the only one who notices that the ad misspelled meloetta?
Anyways, this makes me wish our Gamestop didn't shut down. Now I don't have a way to even do this event, unless I want to go to the next closest Gamestop...a couple hundred miles away. |

The Meloetta distribution has been confirmed for Australia and New Zealand in certain stores which are listed here. The distribution will be from March 4th to April 19th 2013.

The event begins for Canadians on March 9th (so don't freak out if EBGames/Gamestop doesn't have it on the 7th or something), though I understand it will begin around March 4th for Americans. I wasn't able to locate a start date for Australia though, so I suggest just making it over there before the end date.

Quite unfortunate that I live nowhere close to any of these places, huh? Sometimes I wish I could have all the events and keep them to myself
Just have to keep my hopes up for the possible eventual Wi-Fi event. |

First things first: I'm assuming that your phone is capable of and allowed by the carrier to tether. With that said...
Yes, if you're configured your Nintendo DS/3DS to use it beforehand. (Keep in mind that you might have to change the hotspot to use WEP if available if you do not have a DSi or newer model, or be forced to have the hotspot be open (do it ASAP if that is the case). |

You shouldn't need to worry about hot spots at all. Seeing as this isn't a WFC event, you should be able to head to the store, and use Mystery Gift. If in doubt, ask the store staff. (There should be an option to receive gifts within the same menu, which lets you to choose the method. In this case you want local wireless (NOT NWFC))
