My first Pokemon Card was a really, REALLY lucky one! From the FireRed/LeafGreen set... I pulled a CHARIZARD EX! It wasn't the first card I saw, but it was my first pack, and definately my favorite still. I brought that card to Bingo (Yes I know its a lame game but hell, It pays my bills.) for luck, and ended up winning $750 in two games. I played a few more and didn't win much more, but that was how I got my first apartment.. Luckily, after that pack, I got into Pokemon games, and STILL have that card. It is now worth alot (Or so I heard) and it is sitting in a Baseball case. It is in MINT CONDITION! Ah, Good Times!

I have a Charizard Ex FRLG, my friends were pretty mad about it but hey! Not my fault I chose the right pack and you didn't right? Actually... I have a few rare cards. Maybe I will post them all after I go through my single card cases.

Story Time!
Once upon a time, I lived in Italy. Burger King was giving away Telletubby toys in their Kids meals. This girl on my bus always brought cards. She said she would give me a fire energy card if I put on a show with the Telletubbies. I did. I still have that card today. All four corners are bent down and the card looks like crap. But it's still in my binder |

One day, back when I was in... fifth grade, I think... I decided to ask a friend of mine about the TCG, seeing as she brought a bunch of her cards to school that day.
When I showed some interest in collecting the cards, she game me a spare Sandshrew (Base Set) of hers to start me off. I still have that thing somewhere in my room. |

My first card was in a pack of Japanese ones from a store in a district in my city. The pack had things like Potion and all, but then it had a Japanese Holo Moltres, not the promo one, but the one with Divebomb or something like that, which took 80 damage, and required 4 Fire Energies. I still have it to this day even though I haven't collected in ages.

my first rarest card was a shiny mr.mime from the first set it came out in. I do believe it was the jungle set...? but after about 3-4 years the shiny part of the card came off. (i didnt take good care of my cards back then) but for my first first card was a pikachu from the 1st base set 1st edition. (with 12 other cards from the pack it was in)

has anyone ever like took one of your extra copys of a old pokemon card and drew on it or custom made a picture on it? For my evee card i made it a evee gold 5 and changed the letters of the attacks with ick attack (quick attack) and tail bag (tail wag) and colored it gold with a gold colored inked pen

Ahh~. Everyone bought packets. I didn't. .3.
Well, I didn't see much of my mum so she had no idea I'd fallen in love with Pokémon; but we were walking along the street, and there were cards flung across the road; clearly because someone had bought the pack, found the rares, and discarded all the commons they didn't need, which is fair enough. The only card I specifically remember was a Rhydon, from the Fossil set, which was later stolen from me. But still, those 5 or 6 cards turned into a collection of over 3,000 - which I then sold off, to collect 'properly'. ♥ |

My first card was a Magnemite. x3 I found it in class one day.
Oddly enough, the day I found it, a MILLION kids brought them to school, and trading commenced. Some kid actually wanted to trade me a Mr. Mime for my Magenemite, which I did. o3o He looked cooler to me. Believe it or not, I still have that very Mr. Mime in my deck. It may not be tournament-legal anymore, but c'mon, he's immune to any attacks that do more than thirty damage. D: AND THE EFFECTS OF THOSE ATTACKS Mr. Mime = Wall of Death |

ahhh, that takes me back. it was christmas morning of 2002. i was about half way through my stocking-stuffers when i found a note that said "look in the bathroom". i went into the bathroom, looked in the hamper, and sure enough, it was filled to the brim with cards. from packets to tins, they were everywhere. but the first one i saw, the very first one i held, was the japanese southern islands promotional mew, in mint condition.

My first card was a Base Set sparkly Charmeleon. I found it in my Older Brother's room, wedged between his wall and bed. Let me find a picture... http://pokemon.marriland.com/images/...charmeleon.jpg Yeah, that. But sparkly. All of it was sparkly but the Charmeleon picture itself. I still have it, and cherish it to this day. I have never used it in a deck though. Oh, me and my centimentality. If that's a word.

The first cards I got were an Eevee card, and a Combusken card. They were both in one of those little Pokemon Organized Play packs (or POP packs, as the guys at the league we used to go to called them) that the clerks at a gaming store gave us when we were looking for full-sized decks for me and my brother.
