Every now and then I break out my DS and play the first Code: Lyoko game. I've always been a fan of the series, so it's fun to play it. Unlike the Wii version and the second, sucktastic game, the first one is engaging and has a good storyline that details Seasons 1 and 2.
Unfortunately, I seem to be one of the few fans of the show in my school, so naturally not many others have played it. |

I myself like the original fallout game for the PC, the story is dynamic and the ability to do whatever you want makes it a great game, but i can't seem to find anybody who shares the same passion for it as i do. Another game that I like that not alot of people play is The Harvest Moon Series its a great "Break" game as i like to say, meaning like.....say you play Halo or something and it gets kinda boring so you take a break from it or games like that but overall the games are fun i like the fact that you can start a family in them.

I've brought this up multiple times on the forums...
Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss And it's sequel: Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of Worlds They're first-person RPG-like games with a medieval and mythical theme, in which you fight lots of different enemies, solve puzzles and win. I HIGHLY suggest you check them out. (By the way, they're now Abandonware) |

I know a couple of people here who played that. Sin & Punishment: Star Successor just came out, it's great. It somehow fixed a lot of problems compared to the first game although I wish there was a guide like in Super Mario Galaxy 2 or New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Even on Easy it's not easy. I feel bad that not a lot of people (besides Lite and me) know.

I believe I'm the only person in my County that has ever played Nostalgia. It's an RPG for the DS that's a lot like Final Fantasy, only more airships, no chocobos, and you play in the real world. Like, the Earth. And the plot revolves around lots of real national monuments and myths like Easter Island, Roman Mythology, Nirvana Palace, the Pyramid of Giza (the real one not the inflatable decoy) oh, and Asgard. But no Thor...

Another one I've got is Murumasa: The Demon Blade. It's a Japanese game about ninjas, and you go around sword-fighting with everything you see. It's art style is stunning, and the gameplay is amazing. Definitely worth a look.

lol, but Zelda from what I see, is more popular then Metroid and that's saying something. Zelda games are some of the most popular, the only thing that keeps them away is either because they have other games to play right now (like me) or they are too much of a wuss to handle and beat a entire Zelda game.

I also play a game I know NOBODY has heard of here, known as Shining Soul II. A wonderful multi-player Hack-n'-Slash RPG for the GBA. I have a love of them. Last edited by .name//Technomancer; July 17, 2010 at 02:10:25 AM. |

Hmm...Well, * knows Mario, Sonic, Kirby, and Pokemon are popular
Ah! Tales of Monkey Island, I bet you haven't heard of that. I don't know what to think if it's the most underrated/overrated game of all time. Last edited by Charizard98; July 16, 2010 at 07:36:48 PM. |

Burnout isn't THAT obscure, but it's better than the other ones.
Now then, here's a good model: If your game is in a franchise that appears on this list, it isn't obscure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ame_franchises Also, no recent stand-alones with lots of Fan-fare, like Spore, or Scribblenauts. So, actually, by my logic, Monkey Island IS an obscure game, as is Shining Soul and Ace Attorney. Last edited by Sableyed; July 16, 2010 at 10:58:00 PM. |

I know that Valve and most of their works are very popular in mainstream media, but I am amazed at the number of people my age who have never even heard of Half-Life or it's sequel.
Also, I once owned a game for the PC called Shining Soul II, but it seems to be a different game than the one for the GBA (or perhaps I'm simply recalling the name wrong). Whateverteh case, the game was a lot of fun, and I'm rather unhappy that I can't find it anymore. Also, although the Bomberman series is pretty well known there is one game for the PC called Atomic Bomberman that a lot of people don't seem to know. It's basic Bomberman action, but the characters actually shout the most absurd taunts at each other. It was hilarious. I'm also a fan of the Myst series. |

I just picked up these two new games called Lux-PaIn and Monster Rancher DS. Lux-PaIn is kind of like Ace Attorney In the sense of Gameplay, but you play as this Secret Detective Person named Atsuki Saijo who uses a special ability called Sigma to read people's thoughts and Emotions in forms called Shinen. I'm stuck on this one part where you have to find this Girl in a certain amount of time.

Monster Rancher Speaks for itself. |

It seems as if I'm the only one on the internet with Exitebots.
It's a racing game, but it's not your typical Kart, car, or plane driving. You race in a bot around some real-world courses, such as those themed in Canada, Fiji, ect. There are also these "?" switches that, when driven into, they can do stuff like changing the terrain to create a huge jump, make items appear, and if you grab a wrench (The bot has an arm it can use to grab items) your bot transforms so it gains legs. You're pretty much invincible, faster, and you send others flying when you kick them. And the twist is that it's not all about getting 1st place. You have to gain stars by doing various tricks, etc. to win. I feel like I've explained half the game, but it looks pretty rushed... |

I play the Suikoden series of RPGs. I started off with Tactics. It was pretty awesome.
I know someone (specifically my boyfriend) who beat Star Fox 64 with his FEET. No hands at all. I witnessed him doing this, as did his younger siblings. Not a very high score, but I've never heard of anyone else doing that. He tried it while on the phone with me twice before then, but only when I was there did he succeed. Red Orchestra. Basically it's a WWII game based mainly around the Eastern Front.(Soviet Front)
I like it because it's one of those games where you don't know your ammo count, Health or enemy location. It tries to go full out realistic so it is challenging. |

Technically this is what I play, but it's Sonic Riders (For Gamecube) instead. For some reason the controls may seem a bit odd at first, but it's not that bad once you get used to them, really (This is the main reason Sonic Riders games get pretty low ratings, isn't it?).

I agree that Rogue Squadron is an overlooked dogfighter (people drift to StarFox over it) but Fire Emblem as a franchise is by no means obscure- it's one of Nintendo's core RPG franchises. Last edited by LiteTheIronMan; April 4, 2011 at 08:03:15 AM. |

I've started playing a relatively new indie game called Magicka, which sees you as a wizard creating spells and clearing levels with a unique spell-casting system with hundreds of spell combinations (ARSE mines, anyone?). While it's not a really obscure game, not many people here play it, and if you don't play it go grab it from Steam; it's only Ł8!
