Source: Pokémon Sunday

New Pokémon Yanappu, the Grass Monkey Pokémon, was revealed on Pokémon Sunday today. Earlier hinted at by fake leaks and figurines, this Pokémon is finally confirmed to be in Pokémon versions Black and White.

Yanappu shall have the ability Gluttony and is a Grass-type. It weighs 10.5kg and has a height of 0.6m. It also knows a new move called Acrobat. In a triple battle, Acrobat shall be able to hit any opponent, and not just the Pokémon in it's user's normal range.

Well, it was a typo. A "Grass Money" Pokemon seems far out. :3

¡No me gustan monos! I've seen quite enough monkey pokemon already.
For some reason reveals always look weird to me, but then they look pretty cool when they're in the form of a sprite or in the anime.

Heh, the broccoli Pokémon. I'm guessing Acrobat, if it's a move, is a priority move (It also attacked first in the small clip of it). It'll be nice to see an evolution (Probably a giant monkey tree/Grass-type Infernape).

Why you be hatin' on Kurumiru? He's a pretty awesome caterpillar. Though I don't know why people are hatin' on Yanappu either.

Out of the four, my least favorite is Shikijika. Not bad, but I like the other three better.

Well...I'm just not into bugs. I'm not much into Paras or Parasect either. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't like them. Oh, BTW, I think Kurumiru is a silkworm.

EDIT: Upon closer examination, I'm starting to like Yanappu even more. Tsutaaja > Yanappu > Shikijika > Kurumiru

Tomorrow, Black Reservation is gonna evolved into New Vegas Reservation. No Desukan info, no support.

Also, wtf is with all of these cutesy Pokémon being introduced? Who is looking forward to using the first-stages rejects? I wanna see this Grass Monkey's evo before he's redeemed.

Fun fact: Desukan's the only Pokémon shown in the pre-release videos/scans who has only been seen from the back. Every single other one has been revealed.

Yanappu doesn't look like a Grass Chimchar, more like a Grass Monferno. I'll name it brocolli. I won't catch one, because more than one type in the same team doesn't work for me. (Unless its Lugia and a Psychic type, because Lugia should be WATER TYPE)

What about Denchura. And this guy looks like a Grass Monferno, not a grass chimchar... However, I think Acrobat could come in very useful.

I don't really know what to say about it except that it kinda reminds me with Aipom.
To be honest, I'm not particularly excited about it.

EDIT: Pokébeach states that Yanappu is probably going to be used by Dento, since he's a waiter and the Pokémon resembles a broccoli. Plus, Dento's hair is green in colour, and the background behind him in his Ken Sugimori artwork is green, too. This might mean that he is a Grass-type gym leader, though this is not confirmed yet.

It is just a normal Pokémon to me, I believe. If the evolution is the same as this one, then for sure, this won't be in my team.

The "what about Denchura" part means nothing does it. Denchura has only been shown from the back to. Anyway, why is everyone bumping this guy because he's another monkey? Did we bump Turtwig or Torkoal because they were another turtle/tortoise?

The reason they haven't revealed anything on Desukan, Techno, is because they're saving the best for last. ;]
And I LIKE cute pokemon! To quote Pokefan Derek (HGSS, route 39, pokegear conversation) : "Pokemon have to be cute, otherwise they're no good."

But, as for this monkey... No. Doesn't do it for me. I'm glad to see another grass-type mammal, but I'm not really a big fan of monkeys. Make it a grass-type kitty! Then you'd have my attention.

I have a feeling you're going to be the first man to marry a Desukan. For serious, I like Desukan too, but really. Sometimes you just take it too far >.<

Same here, though I do really like Mijumaru. Hopefully Mijumaru's final stage will look really cool like Cyndaquil and its Evolution line.

I imagine that there should be a few really cool Pokemon reviled once the game is released.

I think Nintendo got lazy creating Yanappu. It looks they take Aipom, change the tail and the arms, put minor designs, and stuck a broccoli on it's head.

this pokemon will never make it on my team unless it's evolutions:
a. Have Really high stats (in general)
b. look awsome

I don't see why people hate this guy. Yeah, he's cute. A lot of Pokemon are (possibly to lure girls into the franchise). But some Pokemon are tough-looking. He may look like Aipom, but this guy is another Pokemon. There are a lot of Pokemon that get bashed because of similarity (aka Chimchar getting bashed for the "Char" in his name and the "flame tail"). I will most definitely catch this Pokemon for the hey of it, but I'm not sure if I'll use it. (Not a huge Grass Pokemon fan.)
