It's very nice and organized. Much better than the first issue IMO.
The Game Corner is a nice addition too. Keep up the good work.

I like that the issue is more organize and the interview with Cat and the game corner is a nice touch. It's nice to get to know the Administrator a little more personally.

Edit: I am not sure if it's a great idea but since Pokemon Black and White is going to release on around March, the staffs and users who are active in the forum can submit any interesting/funny stories (and/or pictures) about relating to anticipating Black and White or what they did for the countdown until the release day for the next issue. Examples would be: Attending the Black and White tours, a funny event happens while you purchase the game at gamestop, a party was thrown for the game, etc. It would be hard to read and sort out stories to the newspaper, but it's a suggestion. Or maybe make a thread about it if it's easier.

I must admit I didn't think this was a very good idea to start with but it was a good read, and i enjoyed it a lot. Well done, look forward to next month.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be sure to bring it up with the other staff members when discussing next month's issue.

I liked the Game Corner and the interview with Cat. Keep up the great work!

I think a poll would be a great addition.

Not bad, but you have to wait. There are many things to be included that new sections should stay in queue.

It should be. It is easy to handle as well. We will see whether we can include this in the upcoming issue.

Just to clarify, what do you mean by a 'poll'? Do you mean the general polls which ask readers for their opinions about a certain topic/matter? Or do you mean the ones which ask for their opinion on the newsletter?

By reading other other newsletter on the internet, I think what he mean is like this:
Which is the best starter of Sinnoh?
Chimchar
Piplup
Turtwig

People will submit their opinion.

In response to the poll, maybe in the next issue you can post the results to the poll based on all the votes you received.

I agree with everyone else, the format was much better than the first issue.

We should have like, a Sunday papes funnies column.

By that I mean I'm trying to self-plug LtIM's PLL. Maybe if the staff likes one of the particular ones I released during the month before they could put it in there, or they could ask me to draw one for the paper specifically, etc.

I agree with you. We should use flipnotes for it.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean.

It doesn't sound a bad idea. We can include in a fun resort along with some comedy. But I think this has to wait a bit, since there are some plans that are already decided to be in the next issue.

To add to what Spirit said, there are various new additions planned for the newsletter as time goes on, so we can properly implement them when the time comes. One of the ideas already thrown around was having "featured" content from non-VN staff members on the forum, which LtIM's PLL would fall under. Having something specifically drawn for the newsletter is a possibility, but it could also just be randomly chosen along with other artwork around the forum, or via a submittion process, but the actual details haven't been fully decided on yet, hence why we can't just put PLL into it right away.

Since I've only used WordPress for a limited number of operations, I'm not sure what are the benefits of using it instead. Isn't the current layout appealing enough as it is?

To be frank the only real benefit is one of professionalism: while this is something that I think both KYA and myself would take interest in (professionalism), the actual gain to everybody besides us may be quite minute at best.

(This same thing applies to many of my other ticks with the newsletter, but, hey, live and let live )

I am not really sure. I am not a professional, and to be honest, it is A'bom who designs the format, not anyone of us. I prefer to keep the layout as it is for the sake of simplicity, for the time being.

Themas are very simple to make as well for it. and you can have all the issues together at one url like www.victoryroad.net/news or news.victoryroad.net

The comment by freez is 100% ture for me.

Whats nice is you edit just like a word editor. More creative control.
