- The official PS2 multi-tap from Sony, probably about $5
- A GameStop brand PS2 controller, about $8 In case people are wondering what a multi-tap is, it's a device that's much like a USB hub, in that it allows four or more wired controllers to be plugged using a single controller port. And there were some multi-taps (like the official Sony PS2 multi-tap) that allowed you to have multiple memory cards plugged in as well. Of course, this was before we had Bluetooth-enabled controllers and consoles that had more than two controller ports (i.e. Dreamcast, GameCube, and the original Xbox). Last edited by Seiji J. Asciiware Super Advantage joystick for Super NES + Red Dead Revolver (PS2) = $5 at a garage sale. I have yet to test the joystick to see if it works, and I have yet to try out RDR.
EDIT: Red Dead Revolver plays pretty well, although the disc does have a few scratches in it. The Super Advantage didn't work at first, but the issue was resolved by cleaning the connector. Last edited by Seiji J. Konokama; July 21, 2012 at 08:43:13 AM. |

Apple Magic Mouse. Actual retail price is around $70, but I bought mine off of my brother for $40. It's a pretty decent Bluetooth mouse, in my opinion, although I am still getting used to using it.

I got an Xbox 360 for free. My friend gave it to me after he bought the new Xbox 360 S (the redesigned model). It comes with: power supply, hybrid composite and component cable, 20 GB hardrive, and one wireless controller. It's the Xbox 360 Premium (20 GB, no HDMI). I don't own any 360 games yet but I'm currently borrowing some of his games.
Other than that I got: Xbox S controller- $2 Star Wars- The Force Unleashed 1 & 2 (Wii)- $5 Dead Rising- Chop Till You Drop (Wii)- $2 |

PlayStation (original) - $20
Gran Turismo - $10 Gran Turismo 2 - $7 Need for Speed: High Stakes - free due to buy 2 get 1 free deal, otherwise would have been $7 (also, you know your racing game is old when it has a Porsche 993 on the cover) Pretty good considering that I bought retail. I got a broken PlayStation Portable from a garage sale that needs a new disc drive but otherwise works fine, including four games: GTA: Liberty City Stories, Rock Band: Unplugged, FIFA Soccer, and Rainbow Six Vegas. I also picked up my reserved copy of New Super Mario Bros. 2 today.

I picked up some old game manuals (Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong 64, Super Smash Bros., Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and StarTropics), two Nintendo Power items (Issue 58 and a partial SMB2 strategy guide), and StarTropics itself (including the original submersible letter).

This is probably my first non-video-game purchase ever posted on VictoryRoad...
As a replacement for my shorted-out iHome headphones, I bought a pair of Sony MDR-MA100 studio monitor headphones for $30. My god, are they comfortable, even over my glasses, unlike the iHome headphones that pressed the earpieces against my face. And, they sound pretty darn nice, as well. |

I was able to buy a new PS2 console today from a neighborhood friend for only $20. I've been needing a new PS2 (as well as a new Wii) since both of them have disc reading errors. So at least now I can play some PS2 games I haven't been able to touch in months.

Bought an iPhone app called Modizer about a week ago, and basically it allows you to listen to all kinds of video game music in the console's native file format. Yep, that means you'll never have to convert a Sega Genesis .VGM file or a Nintendo .NSF file to MP3 again.
You can also play "music modules" from older computers like the Commodore Amiga, Commodore 64, and even the AdLib FM synthesizer, which is the predecessor to everyone's least favorite Microsoft GS Wavetable MIDI synthesizer. Speaking of which, you can even play MIDI files with Modizer. And if you know how to hack iPhone apps without jailbreaking, you can even use your own SoundFonts. It ran me only $2 on the iPhone/iPad App Store, and I strongly recommend it if you're into chiptunes and have an iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad. Last edited by Seiji J. A little over a week ago I went and bought Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (the Nintendo Selects version) for $20. I bought Ocarina of Time (for Gamecube) a long time ago and I had only recently started playing and became addicted, and I've now decided to seriously get into the LoZ series. Majora's Mask and Skyward sword are next on my list to by, but I'm definitely not getting Majora's Mask in-store.
Also awhile ago I bought a NES with about 10-15 games (which I will update with names later) for $20 at a garage sale. |
