Default Windows 8 Discussion

It's not out yet, but Microsoft has given a preview into what we can expect from Windows 8.

From Microsoft's YouTube Channel

What do you think so far. I think that the UI is a bit cluttered. Hopefully that can be adjusted to fit the user's preferences.

It's good to see that Microsoft has caught on again that it is important to continue releasing new products, or they'll have to continue supporting an old operating system for far longer than they would like to (XP).

Yeah, I've been following it a fair bit closer than previous ones. I personally like it, but there's another controversy among WPF and Silverlight developers: specifically, Microsoft has given indication that the platform may only support development on HTML5+JS. We'll see, it should be a pretty dramatic version if nothing else.
