Have you reserved your Windows 10 today?
Starting today, many people who are using Windows 7 or 8.1 computers should start seeing a funny icon in the notification area of their taskbars. Specifically, yet another Windows icon.
That's the upgrade reservation for Windows 10, and you'll have to reserve it, whatever it means, to apparently guarantee that you'll get it no matter what happens. I haven't seen it appear on my laptop, but they sure showed up in my parents' laptops, though. What about you guys? Refer to this Windows blog post for more information. |

If you want to reserve now, but you don't see the notification, try the batch file in the Dropbox link within this Microsoft Community thread. That's how I managed to get the reservation notification show up.

Another suggestion is to manually run Windows Update if you don't have your computer set to install updates automatically. When I ran it on my laptop, I got the notification.
