Default Last night's downtime

The downtime from 9 PM to midnight Pacific (midnight to 3 AM Eastern) was actually scheduled several days in advance by HiVelocity (physical relocation of the server rack to a new facility). It was my fault for failing to inform everyone of this happening. From now on, I'll pass along any of these messages I receive from the host. I apologize for not informing you.

Look there was no harm done, so it's okay, but it would be nice if you do inform us from now on out.

Does the relocation help us in any way? I'm curious to know if the forums are going to benefit due to that.

Here's what they had to say:

Oh so that's what it was. I was wondering why I was talking to Jad and all of a sudden dead site.

Buhhhhh.

So they moved their server to a new site and upgraded it?

You never were good at planning things in advance and informing people of them Cat ..... but we got more awesome hardware and no harm was done.

So we should be seeing more data thoroughput now? That should help a lot.

This was probably late enough so that quite a few members like me did not even notice it.

^ That.

I was probably asleep. At least it was late and not during a time of booming activity. =p

Theoretically, yes. We have a 10 Mbps line, though (no way can I afford anything more that that!).

I didn't notice the downtime at all. I was sleeping. It's alright though, it didn't have any harm since the forum doesn't change much except more data is put in.

I actually didn't notice it, despite my usual activity at that time.

I noticed it, mainly cause it was while I normally tend to log on. I was wondering why VR was down...

I briefly noticed it, but I was kinda on/off between waiting to respawn in TF2, so I didn't notice.
