That's because he did. In episode 63 of the first series, Battle for the Badge, or トキワジム!さいごのバッジ! (Tokiwa [Viridian] Gym! The Last Badge!), Giovanni battled Gary. His last Pokémon was Mewtwo, albeit in awesome armor. Obviously, Gary lost to this never-before-seen Pokémon. He leaves in frustration. The phone on Giovanni's desk rings calling him to deal with an accident, leaving Jessie, James and Meowth in charge of the Gym. Ash then goes in to see they are the temporary leaders, and beats them easily with Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pidgeotto, and Pikachu. Therefore, Mewtwo was technically in the episode.

There are people at my school who are like this about various things they're fans of, one to the point of my math teacher actually remarking on it, but I'm not uptight about people getting Pokémon-related things incorrect. I'll still facetiously tease someone who gets something wrong if I feel like it.

I do. I have to argue that takes about 15 minutes. I get mad at all my friends because they are never in date. Here's the latest one:
"Hey Tristan!" "Oh hi, Ethan! Did you hear about the new Pokemon games, Black and White?" "No. Never heard of it. You're lying." "No I'm not." "Yes you are." "NO I'M NOT NOW SHUT UP MOFO!" "NO! Now give me proof that the games have been released." "They haven't. They have been announced." "I thought you said they were released!" "I never said that!" "Yes you did!" "Grr. Lets go to my house and check." *goes to house* *pulls up Serebii* "See? I was right. Now go off somewhere else." "GRR. I hate you." For some reason it always ends with "I hate you" or something similar to that. In other words, I reply yes to the question. |

Depends on how they act. =w=
People that deny tiers bug me. They mostly do so, because there pokemon is either NU or uber. Playing favorites basically. It also bugs me when people arn't original and just leech off of smogon movesets. It makes trainers far to predictable. =w= |

I rushed from violet city to Ecruteak city to heal my Pokemon... then I forgot to save and turned off the power.... EDIT:Well, I'm not sure from what city to what city it was. I just forgot to save my game. Last edited by Quadcentruo; April 17, 2010 at 11:03:11 AM. |

I don't usually get mad when people get Pokemon facts wrong, if they're just silly (such as when my sister got a misprinted Latios card and soon half the school was shouting that "Lation is Latios's father!"), or aren't too significant. However, it did bug me when a classmate was playing a Pokemon MMORPG and asked what level Mankey evolved at, and some other kid answered that "half of them evolve at level 16". For some reason, this really bugged me and he wouldn't accept my correction even after I proved it.

Kinda like the Pokemon movie commercials, "Jirtina, and the sky warrior!" (Or at least that what it sounds like to me). Oh, so close.... |

I hate it when someone brags they can beat me just cause they claim I chose a "Sissy" starter (Chikorita)
It makes me want to punch them. But I refrain so I don't get in trouble. Last edited by Fubab_107; April 25, 2010 at 12:09:43 AM. |

I hate it when I mispronounce/misspell certain Pokemon's names.
Rayquaza, not Rayquayza, you stupid... *throws self off cliff* It's POE-KAY-MON not POE-KEY-MON. *chucks mother off cliff* I've had to correct my parents many an occasion for Pokeymon. |

Why hello,
Although there are few things that I find blatantly annoying, there is one thing. When people claim that they are not cheating, even if it is blatantly obvious that they did. As an example, when the opposing pokemon will regenerate to its full hp every turn, without any side effects, or when a direct, critical hit from a lv. 100 charizard's Fire Blast does but ten damage to a same level Meganium, I believe this to to obnoxious. Done ranting, -Pichu |

This is in my experience already the case for many younger Pokémon fans. Either they don't know about the first generation or refuse to acknowledge its existence. On the other side of the spectrum, some older fans refuse to acknowledge anything after the first or second generations. Thankfully, most people on this site respect all of the generations.

Quite frankly, what I hate the most about anything to do with the Pokemon Universe is losing to the computer. I'm not sure what it is, but for whatever reason losing to something that isn't a person just drives me up the wall.

Well, I generally get more annoyed when people say "Pokemans" and "Poke Monsters". It is pretty obvious.
In terms of pronunciation, I'm usually pretty lenient because many of them are odd or unexpected and I pronounce more than my share of them incorrectly. ^^; In terms of not liking losing to the computer, I've never really thought of it like that. It's always just been a challenge that I eventually would and do overcome. ^w^ If I hated losing against the computer, I would never manage to play in the Arcade for any length of time. :3 |

Just because I feel obligated to point out the whole idea of lines moving slower when you're waiting, time moving faster when you have fun, kettles not boiling because you're watching them...er...yeah.
Think of all the critical hits that saved your hide before you got to that battle! And all the stupid computer fails where...well, it failed utterly in terms of strategy. ...I HATE FEEBAS. =x= |

What kills me inside a little is getting critical hits when you don't need them.
Examples: -I'm trying to catch Gabite in Pt and a critical Crunch faints it -I'm in a tough trainer battle, after the trainer gets many critical hits that almost get me, I get a critical when their Pokemon is in low-yellow/red |
