Sounds fun! I'll join:
Name: Kashiwa Gender: Male Age: 14 Hometown: Anville Town Starter Pokémon: Snivy Personality: Kashiwa is a calm, reclusive young boy. He cares for nature and Pokemon, but at his worst he is irritable and even dangerous. He gets nervous around other people. Family and Friends: He has a fraternal twin sister named Sakura who is very rational and joyous at her best, but reckless and sulky at her worst. He has no friends in Anville Town, and his parents died. Back Story: Living in Anville Town all of his life, he hasn't had much contact with the outside world. His parents were both influencial business workers, so they often left Kashiwa and Sakura at home by themselves. His father bought him a Snivy egg on one of his business trips, which eventually hatched into a Snivy and became the family pet. Kashiwa's parents died when he was 8, in a train accident. Ever since then, Kashiwa has had a fear of trains. Finally, when he was 13, he ran away from home with Snivy, leaving a note for Sakura. Professor Juniper, who was in Anville Town for a visit, found Kashiwa and took him to Nuvema Town. Kashiwa has lived there with Professor Juniper ever since. He has kept contact with his sister, who is too frightened to leave their home to join Kashiwa. |

Hm, never been in a "Serious Roleplay". I suppose it's worth a try.
Name: Stu Gender: Male Age: 14 Hometown: LittleRoot Town Starter Pokémon: Seedot Personality: Stu is very optomistic, loves to explore, and is always ready for an adventure. He is very shy, though, and this is something he hopes to overcome in Unova. Family and Friends: Due to his shyness, he hasn't had alot of friends, but his best friend is a kid named Ben, who loves adventure, just like Stu. His Mom and Dad still live in LittleRoot Town. His Dad is ecxited for his son's new adventure, but his Mom is very worried about him. Back Story: He was born in LittleRoot. When in Littleroot, he barely interacted with Pokemon. However, on the few times he saw them, he was really interested in them. Prof. Birch loved Stu's adventurous persoanllity, and asked him to do a favor. His friend, Prof. Juniper, was looking for trainers to fill the Pokedex of Unova. She had already sent 3 trainers for this, but she needed one more. So, Prof. Birch asked Stu to go, and Stu told Birch he'd go to Unova and help Prof. Juniper. Stu got his things, and was about to go when Prof. Birch gave Stu his first Pokemon, a Seedot. Stu thanked him, said his goodbyes, and went to start his journey in Unova. |

I'll try and post as much as possible on this, because i'm addicted to Pokemon Black.
Name: Jakob Gender: Male Age: 12 Hometown: Not in Mistralton, in a house just north of it. Starter Pokémon: Litwick Personality: Very quiet and barely talks. When he gets angry he still doesn't mutter a word, but can be quite dangerous. Family and Friends: He has a Mom who lives in the same house as him but she is usually out somewhere, and she is best friends with Skyla. His father works far away in Black City, and he has no friends as he is hardly social. Back Story: Once, when he and his Mom went on a walk, he lost her and wondered to Celestial Tower. However, a wild Litwick helped get back home, and he kept the pokemon ever since. Now he thinks he's older, he wants to go on an adventure with just him and Litwick. Ooh, lucky me. I was looking through old posts and I found this. Lemme' kick this thing off
Name: Dell Gender: Male Age: 18 Picture:  Hometown: Battle Zone Starter Pokémon: Machoke Personality: He's very easygoing and Taoist in nature. He always rolls with punches and never lets setbacks get him down, or accomplishments inflate his ego. He likes to joke around with serious situations sometimes, but he means well and is just trying to lighten the mood. Like the rest of his family, he speaks in a Texan accent. Family and Friends: A full, functional family of a mother, father, and younger sister. Back Story: Dell's parents were people who helped set up the battle frontier, who got together and had a family. He lived in the survival area, like many residents, and was considered a prodigy at an early age. At the age of six, he caught a machoke by himself with a packful of self-modified ultra balls. He also played a big part in creating the mechanics for the battle factory, the light rigging in the Battle Arcade, and the elevators in the Battle tower. His machoke is his best friend and brings him heavy materials. While training with machoke, he became physically stronger, and machoke became more intelligent and passive, and prefers to use its hands for construction rather than destruction; to the point that it isn't very reliable in battle. I haven't really RPed much, but I'll give it a shot.
Name: Sean (Perfers to go by the nickname Ditto) Age: 18 Gender: Male Hometown: Canalave City Starter Pokémon: Riolu Personality: Normally Timid and Shy, he's quick to help anybody in need, and is always looking to make a new friend, despite his shy demeanor at school. When something doesn't roll right, he speaks his mind. He is also very intelligent and studious, and sometimes acts like a know-it-all without realizing it. He's also a natural leader, and arises to the occasion when no one steps up. He even steps up first sometimes. Family and Friends: A divorced mother and father, and an older sister that lives in Nimbasa City with her two children and her fiancé. Also has friends going on a journey to other regions. His girlfriend is staying behind in Canalave, wishing him a safe journey. Backstory: Sean, or Ditto, as his friends have dubbed him, has lived in Canalave City his whole life. He's gone to a normal school, not one that specialized in Pokémon education, though all of his electives, sans band, were Pokémon related, as most kids would have it. In his spare time, he was always found at the Library, studying the myths and legends of all the regions, even the far away Unova region, and just Pokémon in general. His closest friends joked around with him saying that with all the time he spends studying, he would have the DNA of every Pokémon memorized, hence the nickname "Ditto." He liked it, so it stuck. One day, a man named Riley came into the library, after training on Iron Island. He gave Ditto an egg, seeing the potential in him. The egg hatched soon after he graduated. It's at this time he decided that going abroad would be a good experience to learn about Unova's Pokémon, culture, and more importantly to him, legends. Even though the Riolu just hatched, Ditto and Riolu became fast friends. Ditto is still thinking of a nickname for it. They both decided that Riolu would hold an Everstone during the day, and an Expert Belt at night, delaying evolution until they felt it was ready. Name: Pisclin Gender: Male Age: 16 Hometown: Sunyshore Starter Pokemon: Tentacool Personality: Pisclin, despite the bright and relaxing hometown he comes from, is rather tense and anxious most of the time. It takes him a while to feel comfortable around people, but once he feels comfortable he is quite trusting in people. Pisclin makes most of his decisions based on logic, rather than emotional impulse. Pisclin also has a great interest in the world and is more than willing to move around. Etiquette is top priority for him. Family and Friends: Pisclin was an only child to his parents, but had plenty of friends in Sunyshore. Back Story: Pisclin's parents lived in Saffron City when Team Rocket took over the city, and fearing for their newborn child, fled to Sunyshore City where Pisclin's grandparents lived. Baby Pisclin and his parents lived in Sunyshore even after Team Rocket was booted out of the city, because the lifestyle of the city had grown on them. Pisclin proved to be a smart child from an early age, if not a bit anxious and nervous. Living by the sea gave Pisclin was always a bit nervous around the large ocean that bordered the city, but this anxiety eventually blossomed into a sort of respect and interest in the ocean. Pisclin received his first Pokemon during a Fishing Festival, where he bought a Tentacool from the ocean using all of his allowance. While initially tentative to raise his own Pokemon, especially one from the ocean, Pisclin and Tentacool bonded as they spent more time together, which made Pisclin more interested in the Pokemon of the world. Lite Kyler Male 16 Born in Mossdeep Starter Pokemon: Beldum Personality: Very rash and hasty. Not very mature for his age and tends to get on people's nerves with his loud and boisterous attitude. Has no sense of manners or formality and is very vulgar. In spite of this, Lite is also highly intelligent and in battle tends to think with strategy first, and doesn't like seeing his friends put in harm's way. Also, is unusually friendly and polite towards women- raised feminist. Family and Friends: Before she moved away to a different region, Lite dated a young woman named Tina for a brief period of time. Lite has an older brother named Darc who traveled the Hoenn region in an attempt to become the Pokemon Champion, but was beaten by Professor Birch's daughter, a girl named May. Lite's father works at Mossdeep City's Space Center, and his mother died due to illness when he was young. His other friends include (or included before they moved as well) Tina's brothers Matt and Chris. Backstory: Born and raised in Mossdeep, Lite grew up with an affinity for the sciences. He longed to explore parts unknown such as outer space and the depths of the sea floor. Lite also had a knack for interacting with mechanics and electronics- at the young age of 7 he designed the Mossdeep Gym's trap system; both the conveyors and the teleportation network. He was raised solely by his father, as his mother died a year or so after he was born. Lite had an older brother named Darc. When he was 12 and Lite was 8, Darc set off with a ferocious Pokemon he encountered while he was fishing, and attempted to conquer the Pokemon League. Lite heard news about him a year later- Darc had been defeated in a Pokemon battle by a prodigy from Littleroot Town. Darc returned to Mossdeep temporarily, only to leave again to train in another region. When Lite turned 10, a strange, well-dressed man with gray hair who lived next door gave him a Poke Ball with a Beldum inside. From that day forward he never saw the man again, but grew attached to the Beldum and Pokemon in general. He found out that the man was explorer Steven Stone, the former Champion of the Hoenn region, and dedicated his life to following in his footsteps. Lite would spend six more years in Mossdeep. While attending school, he befriended a girl named Tina and for a while they were in a steady relationship. Eventually, Lite and Tina began dating. Their minds, both very intellectual, and their hearts, in perfect tandem with Pokemon, made them a brilliant team, both in battle and in friendship. Unfortunately, Tina and her family moved away to a different region across the sea, and even though Lite and Tina kept in contact he missed her greatly. At the age of 16, Lite's father allowed him to set off and see the world on his own, confident in his son's abilities. Excited, Lite took a ship from the Lilycove City docks with Beldum by his side, eager to be like his role model Steven, to see his muse again, and to explore realms he didn't even know existed... As the ship anchors at the pier in Nuvema Town, people were rushing to get off the ship as one person watches, James, a young man from Goldenrod City in Johto, and his fellow Eevee were waiting to get off the ship, amazed and astounded of looking at the land before him, "Well Eevee, here we are." never being in a new country, but heard stories about Unova and how mysterious it was.
Finally leaving the ship finally having his feet on pier, looking forward to see other trainers if they came along in the ship. |

Kashiwa stood outside, breathing in the sweet Nuvema Town air. He looked towards the pier, hiding behind Professor Juniper. Concealed from view, he held his Snivy close to him, afraid of the incoming new trainers. They all seemed really smart in the ways of Pokemon, and he didn't want to get in their way.
"What's wrong, Kashiwa? See, there's new trainers here to make friends with," Professor Juniper told him. Kashiwa continued to hide behind her, nervous and afraid to introduce himself. "I don't need new friends..." Kashiwa muttered. "I don't want any..." Professor Juniper frowned, patted him on the head, and calmed him. "If you don't make new friends, how else are you going to get over your fears? I know it's hard to trust people again after what happened to your parents, but you have to move on, you understand?" Kashiwa pondered a moment, somberly nodded his head, and walked in front of Professor Juniper, unsure if he was prepared to meet his new friends... |

Dell and Machoke stepped off the boat uneasily. "Whew!" Dell exclaimed. "Solid ground at last! I was so dizzy in there, I could barely hold my lunch, let alone my tools." He scanned the crowd of trainers that came out of the boat. "Y'know, I was so sick, I didn't git a chance to meet anyone. How 'bout we go ahead and mingle, eh, Machoke?"
Machoke was carrying a bigger load than Dell, but he had no trouble. "Choke." he nodded. "Hold on, there, bud." Dell said. "I see an intres'tin sorta guy over yonder. That Pokemon he's got... looks like some kinda machine. We've seen that kinda Pokemon somewhere before, haven't we, Machoke? Yeah, over at the desert oasis. 'Twas a whole swarm of 'em one day. Footsteps. Rampant footsteps. People amongst the crowd deftly avoided a young man running along the edge of the ship, barreling down the pier alongside his Pokemon, Beldum, at high speeds.
"Step aside, coming through, outta the way-y-y-y-y~!" Lite tripped over the bridge at the edge of the pier and faceplanted into the dock. He lifted his head and saw the Nuvema Town Harbor in all its glory- the deep blue sea reflecting the sunlight like crystals, the busy crowds descending off the passenger liners... and said crowds staring at Lite making a fool of himself on the pier. Beldum floated onto the pier and hovered over Lite, with a bemused expression in its eye. "Oh, don't give me that look, you." Lite got up, brushed himself off, and picked up his bags. "Look at this, Warmachine! The Unova region! These bozo Trainers will have to reckon with the indomitable spirit and masculinity of Lite Kyler!" Lite pointed at the sky in a victory pose, and Beldum, in enthusiasm, likewise raised its arm in the air. "Now then. Every Trainer's journey starts with a Pokemon battle. Let's go look for some morons to pummel into the ground and assert our dominance over, Warmachine!" Beldum nodded (or, rather, floated up and down) in agreement, and the two bolted off the pier once again in search of opponent Trainers. *Ding dong*
A soothing female voice came over the speaker. "Welcome to the Unova region! We've arrived in Nuvema port. Please exit the ship and enjoy the wonderful Unova region!" it rang, in a sing song type of pattern. The hologram around Ditto faded as the Battle Disc ejected from the computer. "We're finally here, Riolu. The Unova region. That was a pretty long cruise too. It's no wonder most people come here by plane." The young adult and his Pokémon walked off the ship. "First things first though, buddy. We need to go the the Pokémon lab run by Professor Juniper. I don't know much about the Pokémon of the Unova region, so a Pokédex would help. That, and I need to know if she has any books on the legends here. All the ones at the Canalave Library were inadequate in information." They started off toward the lab, to notice a brash teen, giving what looked like a motivational speech to a small, floating blue Pokémon. "I wonder who that guy is..." Ditto muttered to Riolu, as they slowly approached the trainer. |

"...wonderful Unova region!" the PA chimed, and with that Pisclin headed out the door with Tentacool wrapped on his shoulders, tentacles around Pisclin's neck for support. Carrying a large suitcase, Pisclin anxiously wriggled his way through the crowds, trying not to lose anything of his. Finally slipping through the bustling crowds, Pisclin stumbled onto the docks of Nuvema Town, prideful of his first accomplishment in the Unova Region.
Pisclin admired the fantastic locale. The harbor looked much like that in Sunyshore; market stands, hoards of people boarding and disembarking from ships, but no Magikarp Swindlers to be seen anywhere. "Well! Standing around all day, won't get much done, surely there is a place we can buy a map of some sort..." drifted off, anxiously looking hither and thither in search of any kind of store. Finally admitting defeat, Pisclin defeatedly told his beloved partner, "Well... I'm sure we can get something in Nuvema Town, once we leave the port..." Tentacool gurgled in agreement, and Pisclin started jogging awkwardly towards town, trying to keep his suitcase from dragging, and constantly looking back and forth. Pisclin passed a disagreeable-looking trainer and his Beldum, barely even giving a second glance. |

Jakob and his mom stepped into Nuvema town. Litwick bounced steadily behind them.
"Look, it's busy here today, eh Jakob?" said his mother. "Mum... I thought we were going to see Dad..." he moaned. "Yes, but I needed to see Proffeser Juniper about some things. Now why don't you go and make some new friends?" Reluctantly, Jaokb and his Litwick walked towards the crowd of people. He stared at them, and the wierd pokemon they had. Dell noticed the guy trip and fall flat on his face, then shout something about beating up morons and dashing off. "Now, you hold up!" Dell shouted. "I wanna talk to you a minute!" He ran at full speed toward the guy, but he couldn't catch up in the crowd. "Slow... down...!" he huffed; Machoke keeping pace behind him. "Alright, Machoke" He muttered. "Execute plan 36." He then pulled a backpack out of his luggage. "..Choke?" Machoke asked, pointing at Dell."Yes, on me. I'll be fine. Now git goin'." Dell put on his go-goggles.
With hesitation, Machoke grabbed Dell and threw him in the general direction of the guy. Then Dell drew a string from the backpack and artificial wings lined with Fearow feathers grew out of it. Dell glided until his shadow was above the guy, and shouted, "You! Lemme see that pokemon ya got there!" |

Stu got off the boat and entered Nuvema town. "So, Seedot. We're finally in Unova." He looked around. He saw many trainers getting off of the boat, all with many different kinds of Pokemon.
"Wow, Seedot. Look at all of the Pokemon." No response. "...Seedot?" He looked around in a panic. He just took his first steps in Unova and he had already lost his first Pokemon! "Seedot? Seedot?!" But then he rememberd he put Seedot in his Pokeball to rest on the trip. "Come on out, Seedot!" There was a burst of red light and Seedot burst out. "Seedot!" Seedot cried out. Seedot blinked and looked around. "So what do you think, Seedot?" Seedot had a blank expression on his face. 'Must be jet-lagged,' thought Stu. "Let's go, Seedot! Out to start our adventure-," Then Stu realized he didn't know HOW to "start his adventure". "Um... Mabey we should ask someone for directions?" Stu said. Seedot nodded and they both went to get some help. |

Name: Ark Gender: Male Age: 14 Hometown: born in Mistralton City, but lives in Castelia City Starter Pokémon: Zorua Personality: Ark is a determined boy with a sense of strength that you can tell is there, but dormant until something enrages him. eg, friends getting hurt, pokemon abuse. Once the "animal" inside of him is awakened, his battle skills increase twofold and nothing except his friends can stop his destructive manner. Family and Friends: Ark's parents died in a plane crash, so he lives with his uncle. As for friends, he doesn't have many in Castelia City, but he hopes to make new ones from his adventures. Back Story: Before his parents died, Ark was a creative mind with something to say at all times. His parents would fly him to the Trainer School everyday on one of their Pokemon. One day, however, when Ark was only 12, his parents flew him to school and afterwards test-runned their plane to see if it could hold enough cargo for that day's trip. Something went horribly wrong. Something too grusome to describe happened and that grusome happening killed his parents. When Ark heard, he was devastated. From then on, he vowed not to speak except when necessary in memory of his parents. Because his parents had told him that should they die, he should live with his uncle in Castelia City. Not knowing where his uncle lived in Castelia, he went to the Poke Center and asked for his uncle. Luckily, his uncle was there asking the nurse to heal an injured Zorua he found in the middle of the street. After the Zorua was healed, all three of them went back to Ark's uncle's house. While Zorua rested, Ark's uncle asked Ark if he wanted Zorua. Ark hadn't foreseen that question but responded with a quiet and confident "Yes." For the next 2 years, Ark and Zorua became very close friends while opening up to each other at the same time. Ark, now 14 and open to talking, heard of a ship that was traveling to Nuvema Town in the Liberty Pier of Castelia. He asked his uncle if he could go and his uncle said that he could. Now Ark is in Nuvema with his Zorua and noticing many new Pokemon that he hadn't seen before, but he did notice Professor Juniper talking to a slightly older teenager with a floating blue Pokemon... Kashiwa saw all of the new trainers, but he dared not talk to them. He saw the energetic faces of all of the new trainers, and wished he could be that energetic without seeming strange. He couldn't ask Professor Juniper for help, as she was busy talking with the mom of the boy with a Litwick. He avoided the boy with the Beldum; he seemed a bit too energetic to become friends with. The others seemed eager to begin their adventure, but Kashiwa was aware that they seemed to know what they were doing. Except for one, but Kashiwa didn't know what he could do for him.
But Kashiwa had to steel his courage. He stiffened as he walked over to the boy with an Eevee, hoping he could make his first friend he had in years. A million thoughts rushed through his head: "Will he think I'm strange? What should I say? Should I say anything at all? Is what I'm doing just a huge mistake!?" |

Lite continued running in the general direction of a shy-looking boy with a grass-type Pokemon resembling a snake which he had never seen before. He wished to challenge the Trainer to a battle, intrigued by the unusual Pokemon of the Unova region. All of a sudden, Lite's pace screeched to a halt and he looked around him, his eyes cutting a clear gaze through the crowds around him. Beldum, floating behind him, stopped as well, sensing the same presence Lite had noticed.
"Warmachine? Ever get the feeling you're being watched? Like some sort of wack-job sees you and tries to approach you for a second...?" An abrupt yell broke Lite's train of thought. "You! Lemme see that Pok'mon ya got there!" A young, rugged-looking man around Lite's age (possibly only one or two years older) wearing goggles and what looked like artificial supplements for Pokemon wings was flying towards Lite at top speeds. A Machoke was standing a little ways beyond him, in a position that looked as though he had just thrown something heavy. Lite shook his head in embarrassment. "...Let me rephrase that, War. Ever get the feeling some dude got his Pokemon to throw himself at you just so he could talk to you?" Beldum shook itself no, and with an amused look in its eye, stiffened its body in preparation for an attack. Lite smiled- Warmachine was always in sync with Lite's mind and would make its own decisions without Lite even telling it anything- then pointed at the ridiculous man in the air, and yelled out: "Alright then, you wing-wearing moron! Me and Warmachine are ready and raring to take you on!" |

Ark clearly heard the call to battle and took Zorua over to watch what would happen. He saw the Snivy, acorn-like pokemon, and the Litwick trainers all come over to watch with him.

Pisclin hurried his pace away from the port, especially since after just turning around saw a bizarre young man gliding through the air towards a trainer and his Beldum. This kind of tomfoolery was nothing Pisclin wanted to get involved in, especially after just starting his adventure in Unova.
Pisclin and Tentacool arrived at the Pokemon Center, where they easily found a Town Map for sale. Upon purchasing the map, Pisclin's thoughts slowly began drifting to the commotion back at the pier. Pisclin was torn. "Well... finding a place to spend the night would be a good idea, since it already is rather late... then again I don't exactly have much to do here in Nuvema, since it is too late to start traveling out on Route 1." Thank heavens for that Town Map. "What do you say Tentacool, in the mood to head back and... socialize?" Tentacool buzzed in appreciation for Pisclin's change of heart, and leaving his suitcase at the Pokemon Center, Pisclin shivered and began heading back to the pier, perhaps to see if that aggressive fellow found a battle yet... |

As James looked around he saw a Litwick trainer walking towards him, and started walking towards him; as he went face to face with him, he didn't know what to say... but then James blurted out, "Hello, what's that Pokémon? Is that one of the many Pokémon that live in Unova?"

There was quite a crowd now among the rambunctious young man. People kept coming to him because of his loudness, and possibly his foreign Pokémon.
"On second thought Riolu, let's go see Prof. Juniper first." So they did. On his way there, he passed a trainer and his Tentacool. "I saw him at the Canalave Harbor," He pondered aloud to his Pokémon partner. "Maybe I'll catch up with him after our errands are done." As he approached the lab, it was apparent that she was outside. Knowing to be polite, he immediately extended a hand and introduced himself. "Ah, so you're Sean. Cynthia told me you were coming." How does she know Cynthia? he thought to himself. He always forgot the fact that she was the champion of the Sinnoh region, after seeing her so often in the library. "She said you have quite a head on your shoulders. I did have a Pokédex ready for you, on her request, actually." "Alright, thanks!" Ditto exclaimed with glee, as he happily accepted the gift. "Oh, there's one more thing if it's not too much to ask. Do you have any books on the Unova legends, and if you do, could I borrow one or two?" "Certainly!" She said with a smile. "Well, Riolu, that concludes our errands for today, and accounting for the time shift, it's still quite early. I say we find that other Sinnoh trainer we saw earlier." Riolu nodded in agreement. As Stu was getting ready to ask someone for directions, he heard a loud yell.
"You! Lemme see that Pokemon ya got there!" He and Seedot looked over and saw two trainers that looked like they were about to fight. Both of their pokemon were out. One Pokemon looked like a blue arm with an eye, and the other looked like a human. He was very confused. Why were they fighting? "Hey, mabey we can finally see what a Pokemon battle looks like-" Stu hesitated. Did he really want to see a pokemon battle? Then he realized he should see how a fight works, just incase he needed to fight to fill the Pokedex. 'But, even if I see one, how do I know TO battle? 'Stu thought. He saw two people already engaging a conversation. They both, too, had a pokemon. One looked like a- candle? And the other looked like a fox. Mabey they would know how a fight works? "C'mon, let's go talk to those guys over there," Stu said as he pointed to the location of the two guys. "Mabey they know how a pokemon battle works. Or better yet- what they heck is going on?" |

As Dell came to a landing, the mechanical pokemon started charging at him. "Whoa, Nelly!" He shouted, and brought up his hands in defense. The pokemon impacted at full force, and Dell was sent backward. However, the pokemon was in his well-trained and tempered grasp. After he slid about twenty feet back, his strength finally gave in and he toppled over on his back. "That's one buckin' Bronco ya got there, bud." He stated. "Too bad my Machoke don't like fightin' or we'd give ya a right fine battle."
Dell stood up and examined the pokemon. "Yeah, I've definitely seen this pokemon somewhere before. 'Twas back when I was about 12 years old. Now that I can see it up close, I can see all this complicated.... he trailed off. It's almost magic." |

Lite stood in awe as Warmachine Took Down the man in wings, sending him sprawling backwards. In shock, the man gripped Warmachine with his hands tightly, but as he plummeted down it shook itself from his grasp. "That's one buckin' Bronco ya got there, bud." Wing man got up and slapped his hands across his clothing. "Too bad my Machoke don't like fightin' or we'd give ya a right fine battle." Lite watched as Warmachine hovered over wing man with an almost all-seeing gaze. Wing man spoke again. "Yeah, I've definitely seen this pokemon somewhere before. 'Twas back when I was about 12 years old. Now that I can see it up close, I can see all this complicated.... It's almost magic." Lite grinned from ear to ear as Warmachine floated back to him. "I can tell you're impressed. This Beldum was given to me by the Champ of my home region. War and I have been pals for longer than I can remember! We're going to go and explore everywhere we can, fighting every good Trainer we come across! Once we've become the Champs of every region, it means we've seen it all! Someday, we'll even head straight to the moon itself!" Warmachine zoomed around Lite in glee. Lite lifted the wing man back up on his feet. He looked at him and his Machoke and said, "I'm gonna explore this town a bit more. Maybe if I see you again on my adventures in this place, you and that muscle-bound friend of yours would like to challenge me to a proper battle!" Lite shook wing man's hand and called to Warmachine, and he and it both ran off in the direction of the town's Pokemon Lab. Just as he reached the lab and was about to knock at the door, he realized something very important that he had forgotten... "Wait! Dang it! I forgot to look for that kid with the snake thing! Where'd he go!?" Lite asked himself in despair. Warmachine shook its head at Lite and pointed back in the opposite direction, where the crowd had begun to disperse after watching Lite and the wing man. "Mmrpghm. I'll leave it be for now..." Lite raised his hand and knocked at the door of the Pokemon Lab... |

Walking slowly down the paved roads towards the Nuvema Pier, Pisclin admired the sunset over the ocean. It really felt like he had just got here, and already it was becoming night! He didn't want to head to bed before some kind of action in Unova, though, so he kept on walking with Tentacool on shoulder.
Squinting in the distance, Pisclin saw a trainer with his Riolu, admiring his new Pokedex. Pisclin's blood boiled at the thought of this trainer having both a Pokedex AND an admirable Battle Disc that he had seen on the boat. "Ergh, a trainer with such hot commodities must be loaded with both intelligence and wealth. We can't let him know how envious we are of him though, Tentacool. We must be passive! As passive as possible! Isn't that right, Tentacool?" Tentacool gurgled in neutrality. Pisclin nonchalantly walked up to the mysterious trainer and his able-bodied looking Riolu, and awkwardly inquired, "Fantastic technology, where did you... get it?" "Professor Juniper!" Kashiwa called as he entered the lab. She looked disapprovingly, as all of the trainers were outside, conversing, talking about their Pokemon, and the battle that had took place between the two trainers.
"Why aren't you with everyone else? Didn't you make any friends?" Professor Juniper asked. Kashiwa shook his head and said, "No; like I said, I don't need any." Professor Juniper sighed. "You need to converse more..." Kashiwa shook his head again. "Anyways, I wanted to get ready for my adventure. I've got all of the equipment I need, so...I wanted to say goodbye..." Kashiwa suddenly ran into Professor Juniper's arms and cried. "K-Kashiwa, what's wrong?" Professor Juniper asked. Kashiwa hiccuped and cried and wouldn't let go of her lab coat. "I want a proper farewell this time..." Kashiwa said. "I didn't get a chance to ever say my proper farewells to my parents before the train wreck...I want to make sure something like this never happens again...ever..." Professor Juniper nodded and petted his hair. A sense of comfort fell over him, as he pulled away from her, wiped his tears away, and smiled. "I'm ready, Professor. May we see each other again soon. Thank you for everything." |

Dell walked into the lab where all the other trainers were. "Holy moly," he interjected. "That sure is a heckuva lotta pokemon. You'd best get used to batt'lin, bud." He smirked at Machoke. "We're gonna have some fun 'round here."
Machoke shrunk away timidly, and Dell wasn't amused. "Now, don't you start that with me. Ev'ryone 'round these parts and their pokemon love to battle. You still got them special moves we learned from that hermit guy?" "Choke..." Machoke reluctantly nodded. "Good. 'Cuz we're gonna need 'em. Brute strength don't cut it 'round here, so we gotta be prepared, got it? You remember them move combos we went over?" Machoke nodded again. "C'mon, let's practice 'em a little on those targets I made." Dell looked around and saw a woman who fit the description of Professor Juniper. "Pardon me, Miss." He said. It didn't take but maybe five minutes for Ditto and Riolu to find the trainer that they were seeking, as he came right up to them during their search.
"Fantastic technology, where did you... get it?" The trainer inquired. He could almost sense the nervousness in the trainer. He didn't quite know what he was talking about, because both his Pokédex and his Battle Disc case was safely satcheled and showing on the left side of his backpack. He decided to explain them both. "I got the Pokédex from Professor Juniper's lab. I'm sure she'd give you one, since you look to be an aspiring trainer yourself. As for the battle discs, I bought them in Canalave Harbor one day during market season. It's amazing what you can find there. But anyway, how rude of me not to introduce myself. My name's Sean, but everyone calls me Ditto, although that's a story for another time. I'm from Canalave. I saw you in the harbor the day we left, so I know you're from Sinnoh as well. "Um... hi, my name is Ark. Nice to meet you all," said one trainer with the darker fox Pokemon. "Hi. My name's Stu, and this is my Pokemon, Seedot." Seedot was still staring out into space. 'Still jetlaged?' I thought. "So, what are your guys' names?" I asked, looking at the other trainer with the light fox Pokemon. "Alright, Warmachine. Let's go inside." Lite knocked twice and opened the door to the Pokemon Lab.
He walked inside. A smorgasbord of Trainers, their Pokemon, and all sorts of lab and research equipment greeted him as he walked in the door. Computers displaying various ranges of data on Pokemon were being viewed by many laboratory assistants. In the middle of the small crowd were three people: Wing man, from earlier, a modestly attractive woman in a short skirt and lab coat, and the younger Trainer with the snake-like Grass Pokemon he had seen earlier. Lite waved at wing man, and greeted the Professor. "Hello, ma'am. My name's Lite Kyler. This is my partner Pokemon, Beldum, but its nickname is Warmachine. We were wondering if you could give us any information on our journey through Unova; we're not native and we wish to travel the region." Warmachine gave him an odd look- this was not his usual rambunctious behavior around other people and Trainers- but ignored it with a dismissive glance away. The woman smiled and offered her hand- Lite shook it. The younger Trainer shied away a bit- he had a slight running nose and it appeared he was crying, but drying his tears. Lite took note of this; this kid was obviously a novice Trainer and a bit of a nervous wreck. "Pleased to meet you, Lite. My name is Juniper. I'm a Pokemon Professor who studies the existence and history of Pokemon. I assume that since you came to my lab you are in need of a Pokedex? Which region do you hail from? I saw you and a few others at the docks earlier." Lite nodded. "Hello, then, Ms. Juniper. I'm from Hoenn. Born and raised on Mossdeep City." Juniper chuckled. "Ah. So you're not used to these different Pokemon you'll be seeing around these parts. Pokemon in the western part of this region are completely native to Unova- and you'll be primarily traveling along those areas." She pulled a small device from her lab coat pocket. It was a small red and black machine with a few buttons and a small screen. "This," Juniper said, "is the Unova Pokedex catalog. It'll automatically record data on any Pokemon you see or catch along your travels." Then, from the opposite pocket, she pulled out five small red and white balls with a button on their fronts. "As for these, well, I don't need to tell you what these are, Trainer. These will get you started on your journey." Lite gratefully accepted the gifts, and put the Pokedex in his jacket pocket while attaching the spare Poke Balls to his magnetic belt. "Thank you, Ms. Juniper. I'll be sure to take care of these." Then he addressed the young Trainer. "As for you... I saw you at the square. Your Pokemon is native to Unova, yeah? That thing looks pretty awesome. I want to see how well you and that snake fare against me and Warmachine in a proper battle with Trainers!" The boy's eyes widened, and Juniper smiled. "How about that! Kashiwa, this bright young man wants to challenge you in a Pokemon battle! Just the sort of thing to get you started on your adventure!" Juniper looked at Lite. "I've known Kashiwa since he was a small boy. He's very nervous around most other people. He'll be going off on an adventure with Pokemon and I wanted him to mingle outside and get to know those other Trainers, but he refused..." Lite grinned. "Ah! So you're gonna head out and travel too! I'm an explorer myself. Me and Warmachine are gonna head around this place and beat the Pokemon League! You're going to be heading out so you need to know your way around a Pokemon battle." Lite was forming an idea. And Warmachine knew it. They looked at each other, nodded- in Warmachine's case, floated up and down- and Lite said, "You don't seem to like other people very much, so here's incentive for you to win. If I beat you, you'll have to become my traveling companion! If you win, I'll leave you alone. Unless we see each other again during our adventure, since it's only proper etiquette for rival Trainers to greet each other in battle. So what do you say?" The boy's pupils grew faint, and his brow was moist with sweat. Lite examined him further. He was a very shy nervous child, who looked a little old for his age, but was still fairly shorter than both Lite and the professor. Wing man looked on from a ways off. Juniper patted the boy on his head and told him, "Kashiwa, this is your chance to make a new friend! And you're going to meet Trainers in your travels so you might as well experience a battle now. So how about it?" Kashiwa whimpered a bit, but he gathered courage, stepped around and in front of Juniper and opened his mouth to speak... "Ah! Excellent, Kashiwa, this will be your first battle! I'd love to see how your Snivy of yours fares off in battle!" Kashiwa nodded faintly. He'd never been in a Pokemon battle before, and he didn't really know what moves his Snivy knew. He held his own Pokedex up to his Snivy, and analyzed its moves. He then recalled that when his father came back on a business trip, he came back with some strange discs that he applied to Snivy and somehow inserted some sort of power into it. "Ivyivy...you sure about this?" Kashiwa asked Snivy. The Snivy smiled and nodded. "Ivyivy? Is that Snivy's nickname, Kashiwa?" Professor Juniper asked. Kashiwa suddenly noticed that he said his embarassing nickname for his Snivy. He blushed deeply red and whimpered a little. He looked up at Lite, and he was clearly amused by Kashiwa's uninspiring choice for a nickname, but he didn't seem to mind as long as he got a good battle. "Well, then, it's settled! I guess you two should head outside, where there's plenty of room to battle!" |

Pisclin realized that somebody this polite couldn't possibly be worth holding a grudge against, now matter how many groovy and desirable gadgets they had. Besides, this 'Ditto' fellow seemed like one of the more competent ones, especially since most of the other trainers that Pisclin had seen were either cosplaying as birds or falling over things and yelling. "I'm called Pisclin, and this is... well, Tentacool. We're from Sunyshore, actually, so going to Canalave itself was a bit of an adventure." A pause, since Pisclin was having trouble making small-talk, as is usually the case. "So... yes, a Pokedex. I didn't really think about it, but I suppose getting one would make sense. Before that though would you perhaps want to... battle?" Pisclin may have seemed generally harmless when asking this, but he knew his type match-ups, and a Fighting type Pokemon like Riolu stood no chance against a might Poison type! There are two things for certain: he adores pokemon he deems as cute, and self-glorifying people make him angry. Family and Friends: Father, mother, sister, and two brothers. Back Story: Adam has been raising pokemon since he was nine and has been to Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. His first pokemon, a charmander, died in a battle accident, and he blames himself for it. His casual way of speaking uses various descriptive and usually "formal" words, yet in an informal manner. He gains much respect for those who impress him. He also stands up for what he believes in, regardless of who he may to stand up to, though he refrains from being rash in his judgement in order to make the best decisions possible. He also has a tendency to plan ahead a lot, and as a result, can often predict what people say or think before they do so, if he knows them well enough. He enjoys battles thoroughly, especially when they are close ones, as it pushes him to his limits, and helps him grasp his level of strength compared to others. He has a strong sense of morality, and as such believes in "moral justice", as opposed to "absolute justice". He also is an avid reader, and enjoys learning as much as he can in order to understand the things around him. As a result, he tries to solve every mystery he can. Perhaps for this reason, Raines often just goes by the alias "Aura", unless he finds the need to formerly introduce himself, especially when conducting undercover research that his identity might compromise. Back Story:When Raines was a child, his mother would often tell him stories of various mythologies that helped to shape the Pokemon world. Raines was fascinated by this, and decided he would track down all the Legendary Pokemon he could fine to better understand the myths that they have created over time. His father, being a doctor, taught Raines not only about how to treat Pokemon, but how to bring out their full potential. He explained that Legendary Pokemon, in a way, are Pokemon that use their full potential constantly, and as a result, anyone can be "Legendary" in their own right. This lead Raines to believe in the idea that anyone could become great, even himself, which propelled his interest in both Legendary Pokemon and people alike. He received his Treecko from his father at the age of 10, but decided not to journey until he turned sixteen, so he could adequately prepare for the challenges ahead, and as a result, has been researching for the past six years. As James gets closer to the Lab he see's two young trainers one with a blue floating arm-like Pokémon and another with a snake-like Pokémon with arms. he avioded the confrontation and went inside the lab.
As soon as James walked into the Lab he seen Prof. Juniper. "Hello, I came here to see if I could get a Pokédex." Juniper looked at James "I'll get to it in a minute, but first watch these two as they will engage a battle soon." "Do you know them?" "Yes I know one of them very well, Kashiwa, that Snivy trainer-" "Snivy?, hmm I've seen a lot of Pokémon in my time, but never a Snivy before." Juniper chuckled a bit. "I'm sure that you're excited about being here aren't you?" "Yes'm, So you're going to watch these two?" "Actually, I see potential in that Lite Kyler boy over there, he seems like he's no pushover, no matter how you look at him." A crowd was forming. Excitement, tension, and electricity filled the air. Wing man, Juniper, and several other trainers were among the bystanders as more people gathered to watch Lite, who had recently broke out in a fight with a previous trainer, up against Kashiwa, the nervous boy who the crowd had never seen up till that day. Both trainers were standing outside Juniper's Pokemon Lab, preparing their Pokemon for the battle.
"Warmachine! We got this in the bag. All you need to do is strike without being struck yourself. Conserve health. Take Down's your best technique but it takes a lot outta you, so stick to your two other attacks and recover using Iron Defense." Lite whispered into the side of Beldum's head, where he assumed its ear would be anatomically. Beldum gave Lite a determined look, nodded in its own unique way, and then floated onward and stared down Kashiwa's Snivy. Lite heard Kashiwa muttering his own battle plan into Snivy's ear, and then finally a shout of "Go, Ivyivy, go!" and he, too, stepped out from his Trainer's shadow and looked Beldum into its lone eye. Ivyivy lunged at Warmachine ("Use Aerial Ace, Ivyivy!!") but Warmachine was more nimble and faster, dodging the attack and countering with Iron Head. The small Grass-type was sent sprawling backwards in a flinch. Lite pumped his fist in the air. "Nice shot, Warmachine! Keep up the pace!" Kashiwa was not so enthusiastic- Lite didn't expect him to be, with his friend, his partner, Snivy lying on the ground in pain. Kashiwa yelled another command at Snivy- "Ivyivy! Swagger!" Snivy got up and nodded. He performed a taunting action by batting his eyes and yelled some insults in the Pokemon tongue at Warmachine. Lite slowly watched as it threw what appeared to be a nervous tantrum, and attempted to use Zen Headbutt at its opponent... the ground. Warmachine recoiled in confusion. Lite's face became that of the look of anguish- with Warmachine confused, he could lose this fight easily! Kashiwa had a much more pleasant and cheery expression now. He yelled out another command. "Ivyivy, use Double Team now!!" Snivy nodded again, and began running circles around Warmachine. Lite observed in amazement as Snivy apparently began to create copies due to the sheer velocity he was running at. Warmachine, in its confusion, attacked one of the Snivy clones, but hitting only air. "Warmachine, snap out of it! You're only getting the fakes!" Eventually, after ducking around the Snivy-figments and hurting itself several times by attacking the pavement, a tired Warmachine snapped out of its confusion. Kashiwa gave Snivy a final order. With a hearty yell, he cried out to his Pokemon, "You've got it on the ropes, Ivyivy! Finish him with Aerial Ace!" Once again, the little snake got a running start and with his short claws lunged at Warmachine. Lite, in desperation, yelled out to it. "No! Warmachine!! Get him with another Zen Headbutt, quick!" Warmachine's fatigued body pumped up energy for one last move. It charged psychic energy in its head and rammed into Snivy, sending him once again spiraling down into the ground. This time, he was down for the count- the worn-out Grass-type had fainted. "No... Ivyivy... Get up, buddy!!" Kashiwa started sobbing a little. Lite couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor kid. He procured a Revive from his backpack and gave it to Kashiwa. "Look, kid." Lite began to speak to Kashiwa. "You and Ivyivy are one helluva fine team. You nearly had Warmachine there beat! I like that about you. You and him, you got an incredible amount of fighting spirit! And you have faith in Ivyivy. Faith in your Pokemon is the ultimate strength. Even if you lose every battle, if you have faith in your Pokemon, they'll have faith in you. Believe in the Ivyivy who believes in you, and you'll believe in yourself! That's what I think, anyway. Your fighting spirit and your faith in each other is all you need." Lite patted Kashiwa on the shoulder and helped him up. Kashiwa wiped his tears and used the Revive on his partner, and Ivyivy opened his eyes and got up as well, smiling at Kashiwa. Seeing this, Kashiwa returned the happy gesture and gave Ivyivy a hug. Warmachine, Lite, Juniper, and wing man all looked on in endearment. Then, Lite snapped his fingers and yelled, "But! You still have a lot to learn about Pokemon themselves. And I do too! We're going to set out together and explore Unova! Hopefully your partner and mine will grow and learn something. And hopefully we'll even conquer the Pokemon League, student and teacher alike!" Kashiwa looked up at Lite and whispered, "Student and teacher? What do you mean?" Lite flashed a wide smile and shouted, "What do you think I mean? I won! So that means you're my traveling partner now! You've got a lot to learn about the world and people and Pokemon! Even though you get along with your own just fine, and battle with your own just fine, there's still a lot more Pokemon out there waiting for you to meet 'em! And there's a lot more friends for the two of us to make!!" Lite pointed at the moon, barely clear in the late afternoon, with Warmachine also raising its body-arm and pointing. "Someday, my friend, you and I are going to see it all! Do it all! And we'll reach the moon itself!" Kashiwa looked on at Lite in a sort of dazed and confused expression, but eventually gathered himself together, grinned, and with a determined expression, pointed at the moon with Ivyivy and agreed, "Okay!! She usually prefers to listen to others talk, than actually talk about things herself. She always tries to think of others before herself, and tries to be as kind and polite as she can, but she's constantly afraid that the thinks that she says and does only makes people feel bad. Family and Friends: Her Mom, Dad, Brother, and two Sisters. Back Story: Eliana lived most of her life at home, helping her Mom with her three younger siblings while her Dad worked, drawing pictures for comic books. Although she's 14, she's only recently started her journey as a Pokemon Trainer, as her parents were very protective of her, and have only recently decided to let her travel on her own, though they were still quite reluctant to let her go. Professor Birch, who's a friend of Eliana's Mom, gave her a Mudkip, which she nicknamed "Maranda", so that she would be safe on the trip to Unova. Another friend, a regular at the Pokemon Day Care on Route 117, gave Eliana a Pokemon egg to take care of. With her new companion(s) in tow, she boarded the first ship to Unova, determined to do her best that she possibly can, in every way possible. |

After hearing, "So that means you're my traveling partner now!" Ark wanted to travel with someone else as well. He knew the Mistralton, Castelia and Straiton Cities, but he didn't know which other towns there were and wanted to be prepared with a friend. He remembered a boy named James with a Pokemon that looked slightly like Zorua. Ark went over and asked, "Did you see that battle? That got me thinking. Would you like to travel with me, James?"

James looked at Ark "Actually right now, I'm going to be traveling alone." As he was amazed at the battle he just seen.
"That boy, Lite Kyler, he isn't no pushover, but he does have heart too." James looked at Juniper. "So can I have the Pokédex now?" "Yes, you can have one, so many trainers today." "Yeah I think that those two are going to be good friends already." "You mean Lite and Kashiwa?" "Yes, I haven't seen something like that in years." James grabs his Pokédex and leaves the lab. "Well Eevee, I guess we go to Route 1, we're going to train a bit" Eevee did it's little cry and sat on James's shoulder as they walked towards the next route as night started to fall. "Um...so with these moves..." Kashiwa pondered, "I think I got a strategy to work on...as long as I can stick to it and not panic, I should be fine..." Kashiwa looked at the crowd watching him and Lite. He saw some people muttering and pointing at Kashiwa, and it made him rather nervous. Lite seemed rather confident, so he was certainly going to have a battle that would be a huge milestone in his life. He closed his eyes and did his usual habit:
"Mommy, Daddy...please watch me...I'll grow strong, and I'll follow in your footsteps. So please, watch. I'll make you two proud...". Kashiwa opened his eyes, knelt down, and whispered to Ivyivy his plan. Snivy nodded, and when he was done, he made his call: "Go, Ivyivy, go!" Snivy hopped into action, and looked into Beldum's lone eye. Kashiwa made the first call: "Use Aerial Ace, Ivyivy!" Ivyivy lunged towards the Beldum, but as Warmachine was incredibly speedy, it dodged the attack. Kashiwa backed in fear. "W-what!? How!? I thought you couldn't dodge an Aerial Ace attack! Kashiwa watched in horror as Warmachine counterattacked with Iron Head. Ivyivy's lightweight body was flung backwards into the air, crying in pain when it finally landed. Ivyivy slowly got up. "Ivyivy! Swagger!" Kahiwa shouted. With a confusion status set in, Kashiwa could easily gain the upper hand. Ivyivy started rolling its eyes and taunting Warmachine, who, in a fit of rage, fired itself using Zen Headbutt, only to hit the ground. Kashiwa had set Lite off balance; Kashiwa's confidence slowly grew. "Ivyivy, use Double Team now!!" Ivyivy spun with incredible speed, making mirages of itself. Warmachine had attempted an attack, hitting a fake. But Kashiwa noticed that Warmachine started to regain its composure. Before he thought he could lose his lead, Kashiwa shouted one more command: "You've got it on the ropes, Ivyivy! Finish him with Aerial Ace!" Ivyivy nodded, ran towards Warmachine, and his razor-sharp leaf tail began to slash the wind around him. But Lite had a last-ditch effort up his sleeve. "No! Warmachine!! Get him with another Zen Headbutt, quick!" Warmachine slowly got up and charged itself into Ivyivy. He was hit square in the stomach, in a manner so hard that Kashiwa could literally hear Ivyivy's air rushing out of its diaphragm. Ivyivy was sent backwards at a breakneck speed, and slammed into the ground. Kashiwa gazed in horror as the dust cleared; Ivyivy had fainted, Kashiwa lost. The crowd went totally wild. Lite was enjoying the fruits of his victory, but Kashiwa was absolutely devastated. "No... Ivyivy... Get up, buddy!!" Kashiwa felt his eyes, and he was crying. "No...how could this happen? I'm ashamed to be like this...after what I said...to my parents...I...still..." Kashiwa put up his head and saw a Revive coming his way. He caught it, and saw Lite walking to him, grinning. "Look, kid." Lite said to Kashiwa, "You and Ivyivy are one helluva fine team. You nearly had Warmachine there beat! I like that about you. You and him, you got an incredible amount of fighting spirit! And you have faith in Ivyivy. Faith in your Pokemon is the ultimate strength. Jakob spyed all the trainers battling and getting pokedex's. He looked at his Litwick. He was giving him a look that said "Let's go on an adventure too!" He walked over to the lab and said to his Mum, "M-mum, can I go on an... an a-adventure?"
But before his Mum could respond, Prof Juniper piped in. "Well, you can't go with no items! Do you even know your way around Unova?" "N-no..." "Here, take these," and with that, she handed Jakob a Town Map and a Pokedex. "Th-thank you" he said. He said goodbye and walked out the door, just as someone shouted: "Okay!! We're going on an adventure!!" It was a boy with a Snivy. "W-wow... nice pokemon" he said to him. He saw the boy with the... Eevee walking of to Route 1. "Hey! Wait up!" He almost tripped over Litwick trying to get to him. After he finally did, he said, out of breath, "I-I-I wa-want... phew... to learn m-more about that... Foxvee pokemon." |

Ark noticed the Trainer with the blue-jellyfish Pokemon and the blue-dog Trainer together and wondered, "maybe they will want to join me." So Ark went over and asked, "Would you like to join me throughout the region?"After the Trainers replied, Ark went to the Pokemon Lab to see Professor Juniper and also ask for a Pokedex.
"Heya Ark! How's your uncle holding up?" Juniper asked. "I haven't heard from him in a while, but i would guess that he's doing well." Ark replied. "That's good. Are you here for your Pokedex? If you are, then here you go. By the way do you have a Town Map and Poke Balls?" "Yes I have all of those, and thank you Professor. One last thing," "Hit me." "Do you think that that battle outside was a good one, or one that needs improvement?" Ark asked. "I thought that that was quite a well thought out battle, good techniques along with master planning. As James seen Jakob come up to him "I-I-I wa-want... phew... to learn m-more about that... Foxvee pokemon."
James looked at Jakob, "Nothing is going to stop you isn't it?" he chuckled a bit and turned around and started to walk to Route 1, "Look, I'm not going to be paying for lodgings in Nuvema, there aren't any Pokémon Centers here to shack up, so I'm going camping on Route 1. I have enough rations for six days for just one person, so if we split it in half We'll each have three days." Suddenly James's Eevee did another cry. "What's that Eevee? You want me to ask him?" Suddenly James turned around and put his hand on Jakob's shoulder, "Are you sure you want to join me? This road I'm taking isn't what a normal trainer does, I find that to be a weak path for any trainer to take." Then he looked at the direction of Lite Kyler and Kashiwa, "You see that trainer with that floating blue Pokémon?" Then James looked at his Pokédex, "It's called a Beldum, so rare even I haven't seen one before, the trainer has an ability that I haven't seen in a long time." Then James turned around and went to the direction of Route 1. "If you do come with me, make sure that you'll be able to keep up." And then James walked towards Route 1. Litwick gave him another look, one that said If-you-don't-make-any-friends-how-are-you-going-to-know-what-to-do-with-your-self. Then he hopped over to a bush to pick some berries. "F-fine... alright..." Jakob replied. "Hey! Come back! I'm not weak!" Suddenly, a Pidove swooped down, and attacked Litwick, stealing the berries he had picked. "And I can prove it!" "Maranda? Maranda? Where are you? It's time to get off the ship!"
Eliana moved around the ship, calling out to her Mudkip, Maranda, who had decided to explore the ship while they were at sea. The ship had arrived in port half an hour ago, but Eliana couldn't leave without finding her partner. She wrapped her arms a little tighter around the protective case holding her egg, and continued calling out to Maranda. As she climbed up to look for her on the deck, a security officer walked up to her. "Excuse me, miss," He said, "but you need to leave the ship now. We're about ready to head back for the Hoenn Region." "Yes, sir. I'm sorry, but my Mudkip is still on board. I don't know where she is." Eliana replied, shifting a bit nervously under the officer's gaze. "A Mudkip, you say? Do you mean, this Mudkip?" He asked, looking down towards his feet, where a small Mudkip stood at his heels. "Maranda!" Eliana cried happily. Maranda smiled up at her, and eagerly walked up to her, staying at her heels. "I found this little thing wandering the deck earlier. It seemed lost, so I waited to see if someone would come looking for it." He looked at Eliana sternly. "It's not a good idea to let a Pokemon as young as this one wander a ship by itself. It's too easy for them to be left behind." "Yes, sir. Thank you very much." Eliana said, inclining her head politely. She turned and ran down onto the docks, Maranda close at her heels. The docks were crowded with people, most of them seeming to be trainers, talking, laughing, and challenging one another to battles. Eliana supposed that this was typical trainer talk, and wondered if she would one day be talking the same way they did. She looked around a minute, then, seeing a building that matched Prof. Birch's description of the Pokemon Lab, she walked inside. Once she walked in, she spotted a woman in a lab coat, whom Eliana assumed was Professor Juniper. She walked up to her. "Excuse me, are you Professor Juniper?" She asked, a bit nervously. "I am. The woman said with a smile, "Can I help you?" Without a word, Eliana reached into her pocket, taking out a small envelope, with Prof. Juniper's name on the front. The Professor took it, and read the letter inside. "Ah, so you're name is 'Eliana'?" Prof. Juniper asked. Eliana nodded. "What a lovely name." She complimented, smiling. "Please, come with me." Professor Juniper led Eliana to a small table on the other side of the room. Laying on the table were a couple of Pokedexes, and a couple of groups of Poke Balls. "There have been a large amount of trainers here today." Prof. Juniper said, picking up on of the Pokedexes, and one of the groups of Poke Balls. She handed them to Eliana. "This is a Unova Pokedex. It will gather information on the Pokemon that you meet along the way. There are many Pokemon here in the Unova region that aren't found in the Hoenn region. And I don't think I need to explain what Poke Balls are." Eliana nodded and smiled. "Thank you, Professor Juniper." She thanked her, then, tucking her Pokedex into her jean pocket, and her Poke Balls into a pocket in her backpack, she waved to the Professor, and left the lab. "Shoot, Seedot, we've missied it!" Stu cried as they got to big house. It appered the battle was over, and everyone was gone. "Oh, well. You snooze, you loose." Stu said with a hint of dissapointment. "Mabey we can find this 'Professor Juniper' Prof. Birch was talking about.' "That would be me," siad a tall woman in a lab coat. "So you must be Stu." "Yes, yes I am," I responded."Prof Birch told that I should be receving a Pokedex from you?" Ah, yes let me go inside and get it for you," Prof. Juniper told Stu and left to go get the Pokedex. A few minutes later, she returned with a red and black machine. "This is the Pokedex. Each time you catch a Pokemon with a Pokeball it will automaticly regestier it," she explained. "Oh, ok. I said. "But, how do I catch a Pokemon with a Pokeball? "Ok, thank you, Professor!" I said "Anytime!" She responded Seedot and I then went off on our way. |

Adam finished looking under everything in his cabin to make sure he hadn't left anything behind. Ever since he'd left behind a small charizard figurine on a vacation when he was young, he was paranoid about leaving something behind. He lifted his backpack up and let it slide down onto his back, then knelt down and let his long-time partners, Espeon and Quilava, jump on to his shoulders. They were rather small for their species--about two feet tall instead of three.
"Alright, that looks like everything. Let's set off before we're kicked off." The doorknob began shining as Espeon opened the door for her trainer and shut it behind him once he was outside. "Looks like I was making a last check for longer than I thought." He said as he looked to the west. He felt a sudden swipe at his hip before turning to see a man dressed in medieval attire running off with his pachirisu and cradily. Rather than yell in a futile effort to stop the man, who was obviously a thief, Adam glanced to his left shoulder at the sun pokemon perched on it. "Make him hurt." The thief suddenly lifted about five inches off the deck of the ship before flying back in the direction he had come from, over Adam's head, and crash-landing on the other side of the ship. "Hold him down." The man's body went rigid as Adam closed in and knelt down, recovering the two pokeballs that had been stolen. "I don't know what things were like during the renaissance, but in this era it is illegal to steal other peoples' pokemon." |

Small interjection, please check the first post to see the colors used to show who is talking during dialogue sequences. I added this mostly for convenience, but do not fret! The colors you all have been using already are the ones you were assigned, so no changes will be needed. (except for RotomGuy, he uses bold Sienna now) Those can be referenced and used to make certain scenes easier to present.

As the Pidove flew past James's head, hey heard a commotion going on. "And I can prove it!" James turned around looking at the determination in Jakob's eyes.
"Well, let's see how you can handle this little obstacle" James carefully watched Jakob get ready to battle with the Pidove that attacked his Litwick. |

Raines yawned as he rubbed his eyes, having just woken up. He noticed his book, Myths of the Unova Region, was still open on his desk. It appeared he had been up all night reading again, and had overslept as a result. "Not again.....this is getting a bit ridiculous. What time is it.....?", he said, glancing at the clock on the wall. "Wait, 7:00?! This is bad....I'd better hurry.", Raines noted, frantically packing away all his things into his case and running out onto the deck. A vague figure soon became clear on the floor ahead of him, a man in strange attire on the floor, in pain, a glowing blue line surrounding his body. "That man's under the effects of Psychic. But who's doing this to him.....?", Raines thought to himself, as he looked up and saw that the cause was an Espeon, under the control of a trainer with a Quilava on his shoulder. "What're you doing? This man is in pain, stop your attack. That's no way to treat someone.", Raines chastised the trainer. "Yes, I agree.....that is no way to treat a fellow passenger. Especially one who belongs to Team Plasma. You will be punished severely for such a foolish blunder.", a voice echoed, as a man dressed in a formal robe appeared between Raines and the trainer, surrounded by more men dressed as the one on the deck floor. "Team Plasma? Could you be the organization I've read about? Perhaps this is worth further investigation. In any case, punishment isn't exactly what I would suggest. I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding, right?", Raines questioned the trainer. Before an answer could be given, the man in the robe declared "It is too late for talk of misunderstandings, let the punishment commence! You shall learn of the consequences for those who interfere with the subordinates of Gorm!", introducing himself in the process. All the men proceeded to send out six Poke Balls each, every one containing a Woobat. "Well, if there's no other choice, than I won't complain. But don't think for a moment that I'm a pushover.", Raines made clear, drawing a Repeat Ball from his waist. Let's go, Aron!, he yelled, sending the Hoenn-native Pokemon into battle.

"I'm just getting my pokemon back." Adam said as he stood up and moved his hair out of his face. Some old guy showed up out of nowhere, blabbering something about plasma and punishment. When six woobat were suddenly fluttering in front of him and an aron at the other trainer's feet, Adam rolled his eyes. "I'll handle this." He said as he sent pachirisu out of her pokeball. "Pachirisu, discharge." No more than five seconds later, all six of the woobat were floundering on the ground in a manner resembling an epileptic fit. Adam returned Pachirisu to her pokeball and smiled. "I'm glad I decided to bring you along instead of Lucario right now. Not that he couldn't have handled it. It's just more fun to wipe them all out in one fell swoop." |

Lite stared into wing man's eyes. His face was mostly red and gray with suntan and dirt, except around his eyes where he wore his goggles. Lite could see that he and his Pokemon were hard workers and very determined people.
Lite shook his head. "Sorry, bro, but I respectfully decline. It's getting really late into the day and I still have things to do before this kid and I get started on our adventure tomorrow. But, I'll leave you an open offer. You and I are rivals from here on out! Next time we see each other, we'll each have one Gym Badge. Maybe then your Machoke and my Warmachine can duke it out!" As he did previously, he shook wing man's hand, but this time Lite left him something in his palm. "This is my PokeNav number. Leave me a message if you're ever in the area and rarin' for a fight!" Lite then turned to Kashiwa and Juniper. In the interval, several Trainers had come and gone by the crowd, and Juniper had given them all maps and PokeDexes so they could begin their journey. Lite approached Juniper and said to her, "I'm going to head out to look for a place to spend the night. Please take care of Kashiwa and make sure he's ready in the morning. I'll be back tomorrow when I'm ready and done." He then looked down at Kashiwa and grinned. "Remember, kiddo, tomorrow's the big day! We're gonna set out and see the world!!" Lite patted Kashiwa on the head, spun around, and began to walk away. "Hold it!" Juniper ran up to Lite and stopped him before he left. "Excuse me?" "Here." She held out a map in front of her, beckoning for Lite to take it. He grabbed it and laid it flat- it was a full map of Unova! "I've been giving these out to Trainers all day, but I forgot to give you one myself. Kashiwa has one of his own but you'll still need one too, correct?" Lite smiled and nodded. "Yes, Ms. Juniper. Thank you very much. Now I must go." Lite resumed walking in the general direction of the Pokemon Center. Outside the Pokemon Center, he witnessed two Trainers around his age, if not older, in a conversation. One had a Tentacool wrapped around his neck (An odd place to keep a Pokemon, Lite though to himself.) and another had a small bipedal dog-like Pokemon standing next to him. There was a small crowd forming around them- apparently one had challenged the other to a Pokemon battle, but Lite was too tired and cold to watch them duke it out. "I swear I've seen those two before, though. Maybe on the ship? Eh whatever." Lite walked into the Pokemon Center and stepped up to the Nurse at the reception counter and asked her, "Ma'am, does this Pokemon Center have a hotel service? And if so are there any vacancies?" The Nurse nodded. "As a matter of fact, yes. Due to all the Trainers coming in from the boat, we've opened up some of our rooms as temporary hotel rooms for you all. By the way, would you like us to heal your Pokemon? It's a free service, as is the hotel stay!" Lite said, "Thank you. That would be nice." He directed Warmachine to the Nurse, and it floated down onto the rest station as it began healing itself. With a worn but content look in its eye, it hovered back over to Lite. "Thank you again. Now can you direct me to the room I'll be staying in?" The Nurse handed him a key. "Second floor, third door on the right." Lite took the key and walked up the stairs adjacent to the reception desk, found his room, and opened the door. It was a small room with a somewhat uncomfortable looking bed and a TV. He set his bags down on the bed and pulled out his PokeNav from his jacket pocket. Lite scrolled through the registry and hit a name- PkMn Trainer Tina Aino Strategy: Outwit my foes! Trainer's Pokemon: The Skitty I grew up with as a child. Self-Introduction: I live in a city in the region of Unova now, but I'm native to Hoenn. Lite dialed Tina's number. The phone rang a few times, and then a click. "Hello?" "Tina! It's me, Lite! How've you been? I miss you." "I miss you too. I'm fine. City life is very busy. Where are you? It sounds sort of noisy..." "I wanted to surprise you so I didn't tell you where I was headed. Tina, I made it to Unova! I'm going to be traveling with a new friend I made and I'm going to come see you." "Oh wow! That's awesome! So we're both full-fledged Trainers now! Who are you going with?" "There's this kid I met who's got a lot of fighting spirit, but he's very shy and new to people and Pokemon. I'm going to show him the ropes and put him through his paces a bit." "You don't exactly know the ropes yourself." "Ahh, I'll figure it out. Anyways, I need to go to bed now. I'll see you in a few days. Love you. Night." "Okay, night then. Love you too." *click* Lite sighed and smiled, sitting down on the bed. Warmachine looked at him curiously. "It's a people thing. You wouldn't understand. Not for a while anyway." Warmachine shrugged- or it looked like it did; its arm moved up and down in a "shrugging" fashion- and recalled itself to its PokeBall. Lite rolled over in the bed and went to sleep. Ark's Zorua had suffered seasickness from the boat over, so he went to the the Poke Center. Ark had heard that the Poke Center was temporarily using rooms as hotel rooms and asked if they had any remaining.
"Why, yes we do! Would you like any room or do you have any certain requirements?" "Just any room with a window, please? My Zorua likes to look outside from time to time back in my old room." "Okay, first floor, fifth door on the left." "Thank you." Ark went to the room and sat on the bed inside. He called his uncle on the Xtransciever that he got from him. "Hello?" Hi, Uncle. It's Ark." "Oh! How are you? Did everything go well?" "Yes, everything is fine, although not many people want to travel with me." "Well, I'm sure you'll meet plenty of friends along the road." "Thanks Uncle." "No problem. Have a fun time, too." Then Ark's uncle hung up the Xtransciever. "Well, good night Zorua." Zorua replied with a reassuring nudge in the ankle. "...though would you perhaps want to... battle?" Pisclin asked. Ditto was a bit unsure how to respond. After all, he had only just arrived in Unova! However, after a confident nudge from Riolu, who was raring to prove himself, Ditto responded. "Sure, why not? This could be fun." Pisclin was brimming with so much mirth he was having trouble containing himself! This Tentacool of his was no AVERAGE Tentacool. It knew a special egg move, Acupressure! This Ditto fellow was going to have trouble keeping up with his able-bodied Tentacool! "Oooh this is great, it really is. I hope that Riolu of yours is prepared for the might that is Tentacool!" Pisclin found himself getting louder and louder, which was catching the attention of the surrounding trainers and merchants. Soon, a battle area had formed, with spectators circling around providing a place for the two blue Pokemon to do battle. "All right, then." Ditto coolly said. Pisclin's blood was boiling at this point! Ditto is far too calm and collected, especially for such an exciting battle moment. "All right then, no more talk! Tentacool, show off your one-of-a-kind ACUPRESSURE!" The crowd oo'ed and ahh'd as Tentacool pressed its temples tightly, giving the tentacled Pokemon new found Speed! Pisclin cheered with glee at his fortune. "Hmmm..." Ditto pondered. "Acupressure on a Tentacool, how interesting. Riolu, Force Palm!" "Pffftcchchchhfffttt Force Palm? On a Poison-type? You seem to be a bit confu-" Pisclin's speech was cut off by the slapping sound that resonated after Tentacool was palmed by the agile Riolu, and wouldn't you know it, Tentacool had been paralyzed! The crowd went in an uproar of passion and enthusiasm over such a wise move choice! Pisclin was dumbfounded! Ditto smiled to himself. "Well... that's ok! Two can play at that game! Tentacool, Bubblebeam!" As much as the creature wanted to, Tentacool lay helpless on the ground gripped with the fierce paralysis it was left to deal with! It gurgled hopelessly. "Riolu, another Force Palm." Tentacool lay flopped on the ground, a sitting Ducklett. However, right as Riolu was about to make contact, Tentacool splashed to the side, avoiding the attack beautifully, leaving Riolu crashing into the ground! The crowd erupted at the quick-thinking of the disadvantaged Pokemon, and Pisclin brimmed with pride at his well-trained Pokemon! "Yes, you seem to be ready Tentacool! Now, Bubblebeam fury!" A barrage of fierce bubbles shot out from the Pokemon's mouth, shattering and bursting on Ditto's Rioulu. "Yes, we can do this! We are not done in yet!" "...Thunderpunch Riolu." The crowd gasped at this change in the match, Pisclin especially. Riolu sprang from the ground and smashed Tentacool's floppy body with its electrified fist! Tentacool did not stand a chance, and flew into the air, and then back on to the ground, limp and defeated. Pisclin was speechless, but the crowd was not. Cheering and bursting with emotion, Ditto was swarmed by new fans. One of which was Pisclin himself. Shaking his hand vigorously, Pisclin announced to Ditto that was the best battle he had in a while and that they had to do this again sometime. "You call that a Fighting-type? What you got there MUST be an Electric-type based on how it was dealing with Tentacool. Yep... paralysis and electric moves all over the place. That was... quite fun." The thrill of the battle began wearing off, and Pisclin soon found himself going back to his more relaxed demeanor. "Thank you, you were not bad yourself. I expect Tentacool will be able to make use of a move like Acupressure in the future, especially when it is not at a type disadvantage." Pisclin was left feeling invigorated by the battle, as was Ditto. Slowly the crowd began to disperse, and Pisclin said to Ditto, ""Oh yes... that Pokedex. As Pilscin left, Ditto found himself just the way he had come here, alone with his Riolu. "Let's head to the Pokémon Center and see if we can't book a room."
The duo headed off toward the Pokémon Center, and booked in a room. Luckily, due to the ship that had just come, all the rooms were free for the night. Ditto decided to hang out in the lobby, getting up and going to grab 10 Pokéballs from time to time from the Pokémart located in the health facility/hotel, so he could get those fancy Premier balls. "Convinient. The Centers in Sinnoh should do this." He sat down on one of the comfy couches, as his Riolu slumped against his arm and fell asleep. He got out the book he had acquired from Prof. Juniper, and started to read about the White Yin and Black Yang, the "Musketeers" and other Legends of the Unova region. From time to time, he would glance up at the passing trainers. Not much happened. Trainers from the ship would come and go. No one seemed to approach the young man, reading on the couch. Eventually, Riolu woke up again. It was here that he remembered that Riolu got slightly damaged in battle. Riolu didn't like letting on that it was hurt, but he yelped a bit as he stretched. "Oh jeez, little dude. Lemme take you up to Nurse Joy. I'm gonna go up to my room for the night, seeing as no one approached me. I'll have her bring you up when you're done with treatment." "It's been such a long day...I bet Lite's asleep already. I bet he's thinking that I'm asleep too...but I can't. It's not anticipation...it's not worry, or even just being plain awake. What is this feeling I'm feeling? I know I've felt this feeling before..." Kashiw lay awake, eyes wide open, body sprawled out like a rug. Ivyivy was sleeping, but whenever Kashiwa rustled in his bed, Ivyivy would awake, groan, and fall asleep again. Kashiwa continued to contemplate his lack of sleep.
"It's not because I'm too tired to sleep? No, that's impossible. But what else can it be? It's not fear, sadness, anger, or anything...but what is this feeling!?Arrgh, it's tearing me up inside!" Kashiwa punched his pillow. Ivyivy woke up again and made an annoyed grunting sound. Kashiwa climbed out of bed and patted Ivyivy, apologizing. Ivyivy stretched and went back to sleeping. Kashiwa decided he need to take a little walk, so he put on his street clothes, wore a jacket, and creeped outside. The floor creaked with each step he made, but luckily the commotion didn't wake anyone. The moon was full and bright in the black, starlit sky. It store down like an eye in the sky, watching over its sleeping subjects. But one subject walked down a path, alone, and cold. It was a feeling of solitude that enveloped this one subject, and it was a feeling that he knew all too well. Kashiwa planted himself on the dock, and gazed out at the open sea. He lay down on the dock, and looked up at the stars. He saw each and every star glitter with a unique radiance, like a bunch of pinholes poked into a lustrous black velvet. "Mommy, Daddy...can you hear me? It's been so long since I've seen your faces...I would give anything in the world to see you again." Kashiwa whispered. What's it like up there? Being locked outside this world...being forever trapped behind this sky...I would imagine it's torture, being away from us. I guess you could say it's torture for me too." Kashiwa paused for a moment. He rubbed his eyes and looked up again. It's been a long time since...since we've had a long conversation like this...right? I used to do this back when I was in Anville Town, even though I couldn't hear anything you two said, though Sakura said she could, but...for some reason...even though I'm out of my hometown...I feel...closer, this time. Maybe...it's the stars. I have a little pinprick hole to speak to you both in. It's...it's nice to finally get this close after so long. I wanted to speak to you two more...but with what's been going on, recently...I just couldn't find any time." Kashiwa continued to stare at the sky. Same flickering of stars, and the moon still stared down at him, brightly lighting the town. "Mommy? Daddy? Are you listening? You...haven't said anything. I know that Sakura heard you speak...she told me so...when she went through this phase...so why aren't you saying anything? Could you give me a sign?" Silence. "Please?" More silence. Even the wind seemed to cease. "P-please...!" Kashiwa pleaded. He began to cry, but he wiped his tears away, stood up and shouted: "Why!? So you guys can speak to Sakura, but not me!? Am I really that much of a nuisance to you two!? Then fine! I won't speak to you two anymore! I won't speak to you two as long as I live! I...I...I HATE YOU BOTH!" Kashiwa stomped the ground, and ran back into the lab. He didn't care whether or not he made a racket anymore, so he dashed past Professor Juniper. She opened her eyes, looked behind her, didn't see anything, and just assumed that it was the wind. Back in his room, Kashiwa again attempted to get some sleep. Ivyivy woke up when Kashiwa ran back in, but went back to sleep when he realized that it was not a thing that he could help in. Kashiwa's tear-stained face lay into the pillow. It was only then that Kashiwa realized what his unknown feeling was. It was heart-emptiness. One that comes from having little left to hold close to his heart. There was Ivyivy, but he only filled a bit of his heart's void. Same with Sakura, but she was so far away. And the part of his void that he filled with the hope that his parents heard everything he said had just crumbled to dust. "I guess...it'll be a while before it heals..." Kashiwa whispered, his eyes closing to the need to sleep. "But it will...my void...that exists in my heart...it will need to be filled by...Lite Kyler." |

Once Eliana was outside the Pokemon Lab, she looked around her, trying to decide what to do. It was getting late, and she'd promised her Mom that she'd call her once she reached town. Unfortunately, she couldn't see a public phone anywhere.
"Maybe the Pokemon Center has one I could use..." She muttered to herself. She turned to head in the direction of the Pokemon Center, when she stopped. Something didn't seem right. She felt like something was missing. Like she'd forgotten something... "Maranda, does it look like I'm missing something?" She asked her partner, who was standing quietly at her heels. Maranda looked up at her, then suddenly started jumping up and down, beckoning to Eliana's arms. At first, Eliana though that Maranda was asking to be carried, then, she realized what it was that she'd forgotten. "Oh, crap... I forgot the Egg!" She turned to Maranda again. "Did I have the Egg when I found you?" She asked. Maranda shook her head. "It must still be on the ship, then. C'mon!" Together, Eliana and her partner ran towards the ship, which was, thankfully, still docked. Eliana was panicking, muttering to herself. "Ooh... Ooooh.... How could I do this... My first day, and I've already forgotten something important... Ooh, Michelle is going to kill me..." She ran up the gangplank, Maranda right next to her. She looked around her quickly. No where on the deck... She backtracked, following the Route she took trying to find the little Mudkip earlier. Finally, she found the Egg, still within it's protective case, on a small table within an empty room. "Oh, thank goodness!" Eliana sighed, picking up the Egg and holding it tightly in her arms. Maranda looked at her calmly, though she also seemed glad that the Egg was safe. Eliana turned to go back ashore, and see if the Pokemon center had a phone she could use, but something caught her eye. It seemed like there was some sort of electric attack coming from not too far away. Her curiosity overpowered her nervousness, and she went to see what it was. She saw two trainers, one about two or three years older than she was, though it was hard to tell from the back, and another that seemed to be an adult, but, again, it was hard to tell. There were also people that were dressed like they were from medieval times: Two almost like knights, and a man in a more formal-looking robe. The electric attack was coming from the older trainer's Pachirisu, and it appeared to be attacking about six Pokemon that Eliana had never seen before, but she didn't think to reach for her Pokedex to look. She just stood there, a couple of feet behind the trainers, watching silently. |

"That boy.....he didn't even give them a chance to attack. His skill is out of the ordinary. And then there's that other one.....he seemed to recognize our name. We'll have to be extra careful of him. If he were to discover too much about us, it could interfere with our King's plans.....", Gorm thought to himself. "It appears we underestimated you, though, but you're far from out of harm's way.....in fact, the worst has yet to come.". Gorm assured the two boys, with Eliana hearing the entire thing, unbeknown to both the two boys and Team Plasma. "You two will never see the light of day. We have already rigged the engine room of this vessel with explosives which will take the entire ship with it. You haven't the faintest hope of escape, the explosion will occur within the next 10 seconds.", Gorm informed the two, Eliana gasping to herself as she looked on, Adam and Raines' eyes widening. "This is bad.....", Raines noted to himself, when something caught his eye. The lights from the homes near the port were reflecting off a glass case held by a young girl standing not too far away. "No time to lose, it's now or never-!", Raines thought to himself, grabbing the arm of the boy who had just battled alongside him, and dragging him towards the girl. One of the men surrounding Gorm released a Ralts from a Poke Ball, which promptly used Teleport, all the strangely dressed figures vanishing instantly. "I know this is sudden, but just get ready, okay?", Raines said, as he fumbled quickly for a Poke Ball on his waist, having returned Aron to it's Poke Ball before hand. The clock in the engine room hit 0:00, and in an instant, the boat was lit ablaze, illuminating the dock area and drawing the attention of many civilians in the process. Smoke began to rise from the ship as it steadily sunk into the water. A loud roar echoed through the night, as a silhouette became clearer and clearer through the blanket of smoke. Out emerged an enormous Salamence, on it's back Raines, and the unknown boy and girl, clenching their teeth as it flew swiftly. "That was pretty close.", Raines said, letting out a sigh of relief as Salamence landed at the edge of where the bridge connected to the boat once stood.

Lite awoke to the sound of roaring flame and explosions. Startled, he flailed out of bed, picked up his belt with his Poke Balls attached to it, put it on, and ran out of his room and out the Pokemon Center door.
Nuvema Bay was on fire. The same passenger liner that escorted Lite and several other trainers to Unova was ablaze. Something in the engine room must have exploded due to technical mishap. As she sunk underwater, emergency and rescue crews tried to save passengers that may still have been on the ship. Water-type Pokemon Lite had never seen before were ferrying survivors from the ship as she continued to burn. A group of people wearing strange clothing could be seen at the dock, and in the distance, the night sky, Lite saw a Salamence carrying a Trainer and two survivors away from the docks. Lite bolted to the docks to get a better view of the destruction. Fire crews were already putting out flames led astray by the night wind, and the remaining passengers, crew members, and their Pokemon were all okay. But the peculiar group was what attracted Lite the most. They were all wearing what looked like knight's garbs from the Middle Ages, holding flags that bore a purple letter "P" in the shape of a sword. In the middle, a man wearing a strange eyepiece and cape spoke in a booming voice: "This disaster was wrought by the great gods of Pokemon, who have deemed the human race unfit to carry on their backs the powers their so-called friends grant them. People and Pokemon were never meant to be united, and humans mistreat these magical creatures despite the fact that it is we who must learn from them. Pokemon contain enormous mystical strength within them, yet you Trainers catch them and limit their being in such confinement. Here me now! To prevent any such disasters as this from occurring ever again, we of Team Plasma urge each and every one of you alleged Trainers to release your Pokemon! That, or Team Plasma will take them by force!!" What sort of nonsense was this? Warmachine, who was floating above Lite, spun itself around in agitation. Obviously, even a Pokemon knew that this Team Plasma was talking pointless drivel. Lite shook his head in fury. "You dumb-ass! You morons! You've got this all wrong! Humans aren't trapping Pokemon! Humans forge friendships and bonds with them! Warmachine and I have an iron will together! That iron will is a symbol of our faith in each other! I believe in my partner, Warmachine, and it believes in me! Therefore, Warmachine has faith in itself and I have faith in myself! Do you think any of us Trainers would sympathize with the likes of you?!" Lite was angry. He hated people who spouted crap about the relationship between people and Pokemon. He saw through this group's ruse- they only wanted these Pokemon for themselves. "You bozos don't know ANYTHING about me and my partner!! I'll take you on and show you just what our iron will is all about!!" Warmachine nodded. Its eye shared the same angered, infuriated look in it that shone in Lite's eyes. "Is that so?! C'mere you little brat! I'll put you in your place!" One of the Team Plasma members threw out a Poke Ball, and out of it burst a small Normal-type Pokemon Lite had never seen before."Patrat! Give this kid what-for!!" The Patrat jumped at Lite- not Warmachine, directly at Lite- in preparation for a Scratch attack, but Warmachine ducked in and blocked it, taking hardly any damage, and countered with Zen Headbutt. It was a critical hit- Warmachine dove into the Patrat and nearly crushed it into the ground. "N-no! My Patrat!" The Plasma member recalled his Pokemon into his Poke Ball. Lite pumped his fist into the air. "Gotcha! Alright, Warmachine! Be on guard for the rest of 'em!" A large crowd of Trainers had appeared behind Lite. Some of them, he had recognized from his walking around town, or from them being on the ship when it landed (before it sank). A few of them even brought out their own Pokemon and challenged some of the Team Plasma members to battles. Lite himself wanted a shot or two at the main creep with the cape and weird eyepiece, but he had long since retreated. ~~~ The fires had been put out. The Team Plasma members had been beaten back by the various Pokemon Trainers that came out during the fight. Lite was in a bad mood, as was Warmachine. Their two minds had never been in more sync up until this date. "Warmachine. If us and Kashiwa see those guys ever again, I don't care who they think they are. You and I both are going to slug each and every one of these guys a big fat fist until none of 'em are left conscious. These people have no idea about people and Pokemon. C'mon. "Go! Litwick! Use Hex!"
Litwick came straight on, and began enshrouding itself in purple magic gas. Pidove was attacking to, with Quick Attack. Pidove went straight through the Litwick however, and slamming itself into the floor. But the Hex didn't damage it. "W-What? Why didn't that hit?" The Pidove quickly recovered, and used Gust. "Come on Litwick! Dodge it and counterattack with Flame Burst!" Litwick "bounced" away from the tornado as fast as possible, then threw a ball of flame at it's target. It was a direct hit! The Pidove began to use Roost. "No! Don't allow it to heal! Keep attacking with Flame Burst!" Litwick kept throwing fireballs at the bird, and eventually the Pidove began to fly off. "We can't let it escape! Use one more Flame Burst!" A final ball of flame was sent towards the target, and when it hit, it fell to the ground. "I-I did it! I beat it!" After watching Jakob's battle James was very intrigued.
"Ah good, with the proper respect for your Pokémon, you'll become a fine trainer." Then James put up a tent, "Look, you can sleep here." James looked back at Nuvema Town, and he saw smoke coming from the pier, "I gotta make a phone call." and James took out his PokéGear. "Hello This is Bill, Pokémon Stor--" "Hello Bill, this is James, I need for you check the international news quickly, there's a fire at Nuvema Town's pier." "Ok, sure." James waited a couple of minutes "Yeah news crews are at the ship you were on, it sunk and a few trainers are fighting some weird people, dressed up like knights... they are calling themselves Team Plasma." "Team Plasma?" "Yeah let me do a little more research on them, do you need some of your Pokémon from here?" "No Eevee and I will take care of them when if we meet them, but also I'm not at the Pokémon Center--" Bill laughed over the phone, "Knowing you, you're still trying to have that Eevee become an Umbreon." "Well anyways, Yeah it's night time, the PokéGear isn't updated yet with the Regional Map." "Well the Satellite isn't over you yet to update the PokéGear." "If I need my Pokémon I'll call." "Okay, I also look forward to meeting the new Pokémon you capture." "Yeah, but does the Network reach here?" After the commotion of the burning ship had settled, Pisclin tentatively poked his head out of the barrel that he had taken refuge in.
"Tentacool... do you think that everyone is ok?" Tentacool gurgled with uncertainty, but pointed at those that had been successfully rescued from the ship and were being tended to. Pisclin and Tentacool had gone to the Pokemon Center right after the battle with Ditto, but hadn't gotten a chance to get his Pokedex from Prof. Juniper. "Well... things seem to be under control, so I think it is time we finally got that Pokedex!" Pisclin then realized that he and Tentacool were genuinely stuck in the barrel. "Herrghh... come on... UNGH!" Pisclin grunted as he tried to free himself from the barrel, careening back and forth. He and Tentacool exerted a bit too much force, though, and found themselves collapsing to the ground, completely destroying the barrel around them. And wouldn't you know it, as they lay there in a pile of crumbled and destroyed wood, walks by the disagreeable looking trainer from before and his Beldum, looking even more peeved than before. "Well, ain't that just dandy." Dell mused. "I'm hearin' all these battles goin' on an' no-one wants to fight us." He turned to Machoke. "I bet they're all just intimidated by your immense stature, ol' buddy." He stopped for a bit. "Well, I guess the best thing to do would be to train by ourselves, right, Machoke?" It was late in the day, but Machoke's instincts made him like hard work. Right before they left the city, they heard a voice. "Hold on, wait!" someone yelled. It was professor Juniper. "Sorry, I was busy when you asked me where the training spots were." She handed Dell a town map. "I'm afraid we don't have any training facilities, but the closest spot to train your pokemmon would be route 1, just North of here. "Much obliged, miss." Dell bowed slightly. "Now, c'mon, Machoke. We got trainin' to do." As they entered route 1, Dell noticed Machoke's tension. "Now, I know you don't like hurtin' wild pokemon. I'm okay with that. We can jus' train on that boulder over there. Your No Guard ability makes it useless to work on accuracy, anyway." He checked the boulder to see how hard and sturdy it was. "Now this here's a fine piece o' work. Alright, Machoke! First, use yer ice punch!" Machoke's left fist turned a bluish color and emitted cold steam. It punched the boulder and it's fist erupted with white crystals that put many dents in the boulder, and turned all the moisture around it into mist. "Not bad." Dell said as he examined the boulder. Now, try yer fire punch!" Machoke's right fist turned hot red and began to glow like coals on a barbecue. When it punched the rock, all the mist and snow melted away into steam. Most of the rock was chipped off and became smoke that rose into the skies, and what was left of the rock was scorched black, and came up to Dell's waist. A puddle of already solidifying lava lay at their feet. "Hoo-wee," Dell exclaimed. "I'm sorry I had my doubts about ya, Machoke. C'mon, let's go back an' take a rest. As Dell entered the pokemon center, he noticed it was very quiet. Most everyone was already asleep; except for the late-night nurse who was yawning at the counter. "Er, 'scuse me, miss, but do y'all have an open room for my buddy an' me?" The nurse tiredly stared at Dell. "I'm sorry, sir, but all of our rooms are currently occupied. If you have to stay, then I have to room you with someone else who doesn't have a roommate." Dell scratched the back of his neck. "Oh, then could ya room me in the most empty room? The nurse sighed and typed up the rooms. "We currently have a room with just one guy about your age and his pokemon. Would you like to room with him, or would you like another room?" She said as if this was protocol and she had to say this but she didn't want to. "Uh, no, I'll take that one, please." "Here's the room key. Have a nice rest." "Much obliged." Dell walked down the hallway and found his room. He knocked on the door and the one to answer it was a guy who looked like he'd done a lot of reading. " 'Scuse me, but would it be okay if my pokemon and I could room with ya? There ain't any rooms left. I could put him in his poke ball if y'all have problems with 'im." "Of course it would. Come in and make yourself at home. Your Machoke will be fine as well." Ditto said with a warm voice, inviting the new face into the room My name is Ditto, and this is my partner, Riolu. Riolu nodded at the acknoledgement. Sorry to be rude, but I was actually just about to sleep. Go ahead and settle in. I usually sleep pretty heavy, so you can move around and do whatever without fully waking me up. It was really nice meeting you, but I really must get to bed. Ditto quickly jumped in his covers and fell asleep just as fast. It had been a long day. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ A loud boom and a small tremor woke Ditto and his Riolu up with a jolt. "What the hell was that?" Ditto said drowzily, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. The window was glowing red. He peered out and saw an inferno of what used to be the cruise ship docked in the harbor. His eyes widened at the sight of the ship. He put on his clothes and got his gear together with the speed of a Ninjask and ran out of the Center, the Riolu hanging on for dear life on the hood of his zip up sweatshirt. He wasn't in the best of shape, and it's not as if the pier was right by the center, so by the time he was on the streets, the fire had been taken care of. Still, his natural curiosity got the better of him, and he wanted to see the wreckage. As he ran down to the pier, he saw Pilscin on the ground and the trainer with the Beldum not too far ahead. On the way out of town, a nice trainer told Stu the way to Route 1.
Stu and Seedot entered Route 1 and were amazed at all of the wild Pokemon they saw. "Woah, Seedot. Look at all of the Pokemon," Stu said in awe. There were tons! Mainly all the same Pokemon, but there were tons! Stu noticed that it was a straight path into the next town. "Score, Seedot! Looks like we'll get through this place with out any scratches." Stu also saw the differently colored grass. 'I wonder what's up with that,' Stu and Seedot took a step into the grass and then- "Yip yip yip!" "What the heck-" A wild Pokemon attacked them!"Ah! Seedot, watch out!" Stu yelled in panic. "Watch out! Go, Tepig!" A voice called. Then, a pig-like Pokemon came out and took care of the Pokemon that had just attacked Stu and Seedot! "Wha-wha-what?" Stu said in confusion, becuse the events that had just took place went by so quickly. He looked next to him and saw a boy, mabey a bit older than Stu, with a blue coat and glasses. "Er, um, thanks for saving me,-" "Cheren. Cheren is my name. And, you're welcome." Stu nodded his head. "By you're reaction to the Pokemon that just attacked you, I'm guessing you're a new trainer, right? Stu nodded his head again. "Hm. Allright. I have alot of training to do, but I suppose I can help you find your way-" Stu and Cheren heard a lout explosion behind them and saw flames. "What the heck just happened!?!" They both said in usion. "Hey, you, uh-" "Stu." "Yeah, Stu! Stay here I'm going to fing Professoor Juniper!" And with those words, Cheren ran off to Nuevma Twon. Ark and Zorua both woke up to a loud noise outside of the Poke Center.
"I wonder what's going on." Ark walked outside with Zorua in his arms. He noticed a fire at the boat and went to the dock. He peered inside and saw Lite Kyler run in and fight a Patrat. He was amazed at how quickly he had taken it down. Ark couldn't sleep, so he stayed outside and watched the stars. He saw a shooting star briefly fly by. Ark wished, "I wish someone would let me join them. They wouldn't be sorry. Zorua and I know our way around some cities and our battle skills aren't half bad either." After he wished that, he saw the boy that was to be traveling with Lite Kyler run into the Pokemon Lab. "Hmm. I wonder if he would let me become his friend and travel with him. I'm sure he'd be delighted, but Lite would probably kick my butt if i asked him. I'll still ask if -- hmm, Kashiwa, was it? -- would like it if I joined them. "Well Eevee, I need to train you now." James looked at Jakob, "I need train my little pal here, maybe tomorrow I can talk about this things special properties and all that."
James walked toward the tall grass and saw a Lillipup. BATTLE! VS WILD LILLIPUP "Well Eevee, there's our first target, use bite on that thing" As Eevee started to attack, James pulled out his Pokédex, and saw the name of the Pokémon he was battling. "Ah, so you're called a Lillipup." Eevee bit down hard on the Lillipup, in turn it gave out a loud cry in pain and used a tackle on Eevee. "Good Eevee, looks we should do a sand-attack next" Eevee used a sand-attack and the sand went into Lillipup's eyes "Poor thing, but I can't let my Eevee stay weak." Lillipup was blinded but it bit Eevee "Eevee, shake it off, and give it a nice tackle" Eevee did that very thing and Lillipup was still raring to go... but suddenly it collapsed. WILD LILLIPUP DEFEATED "Eevee good work, now hop back onto my shoulder and we'll go back to the campsite" and James and Eevee went back to the campsite and layed next the tent. "Well Eevee, we need to get out sleep, since you're normally wake up at the first sign of light, wake me up too." then James and Eevee went to sleep outside the tent. The fires had all died down. The Trainers who came out to assist Lite had all gone back to their residences. Lite began walking back to the Pokemon Center. The explosion had ruined his night and he needed the rest. Warmachine slowly hovered behind him- like its partner, it was also in a bad mood. Both human and Pokemon were still fuming over the nonsense that Team Plasma group spoke. What sort of people did they take themselves for?
Lite heard a faint, shaking noise around him. Some sort of sound resonating from the side of the docks could be heard close by. He turned around and saw a barrel among other barrels. This one in particular was shaking. Lite rose an eyebrow in suspicion. The wooden barrel rotated back and forth. Sounds could be heard from inside... "Herrghh... come on... UNGH!" Suddenly, the barrel fell over and broke open, revealing the Trainer Lite had seen earlier with the Tentacool around his neck! He looked up at Lite, and his expression became that of embarrassment. Lite shook his head and gripped the Trainer's hand, helping him up onto his feet. Warmachine inspected the Trainer's Water-Poison Pokemon with curiosity, but flailed back and jabbed a bit when the Tentacool reached one of its appendages out from around the boy's neck. The boy was about Lite's age, give or take a year or so, and had apparently been hiding in the barrel for a while. Lite shook his head and smiled. "Well, well, well. What sort of disagreeable, rag-tag moron would go around hiding in barrels and getting stuck in 'em? I like your style kid, but you're not one to think things through much, are ya?" He tilted his head, looking at the Trainer. "I've seen you 'round. You were on the boat, right? Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Lite Kyler! The technical savant and representative badass of Mossdeep City, in the ever-so-beautiful Hoenn region! Me and my partner Warmachine here are gonna begin a journey with our new friend tomorrow. Now then, won't you introduce yourself as well?" |

Pisclin's blood was boiling now. Not out of envy, like with Ditto, but this time out of fuming vexation for this smug Hoenn-native. Pisclin was an expert at feigning other emotions, though, and kept his fiery rage bottled up.
"Ha ha..." Pisclin laughed awkwardly. "I'm Pisclin, from Sunyshore City of the Sinnoh Region. You know, gorgeous beaches, nice... fish markets." This was going really horribly. "Well...anyway, we were in that barrel because Tentacool and I were smart enough to hide during that horrific ship fire!" Yep, no use getting involved in something that we have nothing to do with... yeah?" Based on Lite's tough and piercing stare, Pisclin could tell that the two clearly shared two entirely different opinions on what should happen during emergency situations, and while one prefers to take more hands-on approaches, the other prefers to hide in cargo. "So... yes, I'll just get our of your hair now, I was just headed to the Pokemon Center anyway, and I am SURE you aren't heading there, what with the exciting adventures you probably are going on... okay bye." And with that Pisclin tried to get himself out of this horrifying social encounter, only to have Ditto walk up and make himself seen to Pisclin and Lite. |

Ditto walked up to the two trainers.
"Hey Pisclin! How's it going, and who's your friend here?" Pisclin turned his head with sudden interest. "Oh, hey there Ditto! Well... I don't know about friend, but he calls himself Lite. He helped me out of what used to be that barrel." Lite looked in the direction of the voice and saw the trainer with the bipedal-dog from earlier. "I've seen you, too! I'll don't mind introducing myself again. Lite Kyler, resident badass and technical protege from Mossdeep City, at your service!" "I'm not gonna even ask about the barrel..." He shifted his attention to the other trainer. " But Lite, huh? Nice to meet you" Ditto extended his hand for a handshake. "My name's Ditto. I'm from Canalave in the Sinnoh region." Lite gripped Ditto's hand and shook it. "Nice to meet ya, kid. You look like you know your way around stuff. Did you see those Plasma morons before the explosion?" "Plasma morons?" Ditto questioned. "No. I know no one by the name of Plasma. The explosion woke me up, and by the time I was on the streets, the fire was nearly out, so I really didn't see anyone." "Bah," Lite groaned. "Those Team Plasma creeps were spouting a bunch of crap about the ship sinking because gods were upset with the way people treated Pokemon. They just wanted everyone at the docks to give them their Pokemon so they could steal 'em! Warmachine and I beat the crap out of some-" he beckoned to his partner by his side "- but before we could get a shot at the head creep, he had already bolted! I swear if I see 'im again I'm gonna slug him in the face." Pisclin has suddenly grown interested in this bizarre clan known as Team Plasma. What they did seemed to completely contradict the beliefs they claim to have, which made Pisclin wonder what they REALLY believed. Lite's reckless actions also piqued Pisclin's interest, who never really knew someone who acted so powerfully on emotion in a situation where the odds were completely stacked against them. "So..." began Pisclin tentatively. "You actually stood up to these goons? Just you and Warmachine here?" Lite chuckled. Pisclin was already coming across as an awkward sort of personality, what with his stutter and pauses in speech. Lite began to speak. "Well, my fiery and egotistic personality would like to say I took 'em all on by myself, but nah. Some native kids and other Trainers from the ship helped me out. If I may, though, Warmachine DID throw the first move. It gets pissed off at the same things I do. We got a few of those goons for ourselves though. Man, they were like cake." Ditto interjected. "People like that really grind my gears. I remember Team Galactic in the Sinnoh region a few years ago." Ditto slightly shifted in his aggrivated pose. "I find it hard to believe that these people want to 'liberate' Pokémon. And if these guys are as populous as Galactic back in Sinnoh, there's sure to be more of these guys, and higher ups as well..." He paused for a moment. "I'm going to make a vow." Pisclin raised his eyebrows a bit at Ditto's sudden boost in spirit against this Team Plasma. In Sinnoh, Glactic had never been much of a problem for Pisclin... in Sunyshore, at least. Lite grinned. This Ditto guy, whoever he was, was a pretty cool guy. "So you guys had a deal like these Plasma dudes, too, huh? Well what's this about a vow? Let's hear your proposal, kid." "Kid? I'm willing to bet I'm older than you." Ditto smirked. "Anyway, my vow. I'm gonna take these guys down. Most Pokémon love being with their trainers. I'm not sure if you want to get in this or not, but you two are welcome to join." "I like your style... Ditto, was it? You've got a lot of spunk," Lite said. He continued, "I dunno about joining you outright, since I'm goin' on my own journey with a friend of mine... but I can promise you this, like Warmachine and I promised each other. If we ever see those guys again doin' something stupid, I can guarantee you me and my partner'll be on the scene ready to kick their ass. I 'specially want a swing or two at that head guy. Count me in!" "Awesome! Pisclin... What about you...? I know you're a new trainer, and you've got a lot to learn, but I know that you've got the capability for this. Are you in?" Ditto was semi-pressuring Pisclin into this, but he was pretty sure that he was going to anyway. He just needed the extra push. Pisclin was thoroughly torn between what he wanted to do. He certainly did not come to a new reason to act as a vigilante against mysterious criminal teams, but letting these goons blow up ships and steal Pokemon? That seemed like being far too neutral than Pisclin was willing to be. "Well..." Pisclin tentatively responded. "I will be perfectly willing to deal with Team Plasma if I get the chance. I'm not going straight after them, since I have but a single Tentacool with me, and no matter how strong it is, I haven't got a chance against an entire criminal team. I'm taking the Gym challenge in this region, and can assure you that if given the chance, I'll help either one of you out against them." Pisclin's confident speaking was surprising even himself. Lite nodded. "So it's decided! We have a pact! If and when the situation calls upon it, we now have the duty to beat down Team Plasma if we catch their pants 'round their ankles and their hand in the cookie jar!" He pumped his fist in the air, and Warmachine did so in tandem. Then, Lite said, "Granted, at this point, I'm more interested in seeing the Unova region and takin' on all these Gyms. Plus there's someone here I'm looking for, and another I'm looking after. But! You can count on me to clock those goons one if I ever see 'em!" Pisclin nodded in agreement, but ecstatic poses weren't really his thing, so he and Tentacool simply continued to show their calm and controlled agreement with Lite. "Decided it is!" Ditto posed himself, with Riolu following. "Well, it's really late, and we should probably get back to the Pokémon Center... That reminds me. While I was reading, I didn't see you come in at all, Pisclin. Did you... uh... get a room or anything?" Pisclin suddenly drew a blank. Despite his obsession with planning ahead and leaving nothing to chance, he seemed to have forgotten about making sleeping arrangements. He felt even more out-of-place than usual, and was left speechless. The expression on Pisclin's face said everything for him. "Oh no! You didn't did you? I'd offer you my room... but the other vacancy in it was taken just before I went to bed by a dude and his Machoke." Ditto glanced at Lite. "I saw your name on the registry. Do you have a roommate for tonight?" Thoughts of panic quickly spread through Pisclin's brain like a plague in the split second between Ditto's question and Lite's response. So far Pisclin had made himself out to be a social numbskull who gets stuck in barrels, and with their two conflicting personalities Pisclin could hardly imagine such a partnership. Then again, it was only for one night... "Ah!" Lite exclaimed. "Don't worry, Pisclin guy. There's one bed open in my room, so you can crash with me for a while. I don't mind havin' to share the room or anything, and I'll be leaving tomorrow morning anyway! I've got the key already so we can just head out." "Alright! One more quick thing. I hear the Striaton Gym has three leaders. I think that'll be the perfect test of our synergy. We'll race there. You and your accomplice, and Pisclin and me, if that's okay with both of you, sirs." Realizing that his very passive and submissive nature was going to get himself hurled into the windstorm of events no matter what he did, Pisclin responded with a brisk "All right then, sounds... fine." Lite smiled in anticipation. "Is that a challenge? Alrighty then! Consider it accepted. Me, Warmachine, and my buddy and his partner against you, Pisclin, and your Pokemon? This sounds like it'll be fun times. Fun times indeed!" Warmachine, too, floated up and down in excitement and elation. "Hear that, War? Night's not turnin' out so bad after all!" "Alright!" Ditto exclaimed. "Let's get to the Center. We've got a long journey ahead of us. I can just tell." "Night indeed." Pisclin put in. "Its early morning by now, shouldn't we be off?" Pisclin really was getting tired. Lite agreed "Yeah, I don't want to be wasted before the long haul tomorrow. C'mon, Pisclin guy. I'll show you up to our room." He beckoned to Pisclin and walked off in the direction of the Pokemon Center. Ditto followed the two soon after, as they walked to the rest of their now intertwined fate. Kashiwa asked, as he put his clothes and jacket back on for another trip outside. Ivyivy nodded, and slowly followed behind him as he walked out of his room. Walking near the laboratory, Professor Juniper woke up and caught a glimpse of Kashiwa walking out. She stopped him abruptly.
"Kashiwa, where are you headed this early? It's still half past two in the morning, you couldn't possibly have anything to do at this hour," Professor Juniper reamarked. "Is something wrong?" Kashiwa stood straight up, worried he was in trouble. After finding comfort in Professor Juniper's eyes again, he spoke. "I can't sleep, so Ivyivy and I are gonna train for a bit. Since I have a long day ahead of me, I wanted to have some time to get Ivyivy physically ready...if you don't mind." Professor Juniper smiled. "Of course you may. Be careful though; are you wearing proper insulation? I don't want you to catch a cold on your first day of being a trainer." Kashiwa nodded and opened the door of the lab, and walked into the late night air again. He was soon stopped by Professor Juniper again, for something very important. "Oh, Kashiwa, before I forget...there's been some shady activity going on with an organization known as Team Plasma. You were asleep at the time, but there was a fire out at the dock a while ago, caused by them. A couple of the trainers who came today, including Lite, showed up and pt a stop to them, but there may be some people left. If you see anyone shady, make sure you tell me, alright? I don't want this little town to get into any serious trouble with them." Kashiwa nodded in the affirmative, but he was worried about these "shady characters". He was afraid of dangerous people, and avoided them if he could, but if he couldn't, he would have to make sure he stood his ground and confronted the situation with utmost courage. He made his way toward Route 1, where he knew plenty of Pokemon resided. Kashiwa walked nervously into the tall grass. He wasn't sure what he might encounter, but he knew there would be a Pokemon that would attack sooner or later. Soon enough, something jumped out at the two. It was a Patrat. BATTLE: Ivyivy the Snivy vs. a wild Patrat! Kashiwa sent Ivyivy after the Patrat, whose large eyes scanned its enemy. Though Ivyivy attacked with a powerful Aerial Ace, it was deflected with the Patrat's hand. It was sent backwards though, and its equilibrium was disturbed. "Quick, Ivyivy, use Aerial Ace again!" Ivyivy's tail started slashing the wind, and laid a direct hit upon the Patrat's head. Patrat was knocked down, but it started its way back up. It glared at Ivyivy, and Ivyivy, startled, backed away in fear. "Huh...isn't that Leer? Nonetheless, Ivyivy, use Grass Pledge!" Ivyivy jumped up, crossed its arms, and sent wave after wave of leaves. Patrat was hit by the waves, and soon it was knocked down, senseless. It was defeated. "Nice job, Ivyivy! Let's go find another oppo-" Before he could finish, the grassy patch in front of him started to shake violently. Kashiwa walked over to it, but before he could reach it, a huge, tornado-like windstorm appeared from the shadows and picked him and Ivyivy up. Kashiwa began to scream, and held on to Ivyivy. The windstorm didn't seem to show any signs of ceasing, but rather, carrying Kashiwa and Ivyivy higher and higher. Eventually, when they didn't rise anymore, a beam of glowing leaves headed straight for them, knocking them out of the windstorm and landing them in the water. Kashiwa quickly scrambled out, carrying Ivyivy, who fainted to the random attack. In the opposite side of him, he started hearing voices: "Oh, it appears I knocked him a bit too far..." "Quiet! Do you want to get caught!? Even if we fail this mission, what good will it do us if we stay here!? Let's get outta here, hurry!" "Ok, ok, I'm coming. Wait...that kid...is that...?" "Hurry up! Let's get moving!" "Alright fine. I'm coming." Kashiwa looked questioningly at the quickly moving shadows on the other side of the path, concealed by the abundant foliage. "What was that about...?" Kashiwa slowly climbed out of the cold water, and ran back to the lab, carrying his fainted Ivyivy. |

Jakob witnessed the strange tornade that picked up Ivyivy.
"That pokemon... wasn't it a Snivy? Those are really rare, i've heard. Anyway, I need to heal you" Jakob headed to the pokemon centre in Nuvema town. "Um... could you please heal my Litwick?" "Sure!" The nurse replied, and Litwick went off with her. A minute later, he came back out, good as new. "Thank you" Jakob also stopped off at the Pokemart. He fiddled through his pockets, and got out Ł250 pocket money. (remember, this is the pokemon world) "Could I please buy some pokeballs?" After that, he headed back to Route 1, and the Pidove was still lying there. "Seeing as I am going on an adventure, maybe I should... catch it?" He threw the ball at it, and it was a successful capture. "Yes! I should of done that before, because I need to heal it now." And with that, he headed back to the Pokemon Centre. |

Dell woke up late, and Ditto wasn't there. ".uh..?" he grunted. Then he bolted upright and took a look at his Poketch. "Aw, shoot! It's late! Wake up, Machoke, we gotta git goin'!"
Dell ran out of the Pokemon Center, Dragging Machoke behind him. Despite the extra weight, Dell moved very quickly, and dashed past most of the pokemon on route 1. Then he stopped. "Hold on just a sec." he mumbled. Where am I goin' anyway?" He walked back to retrace his steps when he saw a boy who looked accomplished. "Uh, scuse me." He interrupted. "I appear to be a lil' lost. Could y'all let me tag along for a bit?" "Um... sure, I guess... It's really more of James' decision. You'll have to ask him. I was just heading back to the Pokemon center so I can heal my Pidove. He's asleep there, we can wake him up, I guess..." "Well then, le's go. Oh, by the way. Mah name's Dell. I'm from the Battle Zone in the Sinnoh Region. And this is Machoke." Machoke nodded in acknowledgment. "Oh, hi. My name's Jakob. I'm from a little area near Mistralton city. And this is Litwick." "Well, take a gander at that. A candle pokemon. In all mah years at the battle zone, where trainers all over the world meet, I've never sen somethin' quite like that." "Oh, it's only found in the lost tower. It's... like a burial site. When Jakob arrived he awaited at the desk for the nurse to heal Pidove.
"Here you go, good as new!" "Thank you." Pidove rested in Jakob's hands on the way back, and Litwick bounced behind, steadily as always. When he got to the tent, he spotted Dell and James. "That Pokemon that Dell has... it look very strong. I wonder how it would fare against you two. Anyway, I really haven't had much sleep. Let's go and snooze." After he got the tent, he said hi to Dell, and went inside. He layed down Pidove, who was asleep, next to Litwick, who was also asleep. "They look... cute together." He stared at the roof. "To think... i'm going on an adventure now. I have friends... and even another pokemon. I better get some sleep though... it's midnight" And with that, Jakob began to fall alseep. |

Ark finally figured it was time to set out to Route 1. Looking around, Ark said, "Wow. So many Pokemon in one area. I wonder what it's like in other Routes like this one."
After Ark said that, a wild Lillipup appeared! WILD POKEMON BATTLE: ZORUA VS. WILD LILLIPUP! "Okay Zorua, this is our first battle in some time so i don't expect you being in you normal battle shape!" Zorua growled. "Okay, I understand, you do your thing. First start off with Dark Pulse!" Zorua emitted many small blobs of purple matter that headed straight for the Lillipup. "Alright! A direct hit! But it doesn't seem to be damaged too well. Anyways, weaken it with Aerial Ace!" Zorua's paw glowed a bright light and struck the Lillipup with force. "Okay, it looks weak enough! Go, Poke Ball!" Ark waited for a couple seconds until he heard a satisfying 'click!' and picked it up. "Woo-hoo! Zorua, we have ourselves a new friend! Come on out Lillipup!" Adam watched from a distance as news crews swarmed the area around the smoldering ship.
"I wish I could have seen that explosion from here. That would have been cool, huh?" he asked as he pet his quilava behind the ear. "I'm glad I decided to bring you guys along to see me off on the Unova portion of my travels." Espeon and Quilava looked up at their trainer attentively. "Something tells me that I'm going to get hounded for having fully-trained pokemon with me, though. I'm seeing nothing but base-form pokemon around here--well, other than that salamence. Sorry, guys, but I'm going to have to send you back home for a while once I pick up a local starter pokemon." The two small pokemon looked up at him sadly as their ears fell flat. "This is hard enough as it is, guys... Please don't give me that look. You know how much I love you guys. I promise I'll bring you back as soon as I can." Adam reached for the fourth pokeball on his belt and sent out a cradily standing nearly a foot taller than most others of its species. "Alright, Cradily. Ready to do your thing?" Cradily made a noise akin to that of a gurgle as it extended its petals like an umbrella, providing shelter from the elements. "You do realize that the pokemon center is providing room and board." Adam looked back at the voice of the young man that sported two pokemon from the Hoenn region. "Oh, it's you. Well, it will take some time to get to the pokemon center, and my pokemon and I have a rather strict bedtime of midnight, and it's almost one a.m... However, we don't normally have near-death experiences fleeing from a burning sea-going vessel... so, I guess an exception can be made this once. What do you think, Cradily? You're the one that would otherwise be the shelter." The barnacle pokemon retracted its petals and sat there indifferently for a moment before returning to its pokeball on its own. "You appear to be from Hoenn." Adam said as he turned back to the bookish-looking guy. "I am, as a matter of fact." Aura replied, holding out his hand for a hand shake. "My name is Aura." "Alright." Adam said as he stared at the outstretched hand for a moment before lifting Espeon and Quilava onto his shoulders. "Where'd that girl with the mudkip go?" "I'm not for certain." Aura said as he cleared his throat, slighly annoyed with the older boy's lack of disclosure of his own name and failure to shake hands. "What is your name?" "Err... um... why do you want to know?" "Well, I told you my name." "Yeah." "Normally when one person tells you his name and holds out his hand, you do the same." "That's nice." Adam said as he put his hands in his pockets. "So, where's the pokemon center?" Aura frowned. "I haven't looked at my map yet." "It's this way." Adam and Aura both turned and looked to see the young girl standing about a dozen feet away. "It's nearby Juniper's lab. I was there when I realized I left my egg on the boat." The three of them began walking off toward the pokemon center. "My name is Aura." Aura said as he held out his hand to the girl. She shook his hand and quietly replied, "I'm Eliana." Aura looked back at Adam to see his reaction, but he was not paying attention to them. Instead, his eyes were scanning the ground as though he was looking for something. Aura shook his head as they traveled the remaining distance to the pokemon center in silence. Upon arriving, Adam laid down on vacant couch as Espeon and Quilava curled up next to him. "From what I have seen of that guy, he's very ill-mannered." Aura said quietly to Eliana. "Maybe he's just tired." Eliana replied as she walked up to the Nurse with him. "Where's the lodging for the new trainers?" Aura asked. "I'm terribly sorry, but somehow we ran out of rooms. I don't know how that happened. That young man over there seems to be making due with the couch. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but would you please follow his lead?" Aura nodded. "Of course. It's better than laying on the cold, hard ground." He said as he scoped out an empty couch for himself and pointed to another for Eliana. "You can take that one, Eliana. Hopefully tomorrow morning won't be riddled with exploding boats. Goodnight." "Goodnight." Eliana replied softly as she made her way over to the couch and set her egg on the ground next to it." "Excuse me." The Nurse said as she got out from behind the counter. "It isn't really a good idea to lay an egg on the ground like that. Would you like me to hold it for you until morning?" "Yes please. That would be great." Eliana said with a smile. "Thank you." "You're welcome. Sleep well, if at all possible on that little couch." James was quietly sleeping and felt something on his hand, "Ouch!" he seen Eevee biting his hand, "Thanks little buddy, I knew I can count on you." he looked at his PokéGear, "Hmm, the short-range map says the next town is up ahead."
Then James looked inside the tent, and seen Jakob and a young man as well. "looks like Jakob got a traveling companion after all." then James wrote a note a placed it in Jakob's hand [I'm going to towards the next town, when you go out look outside and see some rocks just in front of the entrance to the tent, You may keep this tent if you'd like.] Then James placed some rocks, made an arrow pointed towards the north. and then James walked towards Accumula Town. A few minutes later, James reached Accumula. "Well Eevee, here we are" James looked at a sign, it read: Accumula Town: The Fast-Growing Town! Jakob was awoken by the sound of squaking. Pidove was awake, head through the entrance of the tent, making lots of noise.
"Shhh... Dell is still asleep. *yawn* What is it?" Only then did Jakob notice the note in his hand. [I'm going to towards the next town, when you go out look outside and see some rocks just in front of the entrance to the tent, You may keep this tent if you'd like.] Jakob peered outside the tent, and saw an arrow of rocks pointing towards the north. Litwick had just woken up and looked at the rocks also. He pointed north. "Yes Litwick. It's pointing to the next town. Let's go guys." Litwick rested on the shoulder, while Pidove was perched on Jakobs head. Halfway through the route, Litwick began pulling Jakob's hair "Oh, are you thirsty? Sorry, I haven't got anything on me." Then Pidove flew down from Jakobs head and layed the berries it stole of Litwick before down. Then he picked one up, and squeezed it between it's beak. The juicy insides of the berry dribbled into Pidove's mouth as a nice, refreshing drink. "Hey, nice idea, Pidove. Alright Litwick, let's have a small picnic." Sounds of incessant squawking could be heard from outside, as the red rose fingers of dawn began stretching across the sky. Pisclin, being a light sleeper, slowly began to wake up form the light and sounds of Pidove. Looking over, Pisclin noticed that Lite was still sound asleep. Well, that seems to be yet another thing that the two don't have in common... sleep patterns. Pisclin quietly tried to prepare himself for the day's voyage as silently as possible, completely freezing and tensing up every time he made some sort of noise that could wake Lite up. Eventually Pisclin had gathered all of his things, and left the room. A note wasn't necessary, since Lite and Pisclin were bound to run into each other sometime soon...
As Pisclin left the Pokecenter with Pokeballs in pocket and Tentacool on shoulder, he passed by many trainers snoozing on the couches of the lobby. "Gracious... nobody in this region seems to like waking up early, it would appear." Going through Route 1, Pisclin couldn't help but notice that there were trainers here as well, because of the erected tent and small picnic between a trainer and his Pokemon. Having no inclination to get involved with more trainers, Pisclin dashed past them, avoiding as many Pokemon as possible. Adam gave Espeon one last hug before returning her to her pokeball. "I'll bring you back as soon as I can." he said quietly as he set the three pokeballs on the transporter and pressed 'deposit'. With a heavy sigh, he turned to Quilava, who was looking up at him with a concerned look in his eyes. "I know he'll take good care of them... it's just hard leaving them behind. You remember when we first arrived in Hoenn and Sinnoh... but I can't send you back. Ever since the accident with Charmander, well... you know. I kind of think of you as my first pokemon.
Adam picked up the fire-type and set him on his shoulder before digging around in his backpack and taking out pokedex models from each region he'd been to so far. Quilava nudged the side of Adam's head with his nose. "The pokedexes aren't really any good here, but it's fun to look at them and see the progression of the design." He stuffed the gadgets back into his back pack and slung it onto his right shoulder before sliding the other strap onto his left. "Ready to go?" Quilava, predictably, said his own name. However, it wasn't the agreeing sort of tone Adam was looking for. "Why?" Quilava gestured over to where Eliana and Aura. "I guess that's a good idea. I don't have Espeon, Pachirisu, and Cradily to back me up anymore. If renaissance man or any of those other medieval wannabes jumped us, we might not be able to take them alone. There's power in numbers." With that, Adam sat down in the couch he'd used as a bed the previous night and set Quilava in his lap, stroking his back gently as he waited for the other two trainers. |

Lite tossed, turned, and mumbled in his sleep. "No dad... mmmmph... no I don't have homework Tina and I are playing video games...seriously we did it already... oh... okay... bye... mrphm..." Lite shifted in his bed and fell off the mattress, hitting his head on the ground. "ACK!" Lite got up from the floor, his head throbbing. He got up and shook himself off, and peered over at the adjacent bed. It was empty- Pisclin must have woken up earlier and left. Lite shrugged. "That kid has some sort of social problem. Ah well. I need to head out myself." Lite put on his belt with the Poke Balls at its side, and released Warmachine from its own ball. It, too, had been resting from the night before, and when it woke up it had a groggy, sluggish look in its eye. "Yeah. Me too, pal. Rise and shine, we're leavin' to see Kashiwa." Warmachine reluctantly floated up and followed Lite around the room as he assembled his bags and articles and walked out the door.
Stepping down the stairway Lite could see not everyone was sleeping in rooms- some misfortunate kids had to make due with the couches. He noticed two in particular who were sharing a couch- an older boy with a Quilava and a small girl. The older boy appeared to be awake, but Lite was too drowsy to pay any attention to him or give him a decent greeting. He raised his hand and gave a meager "Hey" before walking out the door. The bright morning sun hit Lite in the face like a boxer's expertly thrown fist. "AAAHHH! Damn is it bright out! I should've brought shades." Warmachine, too, winced momentarily at the sudden intensity of light outside. Lite shook his head and blinked a few times, then beckoned Warmachine to follow him to the Pokemon Lab. "Hello? Anyone home?" Lite knocked on the door a few times, but the lab door was locked. After a minute or so, the doorknob shook and Lite heard some locks being switched off. Juniper opened the door and greeted Lite. "Hello, Lite. How is your morning so far?" She herself had obviously just woken up- she was wearing a nightgown, Poke Ball patterned-pajamas, and slippers in the shape of a bunny Pokemon. "My morning hasn't been very good. But mornings are never very good for me. I'm not a morning person. In fact, it would be safe to say I mourn mornings." Juniper chuckled at Lite's pun, slightly bad though it was. He continued, "Anyway, I came to see Kashiwa but I'm assuming he's not awake yet? I'll set somewhere until he wakes up. Be sure to let me know." "Okay then. I'll be sure to let you know when he's awake. In the meantime, make yourself comfortable on the couch there. Do you drink coffee? I blend mine with a special mix of Berries." "No, that won't be necessary." Lite sat down on a couch in the lab and put his backpack down on the floor, and leaned into the arm of the seat. Warmachine floated down onto the cushion beside him. The sweet scent of berries tickled Dell's nostrils. Abruptly, he sat up stiff shouting "BREAKFAST!" Which woke up Machoke and startled Jakob and his pokemon.
Dell was dazed for a few seconds, then turned to Jakob and smiled. "What's cookin'? Smells good." "Uh... just a few berries. You can have some if you want..." "Much obliged, lil' buddy." He took a handful of oran berries to split between Machoke and him, and they ate so fast they basically inhaled them. Then, Dell noticed the note and read it. "So, does this mean we're gonna look for this James person or are we gonna leave on our lonesome?" "Well, uh... we should really look for James. I'm.. kinda worried. "Say no more. Let's git goin'. " |

As soon as James went to phone he dialed Bill once more.
"Hello, This is Bill." "Hey Bill, it's James, I think I'll need Murkrow now." "Ok, James. What's the big rush?" "Team--" as soon as the doors opened, a couple of Team Plasma members came inside. "They're here now." "Ok, I'll send it to you quickly." Then James looked at the Team Plasma members, as they were looking around, they seen James. "You boy! What is that Pokémon." as the Team Plasma member pointed at the Eevee. James stood up. "It's called an Eevee, and it's been with me for a while." "No that's a Pokémon that doesn't wish to be in Unova, you kidnapped it against it's will" A Poké Ball appeared from the phone's send/recieve device, "And now I have two." and James picked up the Poké Ball. "Please, sirs, no fighting in the Pokémon Center." the Nurse Joy was adamant of this. "Shut up, woman, your devices help brainwash these Pokémon to stay loyal to their trainers." and the Second Team Plasma member thrown a Poké Ball, and out came a Patrat, "You see, we don't listen to the likes of you or anybody else except to our superiors." The Patrat attacked the Nurse Joy, in front of James, "Go Murkrow!" and out came Murkrow from it's Poké Ball "Look Murkrow, I'm going to need your help for this one." "Patrat, attention, that Murkow is going to attack us." BATTLE! James VS. Team Plasma Grunts. "Murkrow use Peck on that Patrat!" And Murkrow did what it was ordered. "Patrat dodge it and use tackle it" and patrat dodged without a scratch and tackled Murkrow hard. "Murkrow!" "Go Woobat, attack that trainer now!" Woobat came out of it's Poké Ball, "Do what I ordered you to!" And Woobat used gust on James. "OOF! You think you can beat me?! Eevee I need you to help me!" Eevee got infront of James "Use bite!" and Eevee bit down on Woobat. "You see I have a bond with these Pokémon, nothing that you can do won't beat me." The 2nd grunt laughed "You think you're strong, it your Pokémon that does all the work for you!" James came running at the Team Plasma grunt, with a fist and punched the grunt's gut. "Eevee, Murkrow, I'll take care of these guys, you take care of that Patrat." and Eevee and Murkrow used a tackle and a peck respectively. "Uh James, I think I'm going to call Juniper's Lab to get some help from there" and Bill disconnected his phone call. The first team plasma grunt set out a Lillipup next, "Now you will see the true potential of Team Plasma!" "Two against three?!" "You three, attack those Pokémon and that trainer" and James flew to the corner of the Pokémon Center and Eevee and Murkrow got sent onto the other corner that was on the same wall. Eliana felt something nudging her shoulder gently. She shifted a little, but didn't open her eyes. The nudge came again, stronger this time.
"Too... early... lemme sleep..." She muttered, turning over. There was a pause, then a blast of water hit her square in the face. She sat bolt upright, coughing. "I'm awake, I'm awake!" She gasped. Maranda was sitting next to her, with a satisfied look on her face. Eliana looked down at her, then smiled, petting the mudkip gently. "Thanks, Maranda. I guess it is time to get up, huh?" She said. She looked up then, and saw the older boy from last night, who was sitting on a nearby couch, looking at her. His Quilava was looking at her and Maranda as well, though it appeared to be a little annoyed. Maybe Maranda's Water Gun had splashed it a little. Eliana smiled a little. "Good morning." She greeted. "Hi." He replied. "How long have you been awake?" "A few minutes." Eliana looked around. Aura was still asleep on his couch, but they appeared to be the only ones in the lobby. Eliana turned back to the older boy, and was about to say something, but Maranda nudged her hand, and beckoned over towards the far wall, which had a few phones lined up against it. "Oh crud, I forgot to call Mom!" Eliana said, standing up. She turned back to the boy and smiled. "I'll be right back." She said, then turned and went quickly towards one of the phones, Maranda right behind her. When she reached it, Eliana realized that it was a payphone. She dug in one of her pockets, then pulled out a coin, and slipped it into the slot. She then picked up the reciever, and dialed her Mom's phone number. The phone rang for several minutes, and, just when Eliana thought it would go to the answering machine, her Mom picked up. "Hello?" Her voice came through the phone. It sounded tired and worried. "Mom?" Eliana asked. "Eliana? Is that you!?" "Yes, Mom, it's me. Is something wrong?" "IS SOMETHING WRONG!?" Her Mom shouted. Eliana yanked the receiver away from her ear, though she could still hear her Mom's voice pretty clearly. "IS SOMETHING WRONG!?!? I'LL TELL YOU WHAT'S WRONG: FIRST, YOU DON'T CALL ME YESTERDAY, WHEN THE SHIP YOU WERE RIDING WOULD HAVE ARRIVED IN PORT, AND THEN I GET A CALL FROM PROFESSOR BIRCH AT THREE IN THE MORNING, TELLING ME THAT THE SHIP BLEW UP! I'VE BEEN WORRIED SICK ALL NIGHT! YOU SHOULD HAVE CALLED ME WHEN YOU ARRIVED!! "Mom, Mom, calm down." Eliana said, putting the receiver against her ear again. "I got off of the boat before it exploded." That was partially true. She had gotten off before it exploded. She decided not to tell her Mom that she'd gotten back on just before those people had made it explode. She heard her Mom taking several deep breaths, then she spoke again, though Eliana could hear her voice shaking with the effort of keeping herself under control. "If you had gotten off of the boat before it exploded, why didn't you call me?" "I was getting myself aquainted with the other trainers that were there." Eliana replied, glad that the screen on the phone at home was broken, so her Mom couldn't see her face. "There were a lot of them there, and I lost track of time. Then the ship exploded, and they needed trainers to help get the survivors to shore. I had Maranda help out. By the time we were done, it was really late, and I just fell asleep. I'm sorry I made you worry." "... I see..." Her Mom said softly, and Eliana was worried that her Mom had seen--or rather, heard--right through the lie. Then her Mother asked, "Are you alright?" "Yes, Mom, I'm fine." "Are you sure?" "Yes, I'm positive." "Alright. I need to get going now. It sounds like your sisters are awake." "I'm not surprised." Eliana muttered under her breath. "What was that?" "Nothing, Mom." Her Mom sighed. "Will you call me when you reach the next town?" "Yes, Mom." "I love you." "I love you, too" "Bye." "Goodbye." The line went dead, but Eliana didn't put the receiver up right away. She just stood there for a moment, staring at the blank screen, then she sighed softly, and hung the phone up, and turned to go back to the couch that she'd slept on the night before. Maranda followed, looking up at Eliana with concern. Eliana looked down and smiled a little, but didn't say anything. She reached the couch and sat down, digging in her backpack a moment, until she found a hairband, and pulled her hair up into a ponytail, still remaining silent. Your Lillipup must've taken some damage. What happened? Nurse Joy asked.
"Oh, uh, I kinda battled it in the wild then caught it." "Well the Pokemon you fought it with must be very strong." "Yeah, most people think I'm a weakling at first sight, but when I'm in battle, I'm a whole new person." Ark replied. "Well, now it's good as new! Take care on the road!" Thank you, I will! Ark said as he put Lillipup back in his Poke Ball. After Ark exited the Poke Center he sighed, *sigh* "Time to go back to Route 1." Ark headed through Route 1 finding no more wild Pokemon but a woman who was giving away free Potions. "May I have one?" "Sure. Take only a few though, more people might come by later." "Thank you," Ark called as he walked away. Near the end of Route 1, he found a sign with the words, "Accumula Town: The Fast-Growing Town!" Ark entered the town and was surrounded with new sights. |
