A new Pokémon has been leaked in the latest issue of CoroCoro. The character's name is Magearna (in Japanese, マギアナ Magiana) and appears to represent a robot. Its species name is the "Manmade Pokémon." As detailed in the article, Magiana will be featured in the next Pokémon movie, along with Volcanion.
Whether Magearna represents the first sneak peek of Generation VII or a hint towards a future entry of Generation VI is unknown. Source 1: Bulbanews Source 2: @Pokemon on Twitter Last edited by Cat333Pokémon; February 14, 2016 at 09:33:55 PM. |

Yeah, I'm thinking we might get a third "Z" version or similar first, but think about how the movies often featured a Pokémon early. I remember Munchlax being announced ridiculously early compared to when Generation IV came out.

If you go back on and X and Y, that hiker does mention about a town he knows of. You'll know in due time he says, i bet we might get like a mini region or something similar like the sevi islands?

Hmm, anyone here familiar with Italian? "Magiana" (Japanese version of the name) looks TANTALIZINGLY similar to Italian, but it's not exactly any word I know (or Google Translate knows) so it's otherwise not much of an observation. Gen 7 going to take place in Venice or something?

I can bring up the "mage" part of it: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/magus#Latin
Perhaps "gear" too, as its head is a gear. |
